My daughter and I went to the Victoria store yesterday and were served by the delightful Laura and Michelle. They were both superb and this was by far the best trainer buying experience I have ever had, far better even than Sweatshop, where they use a treadmill for gait analysis. The staff were wonderful - friendly, courteous and knew exactly what they were doing - the Rigby and Peller of trainer fitting. There was no pushy sell, they simply found me the best fitting, most suitable trainers for my run. I will never buy my running shoes anywhere else again.

Went for gait analysis to the cardiff branch today.
Absolutely 5 star service

Great service! Ordered some new Hokas on a Friday morning and had them in NI by Monday afternoon.

Top marks for no additional shipping costs to NI. Too many companies who claim to offer free UK shipping often exclude us from this benefit, so thanks guys👍👍👍

Totally disorganised and incompetent. I went in to their Victoria store to buy a pair of running shoes and, after gait analysis, was recommended an American brand. They didn’t have the colour I wanted, so I was asked to complete a contact form and promised a call when the shoes arrived. No one called for a month. When I called them, they couldn’t find my form. Finally, after much searching, I was told that the shoes had arrived. When I went in to the store the next day, the shoes weren’t where they were supposed to be. Again much searching and chaos, and then I was told that they had received the wrong shoes and that I’d be called when the correct pair arrived. A total waste of time. I’m definitely not going there again. I’m also wondering whether the gait analysis was any good because the staff seem quite clueless to me.

Always friendly and helpful, they always go above and beyond! I don't go anywhere else to buy shoes now, the staff are such experts and their gait analysis is such an amazing service. So many shoes that I would expect to be the same based on the 'spec sheet', but the staff have the experience to know the subtleties about how each show behaves and supports the runner. Cannot reccomend enough

Surprised to see some of the reviews on here, as I had brilliant service at the Victoria store. 40-minute appointment to purchase running shoes: discussed requirements; tested shoe size; observed me running to check gait; tried different shoes including running outside; felt under no obligation. Very helpful member of staff. Now having purchased a pair of shoes I'm allowed a 10 minute pavement run to check they're okay, or return. What's there not to like!

The worst retail experience I ever had!! It's just ironic that I delivered for years customer service training...
I called the shop and double checked if they have the treadmill kind of technology where the way I run can be analyzed and I can see it as well. I specifically said that I don't mean me running outside on the street etc.
I was told, yes sure we have the treadmill. I asked and double checked, you do? Really? In store? Yes we do- was the answer.
I was so excited!
When I went there a very kind lady said we don't have that... no, but you can run outside and we will have a look at it and recommend you the right pair of shoes.
Then I was handed over to the rudest person I ever encountered in retail! She said: so basically, we only spend time with you and you can try the shoes if you buy them. - I kid you not! This is what was said to me!! She also denied that anyone could have told me that they had the treadmill etc.
It was so upsetting, it's untrue!! How can I guarantee that I will buy a pair??!! It's a joke! I never ever recommend the shop to anyone, that's for sure!

Bought 2 pairs of shoes online here recently. First arrived quickly but didn't fit so returned - free, quick, very speedy refund. Second pair again arrived quickly. Good communication about order status. Would happily order from here again.

First order - not good experience.

Firstly the website said Paynent error Try Again. So I did and now paid twice and despite being told one order cancelled NO CREDIT received.

Now item received shoes don’t fit - have emailed re exchange BUT NO REPLY

Will buy elsewhere next time

I just had the worst retail experience of my life in your London shop and I am 55 years old. I made an appointment for the gait analysis for myself and my 13 year old son. I specifically said that if it wasn't possible to do more than one person on one appointment that I would like to get shoes for my son. The assistant started the consultation by saying it wasn't possible to serve more than one customer. I said that I had allowed for that in my email but hadn't had a reply but that in that case I would just like shoes for my son. Begrudgingly she seemed to accept this. She asked what shoes size he is. I don't know what shoe size he is. We had cut out the labels on the shoes he was wearing because they had chafed and given blisters. I said I had hoped to discover the right shoe size for him, given that this was a shoe shop that prided itself on finding the right shoes for customers, something that the layman might have assumed included shoes that fit correctly. She said that wasn't possible and we had to leave.
I understand everyone is busy after lockdown and it was a 16.40 appointment after no doubt a busy day, but that is no way to treat customers. It's no way to treat anybody. I wanted to support a local business but never again

Excellent advice from Adrian. Ordered on a Friday and free delivery on the Monday after. Wow. Cheaper than elsewhere online for a pair of Altra,s.

Super helpful staff, took time to help me get the right running shoes shoes. Personal service. Good selection of kit, too.

Last year I visited their Victoria (London) store to purchase a new pair of runners. Knowledgeable staff who care about the customers and products. I was able to test out a few pairs of shoes running up and down the side alley next to the store (better than on a treadmill). Very happy with the runners I bought.
This year I have purchased running socks and a Garmin watch from them online, both occasions the products were delivered quickly. A professional outfit that I will continue to go to for my running needs :-)

Caitlin in the Cardiff branch is super helpful and I only go there for her. Nothing is too much trouble and she always puts a smile on my face - even when she tells me I need the widest trainers available:-)

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff.
Unfortunately i didn't take the name of lady who helped me on the day (15/08/20), but she was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, being new to running she gave me advice and insight of great value and she made everything was a very pleasant experience.

My partner and I got our gaits analysed online and it was brilliant! Really easy and efficient - Laura who we both spoke to on the phone was really helpful.
The trainers my partner wanted weren't in stock so we also spoke to Kelly in the Cardiff store who was an absolute star!! Honestly can't sing her praises highly enough - she let us know when they were back in stock, advised on size and made the whole process super easy. She was also a super positive and friendly person to speak to. Thank you for everything you did for us Kelly!

Went to Run & Become for the first time for trainer fitting. Michelle who helped me pick my shoes was really helpful and understood what I needed from my trainers. I was able to try them out outside (all their testing/gait analysis is actually done outside instead of on a treadmill). They are really mindful of social distancing and being Covid secure. I will definitely go back there.

I get most of my trainers from here, really good service and returns were easier than i thought, as i bought a size too small in a new make and they were really helpful.

I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else if I can help it. I'm new to running and found the staff incredibly helpful and they made me feel right at ease. They spent a lot of time with me without rushing and suggested about 7 pairs of shoes so I could find the best fit. Recommended 100%.
