Process straightforward and quick. From collection to delivery overseas took just 30 days.

Very friendly and helpful. Communication was great. Packing team was fantastic! Really smooth from end to end.

The good: My shipment from the UK arrived on Vancouver Island with no losses or damages. The sales rep, the transport manager, and the team who came to collect my shipment were all helpful and personable.

The not ideal, but acceptable: My shipment was delivered almost nine weeks after collection, longer than communicated but not terrible in the scheme of things.

The bad: Communication from the Move Coordination team representative ranged from highly confusing to dangerously incorrect.
I was misadvised on customs documentation, and was glad that I had done my own research and took documentation I was explicitly told by 1st Move that I didn't need.
Insurance offered was pretty poor, but probably not worse than industry standard given the lack of options. Essentially, if you opt for anything but basic coverage, everything you want covering for loss is charged at the higher coverage rate, but only those items which are professionally packed by 1st Move are covered for damage or theft. Anything self-packed that is to be covered for loss is still charged at the same higher rate even though it's not covered at the higher level ie for damage/theft.
Communication from the move coordination team rep on professional packing and what would be charged was pretty terrible and outright contradicted by the team who actually came to collect my shipment.
The volume of my goods ended up probably 25% bigger when wrapped in all of 1st Move's bubble wrap. I understand why the packing materials are necessary, but worth bearing in mind when budgeting for a move.
Communication from the Canadian agent arranged by 1st Move was pretty minimal despite specific questions which should have been easily answerable (such as the location of the customs office for clearance in Vancouver - I am sure this is not new and doesn't change). No accommodation made for my requirements or personal circumstances, and storage and detention charges were raised unnecessarily which created additional stress. Honestly not a pleasant experience dealing with this team, and not a good reflection on 1st Move who subcontracted them.

Overall the experience was made a lot more stressful and complicated than it needed to be or than it easily could have been, but my shipment did arrive safely in the end.

Entire process was amazing with 1stMove. I coordinated a pretty last minute move from London to USA and the company made this very easy for us. Their customer service is truly amazing. They are very responsive and quick to help out with all my specific requests. The day of the move the movers were punctual and they packed up our things in just a few hours, it was all very efficient. I received updates throughout the process including packing at their warehouse, vessel assignment and itinerary, and customs control requirements. Our things arrived as anticipated and everything was in excellent condition. I highly recommend this company for a stress-free, dependable and efficient move.

I had to make a quick dash to the UK to pack up my mums personal possessions after she recently moved to live with us Australia. My Cousin had already picked out 1st Move International and I must say the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. They advised me how to get mums things ready and all the costs involved. I had already left to come home by the time the truck came but I was told the boys packed up everything beautifully and took it back to their depot. From then on we were informed every step of the way even when Mums crate arrived in Australia it was taken by Conroy Removals in Brisbane and we were emailed regularly on the progress of quarantine and delivery. We received a call the day before delivery and the truck arrived here promptly the next morning. Everything was beautifully wrapped and not a single thing damaged. Great service from start to finish thank you.

I had a smooth customer service experience from first point of contact for quotation to delivery in USA. I was regularly updated throughout the process both in UK and USA. Can't rate this highly enough!

I moved my personal effects from the UK to the USA, and the staff at 1st Move made the whole process so easy and quick. In total from my initial call through quotation, insurance, collection, tracking, and delivery took around 5 weeks!

We engaged this company to relocate our entire house to Australia, and we cannot express how disappointed we are with the quality of their service. Additionally, receiving a much better quote does not necessarily mean it will be your final price. In the end, Legacy Movers turned out to be more affordable than 1st Move.

The move of my things from UK to US went well. Everything was perfectly secured. Nothing was damaged. My parcel arrived a few days earlier than estimated. I highly recommend
