I have really struggled to find something to stop me, a grown adult with eczema, from scratching at night like some kind of feral animal. It is always in a really difficult to reach area of my back, but I wasn't even aware of it until the morning. I tried keeping my nails short, bamboo gloves (seams uncomfortable, not durable) and cotton gloves (too hot, too rough). I had a tendency to pull off the gloves unknowingly. And I feel that having to replace these gloves often is not good for the environment.

I had looked at similar products to Scratch Sleeves but they are all too expensive, so only a last resort.

Scratch sleeves have honestly been really good. Not too expensive, a couple of different options for adults and it's clear they really thought of every aspect. Of course they mainly sell children's clothing because they tend to have more issues with scratching, but I am really grateful they sell adult's clothing too. It would be great if they could maybe introduce adult sizes of the pyjama trousers. And some long sleeve t-shirts more suited to day time would be nice - like the pyjama tops with holes for your arms. Or even detachable mittens?

Pyjama top - super soft material with just the right thickness for cold weather. A reasonably fashionable style that doesn't look too different to normal pyjamas. The mittens come up small, which was noted on their website, but so far it hasn't been an issue because I already have small hands. I don't know if bigger sizes have bigger mittens? They are double layered to prevent damage to your skin, they aren't too hot and you can still use electronic screens. There is a perfect degree of sensation as well, so you can do almost anything you might need to at night. I tuck the mittens inside in the morning to keep them out of the way until I get dressed. The arm holes are practical whilst not making it too easy to wriggle out of to scratch. I'm a woman and following their size chart I got a good fit. Although if you're a woman with larger breasts, I'm not sure how good the fit would be. The neck is very loose so no irritating your face. The seams are thoughtfully designed to minimise irritation. The label is on the outside. The only thing that could be improved is I find the grey marl material feels a bit rough compared to the white, not enough to be an issue but it doesn't feel as nice inside the mittens.

Supersensitive - the material is thinner and even more breathable, so more suited for warmer weather. Or wearing over long sleeves, which works well in cold weather. This product is definitely not so fashionable but it doesn't look ridiculous and it works well. Mittens are a little bigger, I guess the size they are supposed to be. This is definitely a bit more comfortable. Size guide was again accurate. This product is comfortable to wear but a bit challenging to get on and off. I understand this style was more designed for parents to put on their children without them being able to pull it off in the night. But I wonder if the shape could be changed a little to make it easier for the (adult) wearer to get on and off?

Both items do seem well made and I'm hoping they will last a while.

I'm really happy that they sent my items out quickly and that I didn't need to pay for delivery. It takes some of the stress away from managing my skin condition. I would never expect any small business to send things quickly because I know that can be really difficult, but it is much appreciated.

I can highly recommend this business. Their website has all the information you need and they've even added some general information for managing skin conditions in children. I can tell they really do care about their customers, every aspect has been considered, even down to the thread ends, and they have accessible pricing. I'll definitely be buying from this business again when I need more, and would happily recommend to anyone who struggles with scratching or skin picking.

I purchased Scratch Sleeves in November, and they’ve been the BEST purchase for my 20-month-old daughter. I don’t often write reviews, but these definitely deserve one. There’s plenty of room for her to grow into them, which is fantastic. She can’t take them off herself, and since we started using them over her sleepsuits, she has been sleeping through the night every single night. This is such a relief because, before, she was waking herself up by scratching. I’ve never been able to keep anything on her hands until now. I would highly recommend these to any parent with a child suffering from eczema or scratching their skin. Honestly, 10/10!

These sleeves have been a lifesaver for my itchy bub! The silky mitts don’t allow him to absentmindedly scratch himself raw whilst he sleeps. We used them from 3 months all the way until bub was 2! Highly, highly recommend!!!

From the helpful, kind and supportive website blogs to the wonderfully soft, easy to use and clean scratch mitts - scratch sleeves has been our saviour the last six months of coping with an upset and itchy eczema baby. I recommend them to anyone in a similar position and have been able to hand down our pyjamas and cross overs, despite daily heavy use, and being covered in all of the thick creams, they’ve washed wonderfully and are very tough for such soft and comfy clothing. It’s pretty much my daughters daily outfit and we’re big fans. I also can’t put in to words the support I felt reading the blogs as a very sleep deprived desperate mum in the middle of the night, trying to soothe my itchy baby. They wrote from such a kind place of being there and it was so helpful, particularly when lots of getting support can feel a bit of a battle! I found this company while looking for a closed sleeve PJ top for my little one who scratches at night. I love the silk which closes the hand. This has been a game changer in stopping the damage caused at night. Also, the customer service from this company is amazing, faultless!

Amazing company. If your child has eczema and scratches at night, this is a god send. It’s amazing material so it’s not itchy in the slightest. It’s lightweight so they won’t get hot at all. It’s also £12.99!!! The best price I’ve seen and the best quality I have seen too.

I bought the scratchsleeves for my 6 month old baby who struggles with eczema and kept scratching his head, making it bleed. The sleeves have helped massively and I would recommend. It gives me piece of mind that he won't give himself any more scratches. I can see us buying the PJ's for him when he is older.

I’ve ordered twice from here and both have been positive experiences. Second time I accidentally ordered the wrong size and it was dealt with as soon as I emailed them. The actual scratch sleeves are also very good. My sons eczema is doing much better as his hands are covered and he can’t scratch at night.

We have gone back to buy more from ScratchSleeves so many times! We first bought a classic pair when baby was 5 months old after desperately googling ‘mittens that stay on’, and we’ve continued to use them since. They’re life savers! We’ve got a collection at home, the classic, the hook and loop, the extended mitts (yep, cheeky baby!), and some PJs. At first we feared they may impair her ability to develop skills related to the use of her hands - no no, absolutely not: by 8 months she crawled, by 9 she stood and climbed on anything with her sleeves on, she’s now a confident and adventurous young toddler happy to put on her sleeves, no risk of scratches and overall a massive help in coping with eczema. We honestly believe she would be in so much discomfort if we hadn’t discovered ScratchSleeves, it’s evident how her personality and active nature are able to shine despite her skin condition. As parents, we couldn’t be happier!

We got the cross-over scratchsleeves for our 18 months old daughter, who had been pulling and eating her hair before falling asleep. The sleeves worked perfectly! Silk mits have become worn and now his fingers have gotten through after only 2 months of use. I wash them at 30 degrees along with other delicate clothing. This happened to all 4 I purchased.
