Didn't receive guaranteed price !!!
I was guaranteed £171 for my car. When the scrap dealer arrived he said they would only pay £151. After many calls I could not get the full price I was promised.
I have emailed scrap car comparison but after 5 days still have not had a reply.

Collection failed and no explanation…
Collection failed and no explanation was provided.
I arranged the collection through Scrap Car Comparison three days in advance, and Coastline Scrap Metal was assigned to collect my van. I also provided a second telephone number so they could contact me on the morning of the collection to confirm the exact time.
Unfortunately, nobody arrived, and I received no call or update. I tried contacting the collection company several times by phone, left a voicemail and sent WhatsApp messages. Although the messages are now showing as read, I have still received no reply or explanation.
There may have been a technical or communication problem, but the complete lack of contact left me waiting all day and caused considerable stress because the van urgently needed to be removed. I eventually had to arrange another collection company myself.
The initial booking process was straightforward, but Scrap Car Comparison needs to ensure that the companies it assigns are reliable and that customers receive proper support when a collection fails.
