A Clear Choice for bag transfers

I used Sherpavan for an 8 day walk on the Yorkshire Dales. Everything worked exactly as planned. The price was very reasonable. Why hump your bag if you don’t have to? I highly recommend this service.

Pennine Way Bag Transfer

Transferred 2 bags for us each day for 18 days on the Pennine Way Trail. Superb service. We had to make a change half way through as one B and B had to close, for some emergency work. Re-routing bags for that day was no problem. Communication from start to finish was prompt and friendly.

Unreliable and Terrible Customer…

Unreliable and Terrible Customer Service – Avoid If Things Go Wrong

SherpaVan might be fine if everything runs smoothly, but if there’s a problem, don’t expect any help. We were given the wrong collection time for our journey home after completing the Coast to Coast Walk. When we called to find out what had happened, we were told the driver had already attempted to collect us—except we had no idea because we were given incorrect information. This left us stranded, forcing us to pay for a taxi from Richmond to St Bees.

When we tried to complain, we were not only dismissed but actually told we were "troublesome customers" and that they would provide no further assistance. This is completely unacceptable—we followed all their instructions, yet we were treated like dirt in the end.

If you decide to use SherpaVan, I highly recommend calling their office and ensuring everything is documented so there’s no ambiguity. Sadly, our experience was frustrating and costly due to their mistakes, and their attitude toward customer service was shocking.

Would not recommend.

Disappointing.

Disappointing.
Booked for accommodation and baggage transfer on The Dales Way walk. Unfortunately, my bag wasn’t at the first night’s accommodation when I arrived. It appeared to have been forgotten/overlooked and was eventually delivered by taxi. Mid-way along the route a host charged more for the accommodation than was confirmed. I didn’t argue as she was quite stressed and for some reason, unaware whether I was coming or not. I took up the latter point with Sherpa Van. Sadly no proper response other than to say my email had been passed onto another person in the office. No response and emails sent since have been ignored.

A great, trustworthy company

A great, trustworthy company. Communication is excellent, with replies to emails often within the hour (many thanks to H.). The transfer service is impeccable, with our luggage arriving at all destinations without any problems. We've booked them again this year, so no carrying kit meaning you can really enjoy the walk.
