Absolutely do not buy Ryobi

Absolutely do not ever buy a product from this company! I purchased an edger from the expand it range… the product was barely out of warranty and failed, a small part is required… contact them for replacement part (fully intending to pay) and they tell me the part is no longer available and they are sorry for any inconvenience…. So now I’m up for another $160. …. Absolutely SHIT service

Ryobi Special deals a scam

After being a loyal Ryobi customer with over 55 tools I fell prey to one of their email "Special offers". The conditions of this offer was that to become eligible for the offer you had to buy one of the tools listed.
I checked the tool list and purchased "18v One + cordless hammer drill tool only". However in the fine print, low lighted in grey, the number of the tool that I bought was RPD18X. The tool that was eligible was listed as above only in the grey low light it was RPD18C, so the deal was not honoured. if you bother to look at these two products on line you will see that images of the actual tools look exactly the same except for this number. This deal was obviously set up to mislead. If you like their tools, that's fine but be aware if you are interested in any unsolicited offers, you will need to give them a great deal of scrutiny as they are deliberately misleading.

Had one of these for about six months

I had one of these for about six months. It worked reasonably well, but, Dear God, the noise was like standing next to a jet engine.
I had to flog it off on Gumtree and bought a Dyson V8. Way better choice.
I simply can't believe that the dudes designing these things are so brain dead that they just ignore the regrettable "screaming" of this contraption!!!
