NEVER STAY AT THE RODEWAY INN IN RAPID CITY , SOUTH DAKOTA
We stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Rapid City South Dakota June 19- 21 and will not stay the again. We checked in on the 19th and the young lady that checked us in changed our room from the second floor to the first floor since i was having surgery so i wouldn't have to climb the stairs since they don't have elevators. On the 20th after my surgery we went back to our room so we could eat and rest and we tried our keys for the door and they didn't work . So my husband went to the front desk and told them our keys did't work for our room , so he told them our room number and they rest our keys. When he came back to the room and we opened our door all our stuff was gone. He went back to the front desk and asked them were our stuff was at and they tried to say we did't stay in that room the night before even though they took all our stuff out of the room . The manger was very rude to mu husband and told him she knows we never stayed in that room . She said the young lady that checked us in didn't put our name in the computer for the room .So then I asked them what they did with all our food that was in the refrigerator , they told us that they threw it away , which all of it was worth $115.00 , that was the food that we were going to eat for supper and all our snacks and drinks. We had ice packs in the freezer that goes in the 2 coolers we had that they could have put the food in the coolers with the ice packs the way we pack them . But they said they threw the food away. But when they took the stuff out of the room they put the ice packs in the coolers but didn't put the food or our drinks in the coolers. Plus I have to wear prescription compression socks that i have to go to the doctor and get a prescription for my socks, and they threw one of my socks away. I can't believe they threw away $115.00 dollars worth of food , drinks and snacks and threw my Prescription compression socks . We had to end up going and buying the same food they said they threw away , so i took pictures of the receipts and asked them what they were going to do about it since it was their screw up and the manager said she would have to talk to the owner and see what could be done . I told her I wanted to talk to the owner but she would not give me a number to contact the owner when i called back to the hotel. SHE said all they would do is credit us $12.00 . I have not heard anything from the owner and $12.00 want even cover the food or drinks or the compression socks they threw away. I think it is total bull crap that they treat people this way . I can bet you they wouldn't want anyone to do this to their family. SO NO WAY WOULD I TELL ANYONE TO EVER STAY AT THE RODEWAY INN IN RAPID CITY SOUTH DAKOTA . Plus I think it is pretty bad when something like this happens and the owner can't even call you and talk to you even though it was the motel that screwed up not us .
Rodeway inn should be relocated to India! back
Rodeway inn motel Charlotte NC
3209 Queens City Drive Charlotte NC
I could not believe that any motel manager and staff could behave this way toward paying clients.
Today was my check out day. I overslept. I called the desk clerk to charge me for a couple of hours extra socI could finish packing. He told me if I did not finish. before 12:09. I would have to check out and check in again after 3:00 since I had made another reservation for today till the 10. I was interrupted 4 times by staff telling me I had to check out. Then the manager came over with a police officer to order me to leave now. He said he cancelled my new reservation. The two acted as if from some other planet. They treated me like some unwanted beggar in India. A neighbor helped me to take my belongings outside to vacate the room. While I was packing , staff came by to ask me to leave Since making the new reservation I had purchased new supplies that I had to get rid of so I could fit all in a cab. While doing so one hotel maid picks up a broom and start sweeping the dust in my direction. I make her stop. Upon finishing I sit on
my back pack to reserve a new hotel. The cleaning crew insists that I clear out. I tell her I have to get a new hotel then a taxi. It took all I got to keep from throwing the trash at her. These want to be millionaires from India should learn that in America, clients are not treated this way! I was not even given time to clean up before leaving!
This is not business as usual!!
Dunmore PA Rodeway Inn
Dunmore, PA - My experience here each time has been perfect. First thing, and most importantly, the new ownership and management are wonderful people. That is amazingly important to me. They are very kind, respectful and very accommodating. My shower wasn't working correctly (it's since been fixed) and he absolutely insisted I upgrade my room. I was trying to say I was fine using the tub so he wouldn't have to change my room. But he insisted I go to the King bedroom. The hotel is in the process of being revamped. They are working hard at it. However, the beds are super comfy. And the place is very quiet. So, great people. Comfy beds and quiet. Gets 5 stars from me every time.

