Extremely disappointed with ROYAL AIR…

Extremely disappointed with ROYAL AIR MAROC. The lack of professionalism was obvious from start to finish. My luggage was lost, and the compensation offered does not even come close to covering the damage caused. I would strongly advise against using this airline.

Dear Royal Air Maroc Customer Service…

Dear Royal Air Maroc Customer Service Team,

My name is Godfrey O. Imalele. I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding my delayed baggage, which has now been missing for eight (8) days.

Details:

- E-Ticket Number: 01473004490504
- Baggage Tag Number: AT615505
- Phone Number: +2348138181414

I have been staying in a hotel for the past 8 days without my luggage. This situation has caused me serious inconvenience, embarrassment, and additional expenses for basic necessities. Despite repeated attempts, I have been unable to reach your customer care, which has further worsened the situation.

This delay is unacceptable and far beyond a reasonable timeframe. I kindly but firmly request:

1. Immediate delivery of my luggage, or
2. Urgent confirmation that my luggage is lost, and
3. Prompt processing of compensation in line with applicable aviation regulations.

If I do not receive a clear update or resolution within the next 48 hours, I will be compelled to pursue this matter further through formal complaints and regulatory channels.

I trusted Royal Air Maroc with my belongings and expect a swift and responsible resolution. Please treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.

I look forward to your immediate response.

Yours sincerely,
Godfrey O. Imalele

The worst airline

I wish one could give zero. This airline has zero respect for its customers: it sells over priced tickets on routes that it is often the only airline to fly, then most flights get delayed at least 1 hour, and their staff is generally unprofessional and disrespectful. To add insult to injury, they routinely lose passengers luggage. Avoid at all costs.

Don’t fly with them

Horrible experience with Royal Air Maroc. Their customer service is extremely poor; they ignored all my emails about lost baggage, which they also mishandled on a previous flight. On my latest trip, they changed my seat at the gate without notice, leaving me stuck on an overnight flight. Flights were late, staff unhelpful, and overall it was a stressful and frustrating experience. I would not recommend flying with them.

The worse airline on the planet!

The worse airline on the planet!
Whether u fly economy or business makes no difference. Your luggage can be equally lost. It’s been 10 days and my luggage contains insulin injections that need to be refrigerated! Medicine costs a fortune and moreover it is impossible to obtain in the country where I’m at the moment. The airline isn’t responding to foreign luggage liaisons, no emails, no calls, only Instagram social media works.
I invite all passengers who have suffered at the hands of this mishandling airline to write to media outlets and join us in search of my missing luggage!

A rude/horrific experience

Lost my checked bags for 7 days out of a 10 day holiday. Had to hound them for updates, as there is no proper tracking/established system as other airlines.

Delayed for 2 hours AFTER boarding, didnt tell anyone why for 1.5 hours.
Incredibly rude flight attendants, when we asked what was up with delays and how it affects connection, we were straight up told it wasnt their problem. HUH??? WHOSE IS IT???

After delaying our checked bags, they then wanted to check my carry-on. Absolutely not.

If you want to take a transatlantic flight with them, just dont. Pay the extra 300 elsewhere and avoid. I promise that not doing that WILL bite you in the butt in some capacity

They also constantly oversell their flights, but unlike most airlines they have little or no offering of compensation.

Again, please dont do it. I and my familly will most certainly not. If I could give negative or zero stars, I would have. Horrible.

My flight was delayed by more than 4…

My flight was delayed by more than 4 hours (and ultimately cancelled), yet the customer support doesn't make it easy to find where to claim compensation. The whole process lacked clarity, we all boarded the flight then were requested to leave the plane following a technical issue which never got solved. I only give it 2* as I still like the fact it's part of Oneworld, and I hope they provide a compensation in a timely manner. Overall this was a fixed experience.

Stay away from Royal Air Maroc like a plague

I have heard terrible things about Royal Air Maroc but didn't think it was really that bad until it happened to me. I had a delay of 15+ hours in Casanblanca. Got to JFK New York and my checked-in luggage was missing. It's two days now I haven't gotten my missing luggage.

