Letting the side down

This should be a great shop - one of those old world quality clothing retailers where you sense tradition and contemporary fashion have blended to give you something special. And for the most part it does. Great place for the dashing man and woman about town and country with an excellent range for both casual and formal wear. I've bought a fair amount of stuff out of it over the years but twice now I've walked out with a slight frown.

There are one or two of the staff who just don't seem to be able to make that essential customer connection. Don't get me wrong, there are also one or two who make it very good too but it only takes one to let the side down badly. Yesterday was a case in point. I think R Scott you know who your gems are and I think you also know who are lacking eye contact, empathy, engagement and have tired, dirty shoes. Not a great advert for a premium retailer knocking out £240 pairs of Barkers.

Think about what experience you want your customers to remember - preferably one that matches the quality of your products.
