One of the worst airline I have ever…
One of the worst airline I have ever see after westjet. Request everyone if you want to avoid any disruption or any delay or paying extra money then would request you don’t buy ticket from here. I was going from Jeddah to mascat and for the luggage they charge me 169 riyal.
Worst airline ever
Worst airline ever. You have to pay for food and it's as cold as ice and the flight is never on time.
Scam company
Scam company. They don't reproduction you if you miss your connection and no airline staff around in the airport. Avoid Salam air, rude and aggressive. Doesn't look even an airline in a Muslim country!
I didn't even fly them
I didn't even fly them. They simply cancelled the flight. That caused me a lot of pain on the connections. In the end it might be better to avoid this one.
They are totally scammers
They are totally scammers. They try to scam you from counter check-in to water bottle. Pathetic staff. Highly not recommended.
Worst baggage rules
When travelled by SalamAir, from Jiddah airport , the baggage rule is 30kg main + 5 kg cabin luggage is allowed, but, forced to make 30kg as single item and suggested to use wrapping machine, which is 50 SAR (about price of back pack). I paid 100 SAR for wrapping of baggage for my family.
I could not understand the logic behind it, because the load on the aircraft does not effect with one or two items.
After wrapping of luggage, it is very difficult to handle them, since the handles are not accessible.
More over the baggage is damaged, which shows rough handling during loading and unloading. It is very difficult to identify the luggage on airport conveyor.
Now, after spending the money for wrapping, got damaged suitcases and other problems, I felt, SalamAir is not economical and head-ache. I never recommend SalamAir to anyone in future with my experience.
Charged 200 riyals for bags
Charged 200 riyals for bags. Once you check in you cannot make any changes and have to pay a per kilo rate at the airport.
I think that I was robbed by SalamAir…
I think that I was robbed by SalamAir employees at Masirah Island airport. Story: I was flying Muscat - Masirah. I had sports equipment for which I paid 30 Omani reais. When I was flying Masirah - Muscat, the airport employees charged me more than $400 for my luggage. Arguing that I should pay for my luggage by the kilogram. And they charged me several times for the same item. The flight was on 5.07.25. One of the airport employees was extremely aggressive, who later checked passports before the security check. He said that they didn’t charge me when I was flying Muscat - Masirah because of the mafia. I don’t know what’s in this person’s head. I am attaching all the evidence. And I ask you to look into the robbery.
continuation of the story: for three days in a row, the call center employees from Salamair tormented me on the phone. They seemed to say that they would refund the money! For three days, our conversation boiled down to the following: call center: "tell me the code that you received from the bank" me: "such and such a code" employee: "it didn't go through. tell me the code that you received from the bank" me: "such and such a code" employee: "it didn't go through, tell me the code..." and so on for an hour, every day for three days. They said that I had a problem with my bank card, but I tried THREE DIFFERENT BANK CARDS: Turkish, Oman and Kazakhstani, issued to different people! In the end, they said that a transfer via wise was needed, and they disappeared...
And right now they block me in Facebook!

Better to run bus service not plane even bus service will be better than this airlines
I was on the flight from Muscat to…
I was on the flight from Muscat to Istanbul flight OV825, I entered the boarding hall, I requested to leave the hall to buy water, staff refused to allow me to leave even tho there was still 40min to the flight.
I waited 40min feeling thirsty and to make matters worse the flight was already a hour late.
Terrible experience
I had a terrible experience with this airline. I purchased a direct flight from Seronera to Zanzibar, which was quite expensive.
A few days before departure, I was informed via email that the flight would no longer be direct and would now include a stopover.
During the stopover, there was total disorganization: we were forced to leave the plane with our luggage, go through security again, and re-board the same aircraft — something I had never seen before and found utterly unacceptable.
I contacted customer service asking for clarification and compensation, but they never replied.
A terrible service for an absurd price. I would not recommend this airline to anyone.
Worst airline in the world
Worst airline in the world. They just cancel the flight and moreover the customer care number provided is not at all working. We called from KSA by spending money and no response from this airline. Such airlines should be immediately closed by CAA Oman.
SCAM!
SCAM!! STAY AWAY. Absolutely awful. We are on Kenya on holiday and they have cancelled our flight 2 days before we are supposed to leave to go to Thailand. We only found out by checking the app. They didn’t even email us. We’ve spent 20 minutes on the phone (which they charge for) to someone who kept trying to give us a voucher and left us on hold only to tell us we have to wait and apply for a refund and may not get it any time soon. They tried to give us a voucher to rebook but there are no available flights to even rebook so it’s a complete scam. DO NOT BOOK THIS AIRLINE.
PNR:YG5T9Q

Ticket delay
My payment was issued and the money substracted from my account, but then the system froze so I didn't get any booking reference or flight ticket. Tried to contact thier "24/7" call center but I ended up wasting 1 hour on hold without talking to anyone.
Update:
I called the support again in the morning and they responded this time, they told me I would receive my ticket later that day, and I did. I am still a bit disappointed about the earlier delay in support.
I booked a ticket on the Bombay-Doha…
I booked a ticket on the Bombay-Doha route and had to cancel it within 24 hours due to some technical reasons. When I cancelled the ticket booked for Rs. 18500, I got a voucher of Rs. 1000. I have booked tickets of many airlines and sometimes had to cancel them. No one has charged more than 20% cancellation fee. Money is credited back within one week. Instead of money, they give vouchers, which is about 5% of the ticket price. Even worse, that 5% was too much. Please think not once but at least three times while booking Salam Air. Aftersale customer service is a dream.
Worst employee in chick in cabin via…
Worst employee in chick in cabin via muscat. What a attitude dumbs u have kept employee in oman. It's like don't ask any doubt twice the tone they speak with people worst ever. It's like threatening. Its really dangerous they are.I dnt take further...it's nightmare for me in Two days in airport worst. Never ever try.
Salam Air rude Staffto
My Name is Suhail Ahmed, I travelled several times in Salam Air. I never had any comments regarding thr service level. On 23rd of Jan'25, I booked a ticket from Doha to Colombo via Muscat. That day I had a minor infection. When I boa rd from Doha to muscat, I felt bit uncomfortable, requested to a cabin crew member to use the washroom, they allowed me to use it without any hesitation.
The same issue I have faced when I entered in the aircraft, fromMuscat to Colombo. I requested to a cabin crew member she was bit rude, told me that, still no water and to wait for sometimes. Which is a joke that should have been told to a child. Lately I came to know, she's the cabin supervisor and her her name is Kadeeja. I patiently waited for sometimes, she didn't notify me anything i was so uncomfortable. I approached a crew member, she was very politely told me to use it. When tried to enter the washroom, i was again forcefully stopped by the cabin crew supervisor and she told me in a very loud tone that she already told me to not come now. I politely told her that, I approached your crew member and she guided me to use it. She's was very upset and told me that she's the supervisor and no one can allow to do so. It was so embarrassing to face her infront of all the passengers and she doesn't know even ABC of customer service, and she should be rehabilitated. I have noticed, that she kept that washroom closed until she entered. Based on my observations during my flights, the qualities she have mostly matches to be a zoo keeper not a cabin supervisor. I wonder how a person with this kind of attitude could have promoted to lead a cabin, absolutely nonsense. I strongly express my deeper disappointment and I won't book my return flight to Doha or not recommend Salam air to someone. Based on the mood I had that day, I should1hav e spoken to captainand I didn't want to ruin their mood for an uncivilised individual.