A Catalogue of Failures: Rose and Kweku Amankwa Experience with Royal Air Maroc

This is, without question, the worst airline I have ever travelled with. The following points outline the reasons for this assessment:
• Transit through Casablanca Airport is strongly inadvisable. Toilet attendants aggressively demand payment for access to the facilities, often targeting teenagers. In some instances, they reportedly attempt to obtain credit card details. Travellers should exercise extreme caution.
• Staff conduct at Casablanca Airport is wholly unacceptable. Airport and airline staff frequently harass and embarrass passengers, deliberately claiming not to understand English and providing misleading or incorrect directions.
• Mis-selling of services is commonplace at Casablanca Airport, leaving passengers confused and disadvantaged.
• Accommodation provided due to flight delays is of an extremely poor standard. Hotels arranged by the airline were unhygienic, with visibly dirty rooms and beds made with used sheets.
• Discriminatory service at hotels was evident, with staff selectively choosing whom they would serve.
• Luggage handling represents the airline’s most serious failure. On our flight, not a single passenger received all of their luggage. Approximately 95% of passengers did not receive any luggage at all. Essential items, including documents required for the purpose of travel, clothing, and basic toiletries, were missing. Many passengers arrived at their destination feeling distressed, helpless, and utterly unprepared, akin to being displaced.
After several days of repeatedly chasing the airline, most passengers only received their luggage one day before travelling back. Some passengers did not receive their luggage at all and were forced to return to their country of origin without it. Upon arrival at London Gatwick, several passengers again failed to receive their luggage. To the best of my knowledge, some are still in dispute with the airline over missing baggage during the festival period, at the time of writing.
• Operational incompetence is routine. During our transit at Casablanca, the boarding time stated was 12:10 pm. We arrived at the gate at 11:50 am, and the aircraft was scheduled to depart at 12:55 pm. Despite this, a gate staff member rudely refused us boarding, claiming we were late. When I pointed out the time on my watch and the boarding pass, my concerns were dismissed without explanation, and the staff member walked away, leaving us stranded.

In summary, from customer service and staff conduct to luggage handling, timekeeping, and overall operational management, Royal Air Maroc demonstrates a level of incompetence and disregard for passengers that is entirely unacceptable. I would strongly advise travellers to avoid this airline under all circumstances. I’d rather swim across the ocean than board the airline.

Banjul (Gambia) Casablanca on 24th Dec

Banjul (Gambia) Casablanca on 24th Dec. 2025. This was 1st leg on a lengthy journey across Africa. RAM in Banjul could not issue all onward Boarding Passes with OW-partners, but it was later amended in Casablanca. Aircraft was surprisingly upgraded from a narrowbody to a Dreamliner B787-800, filled by only 20+ persons. Took a seat in the middle, surrounded by loads of empty seats. The catering was hasty and very superficial, only a single cold sandwich was served, wine given upon request, though. I felt comfortable with all the space and IFE. Got no extra sandwich despite requesting it but was offered extra local red wine instead - without requesting it. On this 3-hour red-eye flight the staff was hardly seen and the galleys unstaffed. Hear-sets provided for IFE, which was good. However, no pillows or blankets could be provided and cabin was chilly.

In Casablanca, RAM kept their website promises of providing a smooth hotel stop-over including meals and transport for passengers with 6+ hours transit. Immigration hurdle was to queue for more than ½ hour. I was put up in a single room in the well-functioning 3 star Relax hotel (owned by the airline). Forre breakfast they provided fresh baked bread, served individually at tables. Got also a nice lunch within my 10 hours’ stay. I felt pampered and respected.

RAM provides 2 x 23 kg luggage for luggage checked to final destination, in this case to Rwanda. 2 suitcases made it well, though a handle had gone missing. 2nd time with RAM, ticket not expensive, cooperation with Oneworld and Qatar works. Miles given. Recommend.

Lost luggage, no response, underwhelming service

Our flight from Amsterdam to Banjul connecting through Casablanca worked ok. However, most of our luggage was delayed. We were able to locate one piece of our luggage in Benin, however, no contact address of RAM got us any reply and no action was taken for days. Our luggage still stays in Benin and the service of RAM is underwhelming. Would not recommend at all.

The most hypocritical company in the…

The most hypocritical company in the world.
They send a survey mail only when everything was ok !
When the flight is 80 minutes late at departure : no mail, no survey.
It's the second time for me.
And they lie about the cause of delay.

If I could put 0 stars I would

If I could put 0 stars I would. It’s better to not fly than to fly with Royal Air Maroc. This is the worst airline I have ever used. The staff are rude, the planes are dated and you are lucky if you get your suitcase.

My suitcase hasn’t arrived in 5 days. I have medication I desperately need in my suitcase and Royal Air Maroc has been uncooperative and unhelpful.

Absolute garbage - AVOID

Absolute garbage that makes the likes of RyanAir and EasyJet look like luxury airlines. I do not know HOW this sad excuse of an airline got accepted into OneWorld, but it should definitely not be a part of that alliance. A truly appalling combination of :
1. The airline being incompetent beyond belief - flights rescheduled, no alternatives provided, calls unanswered, offices closed, emails ignored for 10 days and counting. The only lounge in Marrakesh was closed, making me sit in a small dirty room that did not even have water provided. The business / first lounge in Casablanca was open, but it was absolutely pathetic, felt like a bad school cafeteria with some very basic snacks that were completely inedible, some very bad tasting wine and their local tea, which was the only thing I could drink. Left hungry and very angry.
2. Very bad attitude of all staff members, who did not even pretend to care about the issues covered above.

If you are planning to use this airline / do not do it. Do not be fooled by the word “Royal” or the OneWorld alliance logo like I did, this garbage airline should not exist.
