Easy to assemble, very sturdy, excellent product

The product is easy to construct - the only update I would offer is for the deeper shelves (600mm) you need to place them as you build the frame because chances are you can't fit them in afterwards.

I spoke with the sales team prior to purchase, they helped to make sure my order was complete and reassured me on the strength of Rack 1. The construction was straightforward and I was impressed with the system. One support beam was faulty but Lisa was incredibly helpful in supplying a replacement. I would recommend this company.

Delivered on a pallet, easy construction, the corner shelves definitely require two people. The corner unit did not come with instructions but I found them on the website.

The shelves look great! I'd been looking online for a while so I'm pleased I choose these especially pleased with the sleek look.

The edges of the shelves are not covered in melamine, making them prone to damp. This wasn’t clear on the photos or in the description.

Can't fault the delivery - items were well packaged onto a pallet and all in good condition on arrival. My items were shelves which put together with a mallet. Once you get them together they build into sturdy serviceable units. However, to get them together, don't even look at the instruction sheet - it is dire and the method and order used for the construction in that is hopeless. If you scroll down on the website there are videos on how to put the shelves together - these are the correct instructions and you will halve the time taken to put the shelves together once you have watched them.

Very impressed with the level of service and the quality of the work bench. It was very easily assembled and is of good, strong construction. It will last for years I'm sure.

Wasn't going to leave a review but have just received an email requesting my opinion, so here goes - I'll start with delivery. The website states 2-3 days delivery. I ordered on the 21st Aug and didn't get delivery until 2nd Sept. Even taking into account the Aug bank holiday this was still longer than I was expecting. I emailed on Friday 30th Aug for an update on my order but received no response or apology or explanation for the delay. I did however get a dispatch confirmation email a few hours after sending my email, but still no reponse to my original email.

Finally, the product itself. Well, hmm, it's just not worth the money. It's tricky to assemble as many of the parts are a little bent on arrival. The two parts of the uprights don't join very neatly either. Once assembled it is sturdy though. I wouldn't buy from this site again though.

Good quality shelving. One set of pieces was initially sent out in the wrong size, but had a good response from customer service and new pieces were dispatched to us very quickly. Overall good service.

The staff were friendly and helpful when I placed the order, then again when I called to check delivery times on the day.

We haven't assembled the racking yet, so can't comment on it in use, but it looks sturdy/well made.

Excellent shelving and perfect for my needs although the connections were too tight so had to manually widen to fit together fully.

I ordered some heavy duty Rax 1 deep racking for our garage from Shelving Direct & I am very pleased with it. The product is very good quality & I perfect for what we needed. They were the only company I could find that sold that type of racking in blue & white, not the usual orange & blue. The prices were very competitive compared to the other company’s selling similar products & the delivery was prompt. I have since ordered some more bespoke individual items from them to create a workbench out of the bits I had left over from the original order. Their customer service & sales team were very helpful guiding me through this as I wasn’t aware you could purchase all elements separately. Would definitely recommend Shelving Direct.
