Untrustworthy bully's

My experience with ROAR B2B:

During my tenure at Prysm Media, ROAR B2B acquired the RWM event. As part of the acquisition, there was an employee clause ensuring the retention of original staff for one year, supported by TUPE assurances.

However, the transition brought significant challenges. The new management team transformed the sales office environment, leading to a highly stressful atmosphere. Regular morning meetings often involved intense displays of frustration from the new Managing Director, which created a difficult work environment. Instances of bullying and unethical practices became increasingly prevalent.

Shortly after meeting the new management team, my former Managing Director informed me that my presence was not well-received by the new owners. Despite achieving a record-breaking 89.9% rebook rate and securing 795 meters of floor space, I was made to feel unwelcome.

Before my departure, my commission was guaranteed through a legal agreement. However, there were discrepancies regarding payments, with exhibitors confirming their payments but no updates being provided. After numerous discussions, I agreed to a lower amount to resolve the situation, but the process involved unacceptable threats from the CEO.

I advise caution and vigilance when dealing with this company. My commission agreement is now with debt collection, and ACAS is reviewing my employee experience and the TUPE process during my tenure.

I have testament from other employees of their experience and verification of my experience from their own perspective and what they witnessed.

Zero support for exhibitors for Naidex at NEC Birmingham

Roar B2B run the Naidex exhibition that takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on a yearly basis. The exhibition is for people with disabilities.

We have supported the event for many many years and in 2019 we booked our next exhibition stand at Naidex 2020 during the show.

The event was due to take place in March 2020 and was postponed for the Covid situation. We were then given no option to cancel or take a refund, instead we were told they would be hosting the event in July 2020. Again they completely refused a refund and quickly changed the date to Nov 2020. Again they declined a refund. They then changed the date to March 2021, again no refund and now it has been changed again to September 2021.

This event is run for the most vulnerable in society during the pandemic and nobody knows whether this event will ever take place.

There have been 5 dates given to us and they are hiding behind one line in a contract stating "can be moved within a reasonable period of time".... How is 18 Months later reasonable?

They have done zero marketing of businesses that they have taken thousands of pounds from, and show zero empathy for businesses who have been hit hard.

It is a disgrace to retain money for an event they have no clue can run.

The customer service is shocking from Roar B2B when you try to reason with them. Should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Advice for others? Avoid handing cash over they will never refund it if something goes wrong.
