Avoid if possible

Avoid. Worked with Shoptimised last year after agreeing a fee of 2.5% of revenue generated. All went well for a few months until we realised that their fee invoices were much larger than expected. We then requested detailed breakdowns of every invoice and found out that Shoptimised was not only claiming for completed sales it was also claiming for sales where the customer only put something in the basket then left the website. There is no revenue generated in these circumstances but Shoptimised think they are entitled to 2.5% of these phantom sales.

We have provided evidence of these cancelled transactions to them but they are not interested and are now taking us to Court.

The Shoptimised system itself is ok but it's nothing special and a competent Google Ads specialist could replicate their system at little or no cost.

Best avoided.

Thank you for the review.

We worked with you from Nov 2022 to Feb 2024 in which you have paid 9 invoices up until Jul 2023 and then did not pay any further invoices despite continuing to use our service until Feb 2024.

As explained previously, we work with the Google Ads tracking that you set up and control. All revenue we reported to you was taken from your Google Ads account via the Google Ads API and when you asked us for more detail it was provided to you based upon the data from within your Google Ads and Google Analytics.

From Nov 2022 to Jun 2022, the tracking within your Google Ads account was using the data from your Google Analytics account.

Within the month of June 2023, your Digital Agency set up a new GA4 Analytics account. However that wasn't used within your Google Ads account. Instead, also within June 2022, your Digital Agency created a new conversion tag via the Google Ads website tag which was installed via the Google Tag Manager. That tracking was called 'Thank You Tracking' as it was set up on the Thank You page and it would confirm sales on pages such as https://www.mowers-online.co.uk/checkout/order-received/125315. At the time this happened, it also caused your account to double track which we brought that to your attention and resolved it.

You stopped paying invoices as of Jul 23 and first raised the issue of "failed finance applications" in Aug 23 but didn't provide evidence until Sept 23.

You provided evidence of some of these failed finance/cancelled transactions and we removed those values for you or provided credits notes/refunds. On the screenshots you provided the status of the order was shown as 'Cancelled' and the payment was stated as "via Apply for Finance".

You then told us there were more, but that you could not provide evidence of all and instead sent us a list again, stating "I have reattached the list of failed transactions to this email. Please identify a random selection of transactions and I will provide you with the details."

We asked for full details on every transaction, but you only wanted to provide us with a sample.

On the 18th March 2024, we emailed you agreeing to a sample size. We then chased you for that sample from Mar 24 until Jun 2024.

Within the sample sent, it was proven that some transactions were cancelled but some were genuine sales. Due to the inaccuracy in the sample, we again asked for full details of all sales which we didn't get.

We have tried to settle this matter amicably and it was only recently that you stated that we were "claiming for sales where the customer only put something in the basket then left the website". You provided no evidence about this and if that were genuinely the case, it could only be happening due your Google Ads conversion tracking being installed incorrectly by you or a third party with access to your website and Google Tag Manager.

As we felt that we had exhausted all options and upon you stating on Oct 24th that you will only pay our fees if "I am ordered to by a judge from the Small Claims Court" we have therefore submitted the claim to a Small Claims Court which has prompted your 1 star review, 8 months after our service was stopped.

To suggest "We have provided evidence of these cancelled transactions to them but they are not interested and are now taking us to Court" is untrue. The truth is that you provided some evidence of cancelled transactions and they were refunded.

To suggest that we are "not interested" is also untrue as we have been exchanging emails and calls with you about this since Jul 2023, 90% of which are initiated by us. Whilst continuing to work in good faith until Feb 2024.

We have been working with Shoptimised for the past 5 months, integrating their services alongside our core advertising accounts. Shoptimised - Wonderful Support and Knowledge

The knowledge of the Shoptimised team and the assets they have available to them are excellent. Their custom online dashboard makes comparisons and data collection easy. Equally, the onboarding and implementation was seamless, and we were able to start working with Shoptimised very quickly.

I have been using Shoptimised for just…

I have been using Shoptimised for just over a year now and I have to say they are a fantastic addition to our website, our turnover has gone through the roof since they have been optimising our ads. Sophie is my rep and is really friendly and knowledgable.
The reason for 4 stars is that the downside is that the sales guys are extremely pushy, random calls constantly about upping budgets, they can't take the hint when I'm either too busy to chat or don't want to take them up on their offers, I have had to resort to bluntness to try and calm down their barrage of calls.
