Expensive and incompetent

They were the most expensive quotation I received, however as they'd been recommended by my neighbour I went ahead and used them.

They were very efficient at removing everything, though took some pictures from the wall that I'd told them to leave, which i didn't notice until I'd moved, so it cost me to send them to the new owners.

The chaps who moved me were pleasant enough.

I had two gripes with them. (1) My chest freezer which was only a few weeks old was damaged during the move. I chased them and chased them, getting no satisfactory response. In the end I was told "Rick would pop in next time he was in the area". I've been moved over a year and he hasn't "popped in", and indeed now I wouldn't want to see him again anyway.

(2) I always do my own packing (this was my 12th move) and I spent a small fortune on bubble wrap to ensure that everything is cushioned. In previous moves, I may have had 1 or 2 items broken or damaged, however I had about a dozen items broken beyond repair. I didn't complain about this because I know there was nothing I could have done as i'd done my own packing and they could have "claimed" I didn't pack well enough. However, i know the quality of my packing and it stood out in this move how many more broken or damaged items I had.

In summary - don't be fooled that a high price = quality move ... because it doesn't.
