Will never buy from them again
I bought 2 portable air con units from Ryness. The first one was bought back in April 2020 and the entire transaction went smoothly. Best price for this model unit and it was delivered 2 days later. Was exactly as described. Only issue was the remote control stopped working after a day but Ryness was great at getting a new one delivered to me a few days later.
So why the bad score, well let me tell you about the worst retail experience I have ever had. I ordered a second identical unit a month later for my mother. It was delivered on time but the issue was that they delivered the wrong model. They delivered an older version of the model that was larger, had a less efficient refrigerant and no WiFi function. Not at all like what I had previously got or what was on the website so I called them up to return it. This is where the problems started.
They hesitated to get the unit returned, it took a few phone calls and a couple of emails and 5 days before they would actually arrange for a courier to collect. Then they sent the courier to my billing address instead of delivery address. Right, so more phone calls and emails later and another 5 days before they courier actually collected the unit. So 10 days passed and they had my money and we had no unit. So now there was another period of about a week and 5 phones calls and 6 more emails before I am finally told that management didn't want to get stock in of the newer model as it was more expensive than the model they had sent to me. In the meantime they were still selling the new model on the website (with 1 day delivery) but they had pushed the price up to match what other sellers online were selling it at.
So no matter what I did I could not get them to send the correct model to me at the price I paid. They insisted they didn't have stock when clearly they did as they were selling it as in stock on their website with 1 day delivery. So in the end I had had enough and I demanded a refund from them which of course involved more emails and phone calls before I could get my money back.
So for all my efforts in wasted time over 3 weeks and too much stress I had nothing to show for it. I was lied to, ignored and messed around to a level I have never experienced with any other retailer in 25 years. I will never buy from them again and hopefully this review will make you think twice before you do to. I only had to give them and extra star as the first buying experience was decent so have to be fair there.