poorly run trap house cops swarming the Area, ghetto, white trash trailer park motel… Cockroaches on the floor the only reason we stayed there is because it was during the hurricane and unfortunately, there was nothing left and we had no electricity. I actually thought about sleeping in my car however we needed air-conditioning … I refused to even go in the bathtub, I did not sit on the seat, my fiancé went and bought new sheets to put over the old sheets… we sprayed Lysol over the entire room .There was no way that without torching myself after Laying in it. It’s actually a very embarrassing hotel. I am 100% sure there’s drugs run through there and prostitution run through there. There’s no way there isn’t. Why else would there be literally five cop cars guarding the place. You might as well go sleep on a cot in the middle of a homeless shelter I would’ve rather do that. For some reason, they kept my $60 hold which I’m not even sure I guess they need the $60 to pay one of the maids their monthly salary.. they should be ashamed to themselves!!!!
Lake Placid New York
Lake Placid New York
Room was supposed to be Handicap accessible. It had assisist handles in the bathroom and the special fire alarm in the main room. However, there was a tub in the bathroom, not a walk in shower. As a result, my wife was unable to take a shower for three days. I do not feel that this is an ADA compliant room. Also, the pitiful breakfast offerings were down a steep set of stairs which made them inaccessible to my wife.
That place allows dope dealers, human trafficking, and sex trafficking there for a price
In December 2020 there was a sex trafficking ring In several rooms. I heard people being raped asking the manager and housekeeper to help them so, the manager brings out a long piece of rope and helped those drug attics tie them all up again. That place needs to be shut down immediately!!! Why help drug trafficking, human trafficking and sex trafficking??? Just so you have a few extra dollars or some dope in your pockets????
I had a rather disappointing experience…
I had a rather disappointing experience at the Rodeway Inn in Boston. I left my car in their hotel parking lot, expecting a hassle-free experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
Upon arrival, I was asked to leave my car keys with the hotel staff, which I did. However, when I returned to pick up my car after my trip, they had moved my car from its original parking spot and, to my dismay, there was visible damage to my vehicle.
I immediately brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff who tried to contact the managers with no successful, hoping for a resolution or at least some assistance in addressing the damage caused to my car. Regrettably, the current manager on duty offered no support or willingness to take responsibility for the incident. I found this lack of customer service and accountability deeply disappointing.
It's disheartening to have entrusted my vehicle to a hotel's service and to be met with such negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction. I would caution others considering this service at the Rodeway Inn in Boston to exercise caution and consider alternative options where the safety and security of their vehicles are better ensured. Overall, my experience left me dissatisfied and frustrated, as I was left to deal with the damage to my car on my own, without any cooperation from the hotel.

Thieving Employee-Nasty Hotel
Thieving Employee, Dirty Floors, Stinking Room - Don't risk your safety by staying at Rodeway Inn / Choice Hotels in Hays, KS. Rodeway Inn / Choice Hotels employee broke into my room and stole my bag, clothes, electronic equipment, and personal items. The owner told me he would not help me nor reimburse me for my items his employee stole. The owner rudely told me to call the police and take care of the theft myself. I contacted the parent company, Choice Hotels and they said they wouldn't help me and that I needed to work things out with the hotel owner. I filed a police report and met with a police officer. The police officer informed me that the Rodeway Inn hotel has the most crime of any hotel in Hays, KS and the police department is very familiar with this hotel. Regarding the hotel, it is the least expensive hotel in Hays, and I discovered why. The room stinks. The bed stinks. The pillows stink. The hotel provided towel stank so badly that I felt the need to step back in the shower and shower off again. Floors are dirty and will turn your socks and feet black quickly. I knew I wasn't staying at a 5-star hotel but the employee theft, the owner's rude "customer service," the horrendous smells, the dirty floors, and the tacky room made me regret trying to save a few dollars. Don't stay here unless you want to be burgled and then have the owner berate you for being a victim. Choice Hotels, the parent company, while their customer service reps were nice, was unhelpful at best and instructed me to work things out with the Rodeway Inn manager. Choice Hotels offered me "points" as a compensation but it was a bait and switch which required me to spend more money with their company to take advantage of the "points." Don't stay at any Choice Hotels because they have proven they will protect thieving employees more than their customers.
