This is the worst Union I have ever known in this country. Their negotiation tactics always lead to tube strikes, which are very selfish and ruin other people's journeys in the city. I think you hav... See more

Mick Lynch is amazing

Mick Lynch is amazing.

I'm so sick of this government catastrophically failing at everything (no, they haven't got any big call right, Bozo is lying to you all) and blaming everyone else for their failings.

We need more Mick Lynch's in this world. If I had the chance to be in a union led by him I'd bite their hand off.

Please people stop believing whatever lies the billionaire owner's newspapers spout out, look at the actual evidence and think for yourselves. If Nurses and Teachers are using foodbanks how long until you are?

Misguided Public

I work on the railway and get paid £23k. I can't believe the government has brainwashed the general public into thinking we're the villains. Drivers are part of the ASLEF Union and aren't the ones striking. RMT represents ticket office staff, gate staff, cleaners and operatives on and off the rail. None of us are paid more than a base rate of £31k. Everyone needs to join a union and fight for better pay, no matter what job you are in. This is entirely the fault of the government who have got this country over a barrel. How else are we meant to kick-start real change, Facebook memes and slacktivism?

Rude and unhelpful "Branch secretary" Mrs Adams.

Initially tried to get in touch with Mrs Jenny Adams The St Albans Branch Secretary but without any success(both phone call ,emails sent)
Just got a phone call - she did her best to get to the point to hang up on me.
She had rudely cut in every time I started to talk when I pointed this out to her she did hang up on me...when I had referred to her as "Ms" she corrected me to say " It's Mrs " so sensitive- what for?...the nature of her phone call was not to help but make me quit RMT as I am a bus driver,so I have...as there is no help for members unless you're in Railway sector.

RMT! Why bother!

No RMT Support working for the Railway. Reps always say that they do this voluntarily during their own time and can’t have the audacity to help. When there’s other issues to voice at RMT meetings, the reps just sit next to you and don’t defend your corner like they are meant to do. The worst of all is the majority of Reps who attend are railway clerks and train managers doing a voluntary good will scheme (in the click with management)! If they don’t like you then they will try and sack you! This has no bearing on the individual because the can’t and don make suggestions, they are not independent and work with the same managers and colleagues. All of a sudden P & O staff loose their jobs and they want to help! That’s the job of a solicitor anyway not dealing with real work related issues as per the reviews below. A clear example is if you work for GWR and need RMT representation. The reps are not interested and take the managers side. It’s not Gods wonderful Railway!

The recent strikes called by this union…

The recent strikes called by this union pre christmas during a dangerous surge in Omicron has resulted in overcrowded trains . I have witnessed staff not wearing masks . The subsequent actions of this union has directly put the lives of its customers at risk and badly affected small business in London relying on people being able to travel properly to their destination.

RMT should be scrapped

The RMT needlessly and single-handedly have cause untold pain and damage to business. They hold society to ransom. They have pushed up the wages of uneducated staff far beyond they deserve and resist reform. As a result, we have overpriced train travel, too many useless staff. A menace to society who should be ashamed of their actions.
