Most Unfriendly Greeter

My husband, service dog, and I visited the Sam’s Club in Pooler, GA on Saturday afternoon May 30, 2026. Betty, the greeter at the front entrance was most unfriendly. No greeting, no smile, just looked at us in a disgusting manner. I think Betty requires some customer service training or take her off the front entrance.

The first few times my daughter and I…

The first few times my daughter and I were really happy with our experience. I am 65 yrs. and handicapped my daughter orders what we need each month to be delivered. I ordered dog food yesterday, this morning I am texted my dog food is on the way, in fact it still says my order is just behind schedule. When infact when the dog food was being delivered, they could not enter because of our gate code, our gate code is included in the driver instructions. Dog food was returned and we were told it would have to be refunded ( 5 to 7 days ), then repurchased to be delivered again. I am paid once a month, dogs have no food now, and they have to wait because driver can't read the instructions. This is very unprofessional.

I want to thank Sue Mateo in Sam's Club #6567 (Easton, PA) for her bubbly and friendly personality, she always seems to be around when I need any kind of assistance and she does it with a smile! Sue is kind and sweet, while always professional, and a definite asset to the store.

WARNING::

WARNING::: I bought a box of Hostess danish at the Longmont store 2 days ago. The danish tasted like mold. Looked at the BEST BUY DATE MAY 18 2026 THAT WAS 10 DAYS AGO!!!! I tried to call Longmont Sam's Club but there is no Store Manager on Thursday. The girl didn't know if the manager works tomorrow or not, she doesn't have access to their schedule. The only manager today is a front end manager. No store manager!!!! No wonder they have expired products for sale. SAMS CLUB MUST BE PAYING THE MANAGER TO WORK FROM HOME.

No water

They removed all water from the cafe area. So if you are a diabetic or a mom that doesn’t give her children soda bring your own water. They do not have a water button on the soda machines. NO WATER!!

Sam’s Club Corporate: “We Hate Our Customers"

Sam’s Club Stores share the same customer service, largely foreign based, with Walmart.

The fact that one pays for a membership does not mean one can expect better service.

I recently had reason to contact their corporate customer service team by phone, waiting almost an hour to reach someone in the US after being shuffled around and asked numerous times to give my name and email. When I finally did reach a member of their US “executive team", he reviewed a policy that I had a complaint about and refused to make the situation right.

The issue involved an inquiry to return WiFi router that was purchased more than 90 days previously, yet still under a year, for which I did not have the option to wait on exceedingly slow warranty replacement.

Despite having the receipt and complete factory packaging, they refused to allow me to obtain a merchandise credit to put toward a replacement.

Working WiFi is a necessity in my area because I live in an area with only one bar in cell signal so I DEPEND on WiFi calling! My spouse relies on WiFi for video conferences and can’t afford to have it broken for a month+ while the manufacturer slow walks a warranty replacement. (Delays caused by the fact that the manufacturer erroneously attempted to charge shipping to return the existing unit, which is illegal for warranty repairs in my State, and also demanded an account with a third party to process a zero-dollar return shipping label as a means to access a payment method. They were unable to simply email/mail a return label without the third-party website, which in turn wasn’t possible because that website had locked up years earlier due to a security breach — reason I didn’t want to be forced to deal with the third party in the first place because they had put household banking data at risk in the past!)

I wish I could say this was the only issue but it isn’t. Sam’s Club has also created obstacles with respect to their pharmacy. I deal with a medical office that is unable to send prescriptions in electronically, only by paper. Meanwhile, Sam’s Club pharmacy says they are no longer equipped for faxes. So here I am in a State with gasoline that is over $6 per gallon, more than 20 miles from the nearest Sam’s Club location, and I have to deliver a pet prescription that Sam’s Club can’t otherwise receive. That wouldn’t be so bad but prescriptions are typically OUT OF STOCK — no same-day pickup. This is true not only for pharmacy but food items. Staples like chicken are routinely wiped out. Therefore if I obtain a paper Rx, I have to turn it in one day and DRIVE BACK another day because they don’t have the med on hand. Then while I’m in the store shopping for basic food items on a return visit to pick up the Rx, items are out of stock which means MORE DRIVING to finish my shopping elsewhere!

Contrast the above experience with Costco. Three years ago I bought a mini-split (heating/cooling) unit for my home. After installation it failed to work. I went through troubleshooting with the manufacturer and they sent me another part, but it did not correct the issue. A year later, fed up, I contacted Costco and asked if I could return this lemon of a mini-split since I had been by then dealing with warranty issues for as long as I had owned the unit. Costco immediately agreed to take back $2,000 worth of equipment, even though I could not repack it in the original box!

Upon sharing that I experienced better customer service at Costco, all I get is: “What is a mini split?”

Whomever I spoke to sounded the part of someone based in the US but beyond that was completely uninterested in helping. He YAWNED loudly during the call, confirmed he could see my receipt, listened as I explained our circumstances (unable to forego working WiFi as it is a utility not a luxury), and described a 3 week effort to obtain a replacement. He flatly says that there is nothing he will do, not even a merchandise credit to buy the current version of the product — identical manufacturer — online or in store.