Terrible
Terrible. Claim to have shuttle and they are 12 minutes away even in horrible traffic. Never came after 80 minutes. Tried calling kept getting hung up on. Hotel nearby was nice enough to give me ride. Long line at front desk. Not the friendliest. Room was mediocre. Have the audacity to charge a resort fee on top of room. Total joke for the price

Rodeway inn and suites Jentzen beach
Rodeway inn and suites Jentzen beach, Portland, Oregon. On January 3, 2023, my family and I checked in to the Roadway Inn and Suites in Jantzen Beach Portland, Oregon for a 4-night stay while my husband attended to business in the area. The Rodeway Inn and Suites is a member of the Choice hotel chain and I have always been a massive fan of them. On the second day of our stay, my children (2 and 1) were asleep and I was waiting on my husband to come in from work when I heard the door to our room open and hit the security latch. I jumped up to let in who I thought was my husband only there was nobody on the other side of the door. I immediately eased the door shut and looked out the peephole. A second or two later a short curly haired female security guard comes peeking her head around the corner and stands there for a minute squinting at the room number plaque and then looking down at a piece of paper in her hand. She does this several times and leans forward as if listening for movement in the room. Then turns around and walks down the hall. I text my husband, immediately, telling him about this. Why would independent contractors that work for Rodeway have master key access to the rooms? The woman didn’t even knock and announce herself. They are not employees of Choice hotels.
Saturday morning comes around and I am sitting there drinking coffee waiting on the rest of my family to wake up. There is a heavy knock at the door followed by a male voice saying “security”. I open the door and there are two security guards who are telling me about some handheld device they have detecting particulates of smoke from underneath our door. I am seven months pregnant, a non-smoker, and have two small children. We do not smoke in our house or anywhere else like that. And certainly would not violate the policies of the hotel. I like getting the security deposit back. Not to mention smoke rises. The hotel room would have had to be completely filled with smoke for it to be coming under the door. When I opened the door to speak with the security guards a cloud of smoke should have rolled out on top of them. We have smelled marijuana smoke and cigarette smoke on several occasions and even down by the front desk. I wake my husband up and he comes to the door telling them they have it wrong, but they refuse to listen. The security guards tell us we have to leave. My husband just shuts the door and goes about his morning routine. A few minutes later there is another knock and it is the two security guards along with a female employee of Choice Hotels. They are being incredibly ugly treating us as if we are lying criminals or, were in jail. Their tone was extremely rude and condescending. The female informs us we have 45 minutes to vacate or, she will call the police. And, they would be keeping the monies we had already paid for the room.
I begin getting all of our stuff together and the monumental task of getting myself and the kids ready to leave. I am moving a bag up by the door to the hallway and go to turn around and my heel sinks down onto an exposed tack strip by the door. My husband, alarmed, comes to see what is wrong with me and inspects the tack strip and cannot believe the shape it is in there is a spot where the only thing left of the carpet is the backing. Not only is the rusty dirty nasty tack strip exposed but whoever had initially put the tack strip in place had left about a quarter of an inch of the nails sticking up as well. It would have been well known to the staff at the Rodeway Inn because this tack strip would have snatched on any vacuum cleaner that was used and it was obviously vacuumed ALOT because it was frayed badly. I am very very upset by this point and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I finish packing up our things in tears.. We had just finished and loaded up the luggage cart when the two security guards and the actual manager show up apologizing and thanking us for our patience with them, telling us we don’t have to leave. The hotel staff had placed a tow sticker on our vehicle, as well, even though they did not give us a renewed parking pass. I ended up having to go have a tetanus shot but, thankfully our babies had not stepped on the tack strip as well. We called choice hotels to voice our displeasure to them and they offered us 8,000 choice points (equivalent to $45 USD) for all the trouble and tried to upsell us a 4-day vacation package somewhere. What was once one of my favorite hotel chains quickly fell into one of my most disliked. What a shame.
If I could give a zero I would
If I could give a zero I would. The Rodeway in in Vancouver Washington is so scandalous. I went through hotels.com and chose to pay at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel to pay the Indian guy that owns the hotel said he gave my rooms away. He said he ran my card that morning and it declined. All I had to do was transfer the money from one account to another. He didn’t wait till I got to the hotel like the website says. I ended up getting a room at Motel 6 which seems to be an upgrade from Rodeway inn.
