I ordered a 10x17ft log cabin from Shire Garden Buildings, and the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.
The first issue was that the delivery arrived one month late, causing unnecessary delays and disruption.
When the cabin finally arrived, we discovered that the floor beams were badly bowed and completely unusable. We were unable to continue building and had no choice but to purchase replacement beams from a local joinery warehouse just to move the project forward. Shire Garden Buildings have refused to reimburse us for these costs, leaving us out of pocket.
As construction progressed, we found even more issues. The windows and doors were badly bowed and did not fit correctly, and there were also missing parts needed to complete the build.
Over two weeks later, we are still no further forward. We are left with a half built cabin while waiting for replacement parts that have still not been sent. Communication from the customer service team has been extremely poor, with no urgency shown and a very unhelpful attitude during both emails and phone calls.
This purchase has cost us over £2,000 for the building itself, plus hundreds more in replacement materials and joinery costs. We have also lost money paying for labour days where nothing could be completed because we were waiting on faulty or missing parts.
I would not recommend Shire Garden Buildings to anyone. The quality of the product and the level of customer service have been unacceptable. A very disappointing experience from beginning to end.

Strangely enough, my experience wasn't initially great, because not all the parts were initially supplied. However, we all make mistakes and to your credit, you immediately responded to my message and arranged delivery of the missing parts which arrived today. Thank you very much for dealing with this so quickly.

Total waste of a company
I have given this company 1 star as that is the lowest that I was able to give if I could I would have given minis 5.
This company are a joke (not a funny one) got a delivery date and a tracking number to track my order. On the day of delivery the tracker was showing that my order was to be delivered between 14.00 and 1600 then it was 17.15 -18.15. Then at 18.30 it changed to 19.30. It is now 21.30 and it still has not been delivered. According to the tracker my delivery is 25miles away from my house.
So what is the point in given delivery days and times when this company do no stick to them.
I have taken the day off work to receive my delivery waste of time.
I will never deal with this company every again. Totally waste of my days holiday.

The summerhouse was delivered with warped and twisted panels. Mostly I managed to work around it except for the door. It took 10 days of ping pong snails and phone calls to get the matter resolved. They even had the cheek to offer me turn buckles to hold the door in place rather than replacing it. I won’t use them again

I ordered a gazebo
I ordered a gazebo. It came on time, it was easy to erect. It looks lovely .
The down side was, we had an issue with the base , the company delivered a new one, which turned out to be a roof section. They then delivered the replacement base which turned out to be the original base with same issues. By this time I gave up and just used it.
But it looks nice and I use it a lot.

The Item that I received is some wrong items! The company should check properly the package before delivered yo avoid mistake/faults. My husband and I are very disappointed the services.

I was very disappointed with my experience purchasing a shed from this company in the UK.
When I inspected the flat-pack shed, I found numerous issues, including damaged components, warped roof boards, ripped roof felt, missing OSB roof boards, protruding screws and poor workmanship. This was not the condition I expected from a brand-new product.
I contacted customer services and was advised that I could carry out some of the repairs myself on a brand new shed.
After providing photographs and further evidence, the return was eventually accepted.
The return process was frustrating. After several emails and discussions, I placed the shed outside my property for collection. On the agreed collection day, the collection did not take place within the advised time window, causing further inconvenience. The shed was eventually collected.
While I appreciate the return, the overall experience—from the condition of the product to the lengthy returns process—was stressful and disappointing. I hope the company improves its quality control and returns process to prevent other customers having a similar experience.

Delivery was on time, all components were delivered together. One piece of glass was damaged, no trouble, a replacement was delivered within days. Instructions were comprehensive. Simple straightforward construction.

Summerhouse arrived so firstly left outside while I was at work I returned to find it lying uncovered receipt stuffed under a bit of wood.
Then joiner started building it discovered no glass for windows or doors had to wait until this was delivered then as joiner was building it discovered the veranda was missing. Had to email again yesterday re this they have now said this part will be delivered on 22nd July. I’m really raging about this as I now have to pay the joiner again to come out once this part has been delivered I’m not happy at all as it’s cost me more money to get it built than it should have. I have emailed several times and the company has not even emailed back with an apology I would not order any from this company again. I saved up to get this summer house and it’s cost me so much now to get it built 🤬

Did not get delivered on 1st delivery date, there was no contact from the company I had to contact them.
Was rebooked for another 2x weeks later and was not delivered. Again no communication or apology recieved.

So disappointed. Very cheap material.
The slats are paper thin and on sections are bowed which i have had to fill up with foam to stop pests crawling in.
I have had to put an extra a coat of shed varnish.
The stars are for the delivery driver Robert? Who was very helpful and courteous. Pity the shed hasn't lived up to his standard.
Have posted pictures of the shed on shires website .
BTW forgot to mention that where the panels are nailed to the frame, the panels have been split.

We'd also like to mention that our buildings are supplied with a factory-applied dip treatment to protect the timber during storage and transit. As outlined in our care instructions, a high-quality preservative should be applied as soon as possible after installation and maintained regularly thereafter to validate the warranty and protect the building from the elements.

This is a request for a review regarding the product I have already reviewed.
At least this gives me another opportunity to follow up from the companies reply.They stated they had sent out a replacement window panel & when asked for the despatch & delivery details they have not replied.I have contacted my customer,to where the goods would of been sent & tbey have received nothing.So now I am out of pocket by £80, £30 to purchase a new panel ,along with time to go & collect it & also time doubling up & wasted while trying to fit something that was the wrong size