His “solution” was to suggest we buy a new unit and return it once I received a warranty swap. But as anybody who has set up a router with access points understands it is a PITA. Besides who wants to “borrow” something and return it? (This sounded far less legit than my inquiry about a “courtesy return” with a credit I could apply toward an in-stock replacement at the store!)

When I complained that I waited almost an hour to speak with him and expected someone empowered to help, he simply repeated there was nothing he could do.

I told him our membership had just renewed, members for 20+ years and that a negative experience may result in cancelling that membership. He made no apology for the inconvenience.

There is a reason why Costco is always so busy even though Sam’s Club may have slightly better prices: Costco puts customers first!

Is it my color or address

I keep getting locked out of my account, even though I have it bookmarked, and the app is downloaded on my
samsung tablet. I never log out because I am the only person in my home. So I believe it is a deliberate attempt to prevent me from ordering on my account. Customer support never is able to help me regain access, or will literally hang up on me mid call.Am I missing something.
Now they have stopped sending codes for me to get back in to my account. I just closed my account out of frustration but I still have to wait until it is renewal time, with no refund for loss of access to my account. This started about 4 months ago.

If I could give 0 I would

If I could give 0 I would. You changed prismatic evolution drop from in store to online only knowing no actual people ever get anything online for these products. I was able to get in cart then couldn’t access cart. After 20 minutes I was logged out along with thousands others and by the time I could log back in over a hour later the item was gone. Shame on Sam’s Club for screwing over loyal customers to change to online where AI bots can just buy a plus membership buy thousands of products and then get a refund right after.

Unable to checkout Pokemon UPC...

I got the plus membership. I had 2 pokemon Prismatic evolution UPC in my cart but the website would not let me checkout. This is a joke. The website said that I had too many requests trying to get into my cart and checkout. I ended up getting logged out and I still cant log back in. Its just a sad shame that I spent the time added them to my cart and was unable to purchase the items... Extremely disappointed and will not renew my membership!

AVOID THIS STORE ‼️ ‼️

04/06/26: New car battery installed.

A little less than a month and a half later, I get a dashboard warning cascade (lane departure, braking, power steering and so on). Popped the hood and discovered the battery was loose from negligent installation.

I returned to Sam's Club. I parked in front of the garage and was intercepted by a proactive tech before I could make my way inside the store. He was shown the issue, went to grab tools and came back to the parking area to tighten it down. Warnings temporarily cleared only to return on my way back home.

Because I wanted to give Sam's Club the benefit of the doubt, I took my Honda to a car audio shop, spent $60 on a diagnostic test to rule out parasitic drain from my aftermarket amp. No such thing was found. I made the decision to keep the amp physically disconnected for 36 hours and - lo and behold - warnings returned. Amp is not the problem.

I was back at Sam's Club today for a warranty replacement. A new battery was installed but warnings returned immediately upon starting the vehicle. Their initial negligent installation (loose battery for 5+ weeks) likely caused permanent damage to my vehicle's electrical system.

The absolute ape who returned my car and keys was combative and argumentative during the exchange. He claimed, in a mocking fashion, repeatedly, that the battery is not the issue. He kept talking over me and wouldn't let me get a word in, insisting that his community college education allowed him to be certain of his correctness on the matter.

Avoid this location. They don't secure batteries properly and their negligence may have destroyed my car's electronics. I have escalated the matter by bringing it to Sam's Club Corporate and will continue to escalate beyond that if and as necessary.

First time in store

First time in store. Lima Ohio. Thought I would try it out bc they offered a military discount. I was told I would get 10$ off membership fee so I paid and asked when I get discount, was told off my first transaction then was told they cant do that they will just give me a 10$ gift card then the manager came over and said they cant do that either. The military discount can only apply if you do it online. I asked if I can just get my money back that I paid just 2 minutes earlier and said they cant do that either so I asked for some scissors and cut my card up and threw it in their trash can. Horrible horrible first experience. If they want to look all patriotic and advertise military discount then not have their crap together shame on them.

Sam’s scam and horrible management

I used scan and go and was charged TWICE . TWICE the price for the one single item. The attitude of the staff, the lack of empathy, the lack of accountability was astonishing from management. Before I walked out the door the first time, I showed staff that I had paid. Showed them the email from sams and the credit card bill because their QR code didn’t show up. They required that I pay again assuring me that I would get a refund if double charged. I just needed to call if there were issues. I called and the required that I drive all the way back to the store for the refund. I should have at that point filed fraud charges with the credit card company and the police.

Lazy liars.

Customer service manager deleted my account of 20 years. I lost my purchase history (including appliances and items I send to my elderly mom's facility) as well as my Sam's cash, payment methods... everything. They refuse to make any effort to restore my account. I asked very specifically how the change they wanted to make would affect my account when I would log back in and was told it wouldn't change it in any way. He didn't care, anything to close a case.

Not a good selection on items

Not a good selection on items. Always have over 50 employees working.
Only one register open. Line be literally in Mexico. Doesn’t make any sense at all. Sometimes no register is open. Then the customer service line. Be longer than Mexico. Clearly our cash does matter. Very backwards and unprofessional. Cashier didn’t even speak. Without customers they wouldn’t. Have no job at all. Most of the employees are very friendly though. On West Broad St. location.
