Safeguard are my EOR and only have to provide financial based support to me (salary and expenses), all other daily tasks are managed by the company I work for (their client). Since working under this relationship, Safeguard have made consistent errors with tax reporting, leading to a significant shortfall and financial impact for me, Safeguard have also had system issues that resulted in my expenses being deleted (again financial impact to me). My biggest issue is that whenever I try to resolve an issue, Safeguard offer little to no support, the team are dismissive, take no ownership and have little regard for the employees they should be supporting, in taxation issue case, even when I resolved the issue with HMRC, Safeguard failed to act on updated data.

For a company that offers HR solutions, their support for employees is extremely poor, if you value the people that work for you, provide them with a better EOR than Safeguard.

Safeguard Global has been my EOR for the past 18 months and I have been having issues with them almost every month. From withholding pay without clear communication to just downright lies, I am happy that in 1.5 months I will never have to deal with them again.
Asking for a straight up answer is never possible and whenever the discussion gets a little too complicated for them, they just pass it on to the next Account Manager and you can start all over again. A company who handles your pay should be transparent and easy to communicate with and Safeguard is everything but.
I will never recommend Safeguard.

End to end service delivery support, from onboarding to day to day management. Good systems supporting real people who know what they are doing and engage as an extension of our HR team.

We used Safeguard Global to pay an employee in Germany. The onboarding was not very straightforward but we got there in the end. Whilst the process was in place, everything went smoothly.
At the end though, the offboarding was a right mess with conflicting emails from different departments, for instance they forgot to tell us about some dues for the 13th month which is a basic requirement there, could not send us a statement of accounts, etc.
It all concluded as a terrible experience with Safeguard, with a clear feeling they have a disconnected organisation, a total lack of customer centricity and a really heavy handed approach to customer service.
Really poor.

I find it very hard being paid by this business. Their timeliness and expense remittance is very one sided where I have to wait up to 2 months for payment of expenses when my company pays it weekly.
I would not reccoemnd this business as they have no interest in helping their payees.

I’d highly recommend Safeguard Global to any company looking to recruit and hire overseas. It’s been three months since we hired 5 employees in three countries with Safeguard Global. As Director of HR, onboarding is an important part of employee retention. I’m pleased to hear that our new employees have access to a local team in their own time zone and who speak their own language.
