If you're a member, good luck reserving
This is 100% related to the online "booking request" system, not the resorts themselves. We love the Sandos resorts, BUT... now I don't want to be a member. Mainly because there's no personalized help, all canned responses. My booking was complicated, 5 rooms with 2 different arrival dates. I managed to put in the request online, including in the comments for each additional room it was connected to me, the member. I received 2 confirmation of my requests emails back but nothing confirming my questions. I got the second date wrong, and when I replied to fix it, the reservation person #27 couldn't help, he said I'd have to re-enter it online. I went online and the prices had gone up $30/night! For 5 rooms, 9 nights, that's a lot! So I phoned, and whoever answered (reservation rep #43, perhaps?!) was completely unhelpful, directing me to go back online, and wouldn't honor the prices I was given 5 days earlier. As a member I expect better, and my family will go elsewhere this trip. I'm convinced they don't want existing members to visit; only newbies who they can sic their sales people onto. Very sad, my kids were really looking forward to going back to Sandos Playacar.
