American Fridge freezer - Lost in transit...!!

I recently bought a fridge freezer, measuring 189x92x64 cm, and waited patiently for 10 days for it to be delivered. Then, I received the unexpected message that the item was “lost in transit.” Yes, you read that correctly — lost in transit.

Now, call me skeptical, but if a company can’t track down a fridge of this size, it makes me wonder if their delivery drivers are using it as a new form of hide-and-seek. A 189x92x64 cm fridge seems a bit hard to “misplace,” don’t you think? Maybe it’s too big to be part of the game, but at this point, I have to seriously question whether this company should even be in the business of selling anything. If they can't handle a fridge, perhaps it's time to pack up and close shop!

I’d laugh if it weren’t so frustrating. Surely, a lost fridge is a sign that maybe they need to rethink their logistics or even consider a new business — maybe playing hide-and-seek professionally?

Looking forward to the refund. Let’s hope it doesn’t get lost too.

Non delivery and no reply to emails

Having a major problem with this company ordered an ex display washer needed urgently, taken my money and not had delivery not replying to emails had one saying it’s gone missing and they will send another when they source one!
said I want a full refund asap and all emails ignored ! will be making a claim to trading standards and my bank if not received asap
Please avoid !

After placing my order of… fridgefreezer with water dispenser/broken

After placing my order of fridgefreezer. I was aware that it was exdisplay. So expected wear & tear. I was not aware that the water dispenser was cracked. The whole reason I brought the fridgefreezer is for the dispenser or I would of went for a cheaper option. I contacted them, told I would get a replacement. After trying to contacting them again multiple times, I was just ignored. Great way to run a company. Dont expect what they day

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. It’s been over 10 days since I placed my order, and there’s still no delivery or proper update. The seller completely failed to communicate or take responsibility. This is unacceptable — I’ll never order from this seller again, and I strongly warn others to avoid them at all costs.

No response to emails

Ordered a tumble dryer on 24/06/2025 and was advised delivery would be 5-7 working days. I sent an email 27/06/2025, as I always do, when purchasing from a company for the first time, to see if I could get a rough delivery date but no response. This raised my suspicions so I sent another email 30/06/3025 asking to cancel the order but, again, no response. Luckily I always use a payment method that it is easy to get a refund sorted.

Absolutely thrilled with my new washing…

Absolutely thrilled with my new washing machine. It was described as a ex display cat c, but was a lot less than I would have paid had I bought from Curry's etc. The washing machine arrived at the time I was given and the delivery drivers were absolute stars! When I unpackaged the washing machine, I was fully expecting there to be obvious signs of damage/scratches etc but it took me the best part of an hour inspecting it to find the smallest scratch on one corner! I am now finally catching up with over 4 weeks worth of washing and so far the machine is faultless. Fantastic company, will definitely be purchasing from them again!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

I ordered an A grade fridge freezer. It arrived with deep scratches on the front and a missing shelf. We accepted a small refund for the scratches (we were desperate for a fridge freezer by the time it eventually came) and we were told a new shelf would be delivered ASAP but it never arrived. I have written numerous emails but I have been ignored. This is my second review about this and a manager from the store rang to apologise after the last review and promised the shelf would be delivered. Still no shelf and again my emails are ignored. If you want A grade products and good customer service - avoid this company because you will be disappointed

Avoid Like the Plague – Fraudulent Seller

I purchased two new ex-display tumble dryers, but what was delivered was far from new – the equipment was clearly used. The seller initially denied this, but after I provided irrefutable photo evidence, he admitted it.

At first, he apologized and acknowledged the mistake, admitting that I had been sent refurbished equipment (though, to be clear, the dryers were not even properly refurbished – both were dirty inside from intensive use). He offered to exchange them for new ones or provide financial compensation.

However, after that initial acknowledgment, he went silent and stopped responding to all correspondence. This seller is completely untrustworthy, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Avoid this company like the plague – they are frauds.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

UPDATE 2 - It's now been over 5 weeks since we made a return request and still no collection of the faulty tumble drier and of course no refund. Sporadic and vague responses to my many, many emails and their live chat is a joke. Now stuck with a faulty tumble drier and lost over £300. Ongoing claim via our credit card via Section 75.

UPDATE 1 - faulty dryer, submitted a return request 1 day after delivery and all downhill from there! No response to request, limited response on live chat so now having to initiate Section 75 return via credit card. Very frustrating there's no phone number for Shop@Home. Will update again if they respond and honour their return policy.

Sold faulty 'ex display'fridge

Sold 'ex display' fridge in accurately described, completely battered, that doesn't function, is faulty.
Caused no end of stress trying to resolve. Left with no fridge for over a week until have had to get a new one from a different company.

Impossible to speak to a person at The Shop At Home. Poor response.

Not been provided with am update on replacement, and now refund and collection of faulty goods.

Will be raising complaint to ombudsman.

Avoid, not worth the 'so called cheap price'.

Good service overall

Good service overall. Got a fridge delivered today. Got help to the 2nd floor and the guys was helpful and friendly.
Hopefully all works with the fridge after 5 hours, will review then again😊

Total rubbish

This company should review their policies as products are ill described and customer care is terrible you cannot speak to a person on the phone only through their online service and the results are not what you are told they are
I waited 7 weeks before my problems were resolved. They state that the products they sell are ex display with small marks on the body of their fridge freezer but the one that was delivered to me looked like it had been dragged behind the truck that delivered it but when it was delivered the driver and his mate stated that they could not get it into the house which cost extra to do and left it outside I managed to. It through the door into my house with the help of my friend. I would never use this company again

Awful company to deal with

Awful company to deal with. Ordered a washer dryer failed to deliver in the 5-7 working days as stated. Tried to cancel order, they then sent the product but no notice given for delivery date and not in when came. Tried again to cancel order but no response.
Over 2 months from ordering I have not had the product or refund. So now holding my money and don't respond to any contact.
Stay away from them at all costs. Not worth the hassle
