Not licensed to operate in Nova Scotia

Seesight is not properly licensed to provide tours in Nova Scotia. As a tour guide last September I was given a $697 ticket by the Utilities Review Board of Nova Scotia for driving a vehicle which had not been properly licensed. Other drivers also got tickets and some had their vehicles towed while they were giving tours. Passengers were stranded and risked missing their cruise ships. Seesight promised to pay these tickets but it hasn't paid mine, nor those of half a dozen others I know. Since I trusted this company and ignored the ticket I’ve been found guilty and will have to go to court to defend myself. I enjoyed my job as a tour guide, but I'll never work for Seesight again.

Disappointing Experience with See Sight Tours

I am writing this review to share my experience with See Sight Tours and at the same time formally express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with this unreliable Tour Company in Charlottetown, Canada. On August 22nd I had booked a tour named Prince Edward Island / Guided Tour with Anne Gables scheduled for August 27th. Unfortunately, my experience with See Sight Tours has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. To my dismay, I received a last-minute cancellation notice for the scheduled tour, mere hours before its commencement. This abrupt cancellation put me in a difficult situation, as I had already made travel arrangements and set aside time for this tour. In a frantic attempt to salvage my travel plans, I had no choice but to book an alternative tour at a significantly higher cost. What adds to my disappointment is the fact that, despite the cancellation, I observed a See Sight Tours van operating at the same tourist destinations originally planned for our excursion. This discrepancy has left me questioning the reliability and integrity of this company's operations. Despite my multiple attempts to obtain a satisfactory explanation through emails I sent to See Sight Tours, they consistently failed to provide a clear and concise explanation of the situation that provoked this sudden cancelation. What made this situation particularly perplexing was the presence of other vans conducting tours on the same day and at the same time, visiting the very tourist destinations initially included in the tour I had booked. If this company does not provide basic information about the root causes of the cancellation, it is impossible to consider obtaining a refund for the booking of alternative tours at a higher cost due to the inefficiency in their operations. I'm sharing this terrible experience with potential users who may want to hire the services of this company because it is not reliable, and you may face the same problems and frustrations I had on August 27th.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! On July 26th 2023 I purchased a See Sight Tour of the Anne of Green Gables (in Cavindish, PEI) for September 9th, 2023 using their vendor - Viator. During the conversation with the Viator representative, I confirmed that the tour company - See Sight Tours, offered pick up service as part of the tour and would pick me up at my campground location in Cornwall, PE. The rep confirmed that they would and added that notation to my confirmation email and listed my pick up location on my e-ticket. On the day of the tour I received an email from Viator asking me to confirm my reservation and pick up location via an online link. When I attempted to make the confirmation I received a warning message that my pick up location was outside the physical boundary of the tour operator’s pick up area. I immediately called the tour operator - See Sight Tours, who advised that they would not pick me up even though my ticket clearly stated the confirmed street address of my campground. As I have no alternative mode of transportation to get to another pick up location, I requested a full refund but was told that they would retain $50 of the $123.41 ticket price even though I had verbal confirmation and pick up instructions on my ticket confirming that they would pick me up. I’m sharing this experience with you to make you aware that Viator and See Sight Tours misled, misinformed and were dishonest in their dealings with me. It’s pretty obvious the two have a disconnect in their business operations, but it’s unfair and bad business practice to punish the customer for their internal issues - it’s unconscionable and bad customer service. It is my hope you will be extremely cautious should you consider dealing with either of these companies.

Possibly the best tour I have ever…

POssibly the best tour I have ever taken, world wide, was in Halifax this past week (December 2022). Jack was a joy to spend the day with: funny, personable and full of inside information...his great-grandmother survived the Halifax Explosion and what a story that was. Loved the Titanic Cemetery, Peggy's Cove and that noon-time BOOOOOOOOOM still shakes me to the core!
