Went last Saturday 26th August. Staff had zero interest in helping and advising, they were busy trying shoes on for themselves.
I did my own research on the Internet and asked to try on a pair of Hoka trainers. The pair I was given to try on was very dirty, with marks and scuffs and even the laces were dirty, I wish I had taken a picture. No intention of going back to this shop. My husband had the opposite experience a few years ago.

I did the Gait Analysis in the Maidstone branch of Runners Need. I'm not currently a runner and Charlie who helped me was really sensitive to me not being very confident. I came away with a great recommendation for a pair of trainers. Highly recommend this service for any ability of runner.

Runners Need used to be my go to store, but not any more - even though I periodically check their website/shops, and find in store staff to be helpful.
They have 3 persistent issues for me.
1) They have a very limited selection of shoes in my size.
2) They just don’t carry some popular shoe lines - last year it was the Rebel V4, this year it’s the Velocity Nitro 4.
3) The selection of colourways is also limited, often the less appealing options.
I spent 10 months last year trying to spend a Runners Need gift card, and really struggled as they just didn’t have what I needed.
I really do wish things would improve, as I would like to support this business.

My mum needed a pair of shoes, recommended by her podiatry. Matt went above and beyond to find her the appropriate pair.

Now, 10 days after my order, I still have no shoes, neither a refund. Below’s reply from Runners Need was never followed up.

I ordered a new pair of New Balance trainers on Tuesday 8th July for next day delivery. The following day I had a message from Evri saying they were unable to deliver and would try again on Thursday, the same message appeared on Thursday, this has then not updated since. I contacted Runners Need for an update on the 11th July. They said I had to wait until the following week for them to do anything. In the meantime I contacted Evri myself who were quicker and more helpful with their replies. Ultimately Evri told me on the 17th the parcel had been lost, but Runners Need still needed extra time to confirm with the currier. They have now stopped responding to my messages and I am left with no choice but to file a charge back with my bank.

The pain was getting worse and worse, training 7 plus times a week was taking its toll on my ankles.
I thought hitting 45 had halted my progression and I was to take my place at the back of the crowd limping along.
That was until my friend Lucy told me to get a "Gate" analysis at Runners Need in Clapham Junction, and boy am I glad I did.
The expert salesman put me on the treadmill and filmed the run.
He then pointed out the issues and recommended what style and type of trainers would be best suited for my type of training.
I went with the Hoka Challenger 8 Trail Trainers.
My God it's like running on a Cloud.
Im getting back to my former glory and can't wait for my next session, thank you Lucy and Runners Need for all the help 😍😍😍😍

Superb experience buying my first pair of running shoes. I went for the gait analysis and it was well worth going into stores. I tried 8 pairs some multiple times until I was happy. I was not rushed and the sales person Ally really new the products and helped me narrow down my options. Despite it being busy I wasn't rushed or pressured to buy. Took my new shoes out today and loved them. Thoroughly recommend going to store. Harrogate Runners Need.

Had a gait analysis done and was recommended specific shoes to reduce the risk of injury. These shoes then *caused* a persistent knee injury. I tried to return the shoes but was told that this was not possible since I had worn them.
This feels like an absolute scam; I spend £180 in total, in order to get access to an "expert" opinion and reduce the risk of injury, only to end up with a far worse pair of shoes than I already had which leaves me limping every time I try to run more than 1k. No compensation for the shoes, so a complete waste of money. Avoid this company at all costs.
Edit: Just a note that despite contacting the company, both directly and via the method described in their response, no reparations were made. It's almost 5 months later and I'm still recovering from the injury.

Delivery never arrived. I ordered a new pair of racers expecting them on Tuesday. It's now Friday and there's been no movement from Evri. I decided I'd rather get the refund than spend my life checking Evri to see if they left the depot. If you advertise next day delivery, choose a more reliable courier. They did process the refund though it was out of my account for a long time and also attached a voucher to my account. Needless to say I won't be using the voucher online.

I ordered a pair of speedgoats and DHL sent a 5+2 set of draws, got in touch with Sam and raised a formal complaint. This never got actioned and I am still awaiting a refund as this has been nearly a month. All Sam does is lie about them being sent, and does not respond to any emails.
Cameron was the final person i delt with who orginised the refund straight away.
I wish I went directly to HOKA,

Booked appointment at Bluewater store and really impressed with the help from Charlotte. I had my feet measured and Charlotte was patient and informative when explaining her recommendations. I came away with 2 pairs of different trainers that are proving a great purchase. I really did appreciate the time and care that Charlotte took to help me find such comfortable trainers. Thanks Fiona Dunn

I didn’t want to leave a negative review, but I feel I’ve been left with no other option. I’ve been trying to contact your customer service all week with no response. My order was placed two weeks ago, and the parcel has been lost by the courier. It was intended for a specific event, which has now passed, making the situation even more disappointing.
At the very least, I would expect some form of communication from your team to update me on the status, along with an offer of a refund or replacement to resolve the issue. So far, I’ve received neither. This has been a very frustrating experience. Still don't know how am I going to get my money back...

Excellent service at the Liverpool Cotswold Outdoor shop. From my first contact with Becky and my running gait analysis with Phoebe today, it has been a pleasant experience.
Both were really interested in helping me with my running needs and finding the right pair of trainers for me. The whole experience was brilliant. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves running and needs friendly, expert advice.

I have a number of foot problems and felt that a previously recently bought training shoes which I bought in a hurry just weren’t working for me. This time I booked a fitting appointment and the Leeds store assistant Rebecca was excellent in all respects. My feet were remeasured professionally and I found out my feet have got bigger with age, all my measuring data was supplied to me on a summary sheet. Following that Rebecca who was easy to talk things through with, combined her patience and knowledge to explore options with me, and this resulted in a really good outcome for me in terms of much more comfortable feet. Fantastic service!

Waste of time trying to chat online with Tara who just said hello and then didn’t repond or reply back!! Really unprofessional and not helpful at all. Returns and refunds are a joke as they take so long to process 3 weeks and I’m still waiting. Would not recommend this store to anyone

I was looking for shoes with spikes for track and field usage (long jump, 400/800/1500m running). Given their name I assumed them to be a great to be a starting point, only to learn that they don't sell spike shoes at all! However, they do sell spare spikes!

Loved that store! Staff knew exactly what shoes I needed. Been running comfortably since
