Horrible quality

Horrible quality! The items are very cheap and nothing like what is shown on their site. The customer service is also terrible!! very rude and dismissive.

If you do decide to buy, make sure you truly like the item, because otherwise you’ll be stuck with store credit and lose the shipping fee.

I can’t believe I fell for it.

Do not buy, stay away

Do not buy from the company, it is a scam. They do not ship the items you order. They are extremely over priced. They give you the run around when you talk to them. They only offer store credit. Even when the item has not shipped out, no refund. No refund policy. Terrible experience. I ordered a dress and 3 months now it still has not arrived. They have provided no shipping updates. They offered me another dress but I don't want that option. I would never purchase from this company again.

I purchased a dress for my birthday…

I purchased a dress for my birthday that I didn't end up choosing to wear for my special day. I emailed and requested a return to find out the dress was a final sale items and couldn't be returned for exchange or for store credit . So now I'm stuck with a dress and that is large. I reached out them and they told me that they made it clear when I ordered the item and emailed it was final sale . I took images of the email and the website description and no where did they show that it was a final sale item that could be returned . Never order from them !

Their return policy sucks. Their website does not give you options either to refine your search. No refunds. If you are not happy with your purchase, you are stocked with them with a store credit. Horrible experience. Read their return policy before buying.

Risky Business

Saks was where I found a dress I wanted for my elopement, but they were sold out of my size. I was super excited to find it at JAUS.
The website feels like a normal online brand website. I placed the order, and once you place the order, the Return Policy is on the order confirmation-they do not provide refunds on returned purchases, only store credit. (You can read reviews on how that works out...)
Six minutes after placing the order, I sent an email asking to cancel the order. I really wanted the dress, but was not willing to risk $400 on a dress that may not fit at all.
I also called the phone number that was provided. When you call the number, you get a message that is hard to understand and does not sound like a business at all. I did not leave a message, but I did attempt to call 3 times, just in case someone picked up the phone.
So, I placed the order on Tuesday 10:51PM ET. I sent an email to cancel the order on Tuesday 10:57PM ET. I received an email on Wednesday 12:20PM ET telling me the item had been shipped. (Really, the label was just created, but no tracking is available as the package has not been picked up.)
At 1:20PM, I received an apologetic email saying that the warehouse had fulfilled the order and the order cannot be changed after the order has been fulfilled.
I am really sad that I made the mistake of not fully vetting their return policy as well as Trust Pilot Reviews to see that this is their standard of operation. Their Better Business Reviews, with a rating of "F", are terrible as well-further indication that this is not a good business to spend money with.
They may be a small business, and I understand that their business practices are different. However, none of this is apparent when placing the order with an online vendor, where the practice is to purchase something, have it shipped to you, try it on, and return it if it does not fit.
I feel baited and switched, and I feel that they know they are trapping people. The reviews speak for themselves.
I will also be making a claim with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney's Office.

Their website is all fake inventory. Everything is out of stock with the same items rotating for the last THREE YEARS I’ve been trying to use a store credit after a return. They have low to no inventory, and intentionally make searching a huge chore. 100% Sketchy.

Tried to cancel order for refund <30 minutes after placed, and denied

Girlfriend just bought two dresses that she liked on here < 30 minutes ago, then saw the refund for store credit only, which is obviously not standard practice. We called just now, storeperson said they "checked with the warehouse and the order had been fulfilled," so there was no way to cancel it for a refund. Apparently they "fulfill orders really fast on the weekdays" so that way they can tell your package is "fulfilled" and steal your money even faster. We will never again order from here, and in the unlikely event anyone ever asks us what we thought of our purchases from Jaus, we will express our dissatisfaction with their predatory anti-consumer practices.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The excuse the storeperson gave was that "we are a smaller boutique," but this is exactly the kind of predatory practice that prevents these smaller boutiques from becoming larger or more trusted brands.

Do not buy from here

This is by far the worst store I’ve ever purchased from. Ridiculous return policy that you have to go out of your way to read the fine print. Absolutely no refunds and just store credit. My most recent negative encounter has sent me to write this review. I finally used the store credit I had left over on a bodysuit that I deemed was not worth the money. I tried to return it (and they make you submit a return request to be approved), low and behold it was rejected as you can’t return bodysuits at all… so now I am stuck with a $200 bodysuit that doesn’t even come close to the quality it should be. I also paid for 2-day shipping and it didn’t arrive on time at all. And, I purchased another item along with this one that wasn’t even actually in stock and I had to be contacted by the store after going through with the purchase to let me know. Oh and they completely jack up their prices compared to the actual brands’ websites. This is one of many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with this store because you are forced to use store credit. Absolutely do not buy from here.

Same experience that I hear from all the other reviews. How is this store still in business?! The dress I ordered was super long and needed major alterations. Long and behold I could not return and am stuck with a stupid credit!

Many larger companies (household names) have this policy, and around 40% are changing their policies to charge for return labels and restocking fees as there are increasing concerns regarding unnecessary excessive purchasing and returns.

If I could give a zero review I would! Like a lot of other customers that didn’t get what they wanted, that’s me too. I appreciate great clothes and had decided to order from jaus. Store credit only return policy is so so so old school. It times when you can’t try the clothes on it is to me a rip-off. Took me over 6 months after returning a dress that didn’t fit me right to reorder a pair pants that also doesn’t fit right. But they are sitting in my closet and I can’t wear them just because I can’t deal with jaus’s return policy anymore. I will never ever order from them again. I will also tell everyone I know to do the same. Thank you for a pair of green pants I can’t wear!!!!!!

Do not buy

Beware. NO RETURNS. NO INVENTORY. Only store credit. ordered a few dresses because they don’t show sizing well. I had to return 2 that did not fit. It has been 2.5 YEARS, and I still cannot use credit. Each dress may have only one size available. No search feature for size, so I’ll waste time sifting through 18 pages to find NONE I’d buy have my size.

This feels intentional to offer store credit but nothing to purchase. Jaus, you need to let us pay a small fee to return. Or have an inventory. I have been scammed.

Zipper damaged, still no refund!

I ordered a stunning dress but when I tried it on the zipper was sticky and for the money I didn’t want to trust that the zipper would continue to work. I immediately returned the item and the store refused to refund my money despite their policy saying to the contrary. If they’re a small company as the other reviews say and they want to grow this is not the way to do it. I’m so dissatisfied and plan to reach out to the BBB next.

Misleading

Horrible customer service. Ordered $300+ dress with expedited 2 day shipping. I was told it has to be preordered and going to be a long wait. I decided to cancel order right away with only store credit offered. The order was not even in process. It was just ordered and they would not return my money. I did not receive clear communication (no email) specifying when this order would be processed or received. Very misleading.
