These guys don't care about their customers and even less about the shops that helps them selling them.
Here in Denmark we have a lot of very good alternative suppliers with at least as good a quality but at less than half the price.
Everybody knows that here.
But the fact that they have such a bad service might not be as well known, as they always hide behind the resellers to take the heat.
My experience was when glasses broke just after a few months and they didn't want to replace or anything, even though the guarantee should cover it.
They just take up an arrogant attitude telling you that it is your own fault or blaming the frame manufacturer not being good enough to handle the glasses.
My reseller fully agreed, but there was nothing they could do. "They are ALWAYS like that" I was told.
The reseller offered me to help me out, paying half of the cost (probably just their commission, that they would otherwise have got on top of something that should have been a free guarantee covering), but they could not get anything from Rodenstock, even if it was one of their glasses that broke without cause.
I asked them to give me the number and gave them a call once they received the broken glass.
And yes, just as warned, I got the message:
"we don't care"
"we don't replace because it is your own fault if the glasses breaks with normal use"
"The glass met the specifications, so if it broke, it is not our fault"
Well, here I am trying to warn others to avoid a similar experience.
Buy your glasses somewhere else if possible. Every time I have had any issues with other suppliers, they have always been more than helpful and kind.
These guys (at least in Denmark) don't care about you as a customer.
