Great cut

Friendly, quiet, interesting conversation and a great haircut from Simon. It was slightly nerve racking as I've been going to the same salon for close to 20 years and a change is always risky. It was a risk worth taking. My partner said: it's kind of within your baseline - which is a pretty good complement from him.

Great products

Great products!
Products were received 3 weeks after order, with an apology from Saco about a mix up with the order which led to a delay.

I’ve tried a few salons in London over…

I’ve tried a few salons in London over the last year or so as feel like my stylist and I have got into a bit of a rut. Also everyone seems to want to dye my brunette hair blonde! So after a bit of homework I booked in with Richard for a cut and blow dry.
I have to say from start to finish it was the most relaxing unpretentious salon I have ever been to. Salons always seem to be busy and bustling with lots of darlings floating about but this was anything but and I loved it! I’ve had the best haircut I’ve had in years, with products that made my hair feel shiny and soft. I’ve now booked in for a colour in a few weeks and can honestly say I’m really looking forward to going back, usually the thought of sitting in a salon chair for a few hours does nothing for me! Don’t overlook this wonderful little find - it’s amazing!!

Saco is my safe space.

Saco is my safe space.
I have been going to Saco since the end of 2021. I did two radical changes to my hair at Saco, from long to very short and to dark brown to light blonde. Every time I was in good hands.
I could not imagine someone else could cut my hair better then Simon, who already knows my hair and makes me happy each time I go there. Lanza made his best to make me happy with the colour and the tone and he didn't let me leave without me being satisfied. I am gratful.
At Saco I feel cared. From the booking to the end experience.

Saco Hair: a salon you can trust

Saco Hair, Charlotte Place, was the first place I visited when lockdown was lifted. It is an excellent salon, which you can trust to give you the hairstyle you want. My stylist, Keast, works wonders on my fine, flyaway hair: people always ask me where I get it cut.
All the staff are friendly, professional and caring. The salon has always promoted ‘green’ issues and makes an active response to reduce plastic, recycle.
I love, love, love this place.

Great salon

Great salon, fantastic stylist who gave me just the cut I wanted, friendly and relaxed environment and reasonably priced. It's certainly my new salon for the long-term.

Cut my long blonde hair into a mullet- please read up about this company before going there- there are heaps of bad reviews on the internet

I had a terrible experience as a hair model at SACO.
I was approached by a lovely lady called April in the street and asked if I would like to model. I could see why she asked me, I had platinum blonde hair with terrible dark roots. Whilst she was very friendly and explained to me that a student would cut my hair, she didn't mention that they would speak another language. When I realised this on arrival at the salon I did not immediately see this to be problematic as Brett who seemed to be in charge of the students would be directing the student.
The salon itself was clean, looked professional and had two floors- all filled with other girls who were there for students to practice on. I would guess around 10-18 in total over the two rooms.
Brett asked me what haircut I was after - I said that I was up for something new but wanted to keep the length because I was growing it. He seemed to acknowledge this, and he mentioned a fringe and "layers", which sounded fine to me.
A Scottish girl (didn't catch her name) started bleaching my roots to speed things up so the student Anna could colour and cut. When Anna washed the bleach off my hair she poured heaps of water down my back somehow- at the time I didn't care but perhaps in hindsight that was actually the first indiction of the level of training the students have.
Anna started colouring my hair, two shades of grey which is actually lovely but has nearly all washed out now. When she was applying the tint she applied it by brushing down my neck- an unusual technique. My also got a fair bit on my face which, again, didn't bother me at all time.
Once the tint had been washed off it was time for the cut. Brett and a translator came over and sectioned off my hair according to how it would be cut. 3 sections- one for fringe, one for layers, one for length. When Brett suggested that the layers start about two inches from the top of my head I was apprehensive, but decided to trust that he knew what he was doing. BIG MISTAKE! My student began cutting very short layers starting at the crown and around the whole middle of my head. I could see that it was not going well but at this stage it was too late. Brett came along to check it and actually ended up cutting it all a whole lot shorter. Whilst I couldn't understand what Anna was saying she seemed to be displeased with her work and also kept saying over and over again "fino, fino" which I understood to mean thin, or fine with regards to my hair. She said it so often that I felt upset and uncomfortable. Then came the fringe, which turned out to be a full, very heavy fringe- probably about half of my hair went into this fringe! It's not looking great- and the fringe is so long that I can barely see. I would've pointed that out but could not bare another snip to my head. At this point I am close to tears and just want it all to be over. The last third of my hair is mercifully trimmed to just past my shoulders with no major occurrence. It does however, look absolutely ridiculous with the remaining two thirds of my hair roughly between 2-4 inches from my head.
I believe this haircut is called a mullet. When I arrived at SACO, a mullet was not within the spectrum of haircuts that I imagined getting.
Genuinely the worst haircut I have ever had. The whole experience was awful and it will take months for this shoddy haircut to grow out.
I did email this review to SACO before posting. I have not heard from them.
