I have brought 7 cars over the years from rmh I have never had a problem with a second hand car from roy my last car had somethings needed sorting which he got sorted out and everything is great I would recommend rmh cars to anyone what people need to understand is they are not new cars so there will always be something wrong but he has always fixed them

My husband recently purchased a vehicle from this individual, which has resulted in a significant financial loss due to serious mechanical issues that were not disclosed at the time of sale. In fact, problems occurred on the day of purchase.

We contacted the seller immediately to express our concerns. Although, he initially appeared responsive and collected the vehicle for diagnostic testing, the same issue reappeared within 20 minutes of its return. Following this, he became entirely unresponsive and ignored all further attempts at communication. We’ve now had no choice but to repair the car as the warranty doesn’t even cover the fault.

This individual engaged in the sale of our vehicle which wasn’t fully functional or roadworthy. Many of the defects are not disclosed in the advertisements, and the lack of transparency is both unethical and potentially unlawful.

Additionally, his business is not accredited with The Motor Ombudsman, which significantly limits the ability to pursue legal action, and only gets you to go through the small claims court. Which, depending on the cost of what you pay, can incur large fees. Sending formal letters for requests in refunds which we were within our right to pursue, led to no response from him at all.

If you are still considering purchasing a vehicle from this seller, I strongly advise taking the following precautions:

• Request complete and accurate documentation for the vehicle.
• Obtain a written declaration of any known faults or issues.
• If a warranty is offered, ensure that it explicitly covers the problems discussed.
• Arrange for an independent mechanical inspection prior to finalising the purchase.

This experience has been distressing and financially damaging. I sincerely hope that the appropriate authorities take note of this matter and our experience, to prevent others from being affected by such conduct.

Roy is such a genuine man, honest man that goes above and beyond to help you,and his after sales commitment is second to none, don't hesitate to buy from this company.

From seeing the car, to purchasing it Roy was brilliant, so easy to deal with completely honest about everything, a joy in today’s world! Will definitely recommend this Company.

Roy the owner of RMH cars sold me a really good car (Audi A6 Estate) and at a very very good price. He is very professional and pays attention to detail - so that his team will not let a car go out to the customer unless it is absolutely ok - in my case the car needed an ECU thing sorted out, disk brakes/pads and a leak. The ECU job cost him over 350 GBP- i know this because I saw the invoice.

They delivered the car 115 miles no extra cost - a huge advantage to me as I am busy in work every day.

Roy is 'old school', and like me, insists on quality - this is a rare level of customer support - I have no hesitation in going back to him for another car or recommending his company RMH Cars to anyone.

I think it would be a great idea to ask him to look out for a model I require next time I am in the market, and let him find one.

Certainly RMH cars are now my 'goto' source for good secondhand cars.
Importantly what you get with RMH cars is peace of mind and quality - that is hard to acheive these days in the open secondhand car market.