A bad experience in Rodeway Inn Morrobay last…
I was in Rodeway Inn Morrobay last month with a friends. We guaranteed two rooms reservation with my credit card, and we paid on cash. Three days after, I noted a charged of the two rooms in my credit card. We called the manager and he said that if we didn’t have the receive, he couldn’t make anything. We didn’t have the receive but in the hotel system was clear that we already paid in cash. We loose the money and we felt that situation like a robe. We loose USD 500 in a terrible hotel.
I stayed at rodeway inn in Clarksville…
I stayed at rodeway inn in Clarksville Tennessee.i paid with my card and they charged my card 3 times for one night and had to fight to get my money back.also i had booked it through booking.com and the motel charged me $20 more than they were supposed to and when i went down there to prove it to them the lady called the police and said i created a disturbance which i didnt
Choice hotels is a complete joke
An update. Choice hotels did absolutely zero about any of this. Nothing
Whatever you’re thinking whatever you’re doing DO NOT STAY HERE. don’t give this pathetic excuse for a hotel or the rude disgusting men that run it one cent of your money. When I said I complained to choice hotels the manager said get out tomorrow. We had a emergency because of the riots and this was the only place available at the time. A total dump. The outlets don’t even work. It’s a joke a bad one. A filthy, dark dismal place where you’re lucky to get new towels. And of course choice hotels didn’t care at all. They dismissed my complaint because we were still checked in. The keycards never work. The garbage is piled up next to a broken ice machine. I really can’t give this place a worse review. Please don’t give it any of your hard earned money
The front desk charge me an extra day
The front desk charge me an extra day. The front desk lady yelled at me. I told I didn't not have any more money and couldnt pay the pet fee. In which I talked to the man on the phone before I checked in. He told me don't worry about the dog. When i checked in he never mentioned a dog. Now my bank account has been charged for $46.70 for pet free and another day for $57.21. I have 8.35 balance in my bank account to get home. I have filed with my bank. WATCH OUT THEY KEEP YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION ! TTHEY WILL DEBIT YOUR ACCOUNT AS THEY PLEASE. The room was dirty dusty, the towels looked stained and dont use the phone it's just plain nasty. Do not come here they will screw you and the rooms stink!!!
BED BUGS!!!
Decided to take my family to Rehobeth Beach for summer vacation.. looked online Thought I was getting a good deal with the Rodeway Inn turned out to be a horror movie!! Literally!! Smelled like mildew but it was late so we settled in right about 3am I here my 16 year old son screaming at the top of his lungs DAD DAD THEY ARE BITING ME!!! So I jumped up ran to his bed turned on the light just to See BED BUGS BED BUGS!!! All over the bed.. they bit him all over his body and the manager tried to offer us a free stay for the weekend like what the to the Hell no EVER!! Stay away from the Rodeway Inn route 13 south in Rehobeth Beach Delaware!! Disgusting
Zero stars! Worst motel stay in 20 years!
I arrived very late, got my rental car and drove to Rodeway Inn & Suites Downtown North in Austin, TX. After finding the dilapidated "motel" hiding behind a dilapidated restaurant I should have turned around and left. It was late and I was really tired and had an early morning meeting. So I braced myself and got out of the car to find the lobby locked and what looks like a currency exchange window with bulletproof glass and a narrow slot to pass the card key, I got checked in. There was a note that they had no rooms available.
I drove around to the end where my room was and opened the door. A horrible acrid blast of old cigarettes assailed and debilitated my senses. Remembering that there were no other rooms available I resigned myself to get a few hours sleep, a shower, and leave hoping to forget this night.
The carpet was somewhat sticky when I walked around the room, I didn't want to think about how dirty the whole place was. There was not a flat surface in the room that didn't have a cigarette burn on it, including the bedspread, sheets, and pillowcase. Sleeping was just not possible, I napped in between choking on the foul air. Eventually, it was getting light out. Though bleary-eyed, I couldn't wait to shower and get out of there. I turned on the bathroom light and there was dirt piled up around the tub and toilet. [Unfortunately, I can't post the pictures in this review].
I left with my clothes reeking from the foul cigarette smoke pervading the room.
Ironically, Rodeway Inn is owned by "Choice Hotels." Never will I step foot in any of their brand hotels (Clarion, Quality Inn, etc.), I would rather sleep in the car.
I'm sorry I can't leave zero, or better yet, negative stars.
