Simply Hired & the John Birch Society

Simply Hired works for the John Birch Society. The John Birch Society is deeply involved in funding violent white supremacists. They had the nerve to send me an offer to apply for a job to become an activist coordinator for white supremacists.

A High Priced Scam Bates for CC Details and Closes Account with No Reason

Very poor customer service. The high price point ($35 each!) to reveal candidates that are not guaranteed to even respond back or show up for an interview, let alone become an employee. My account was closed out of the blue while I was in the middle of interviewing candidates. When I contacted support, it took them days to respond and state, "We have reviewed your account and have found it to be unsuitable for Simply Hired. Please note that this is a final decision. No further action is required on your part and no additional details regarding this decision will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." I had verified all identity requirements which were accepted and didn't violate any terms and after inputting credit card details to reveal candidates for $35 each, they terminated my account without warning or explanation the next day, in very poor taste. There's way better and cheaper job and recruiting sites out there.

There is 1 thing I appreciate about…

There is 1 thing I appreciate about SimplyHired ... while seeking a Job for my husband, I noticed EVERY OTHER job site will say a job is located locally, then you click on it and it's 50 + miles away (which = we don't want it!)... it's a total waste of my time as they always list wrong locations.. Simply hired is the ONLY JOB SITE that doesn't seem to do this & I much appreciate it not wasting my time! Another plus is.. they don't seem to have endless useless pages showing up when you click on a link for a job - I want to scream with these other job listing sites.. so I revert back to Simplyhired for being Simple & using the CORRECT LOCATION of a job. Thank you.

Just posted a job as an employer

Just posted a job as an employer, then discovered they want $13 to contact an applicant. If they applicant doesn't respond do we get a refund? Went to give them a call to ask, then discovered they don't have a telephone number. We're a small local business and have two full time people answering phones. If you can't be bothered to operate a telephone line, I'm not taking you seriously. Deleted the job we posted and moved on.

If I could give it a ZERO

If I could give it a ZERO, I would!
We post on Indeed. We dont post salary.
SimplyHired scraped the listing and posted a salary of 80K! Now we are getting massive amount of interest and calls, but we are the ones looking bad since candidates feel we are bait and switching on them. WORST JOB BOARD ON THE INTERNET

Take it for what it is

Take it for what it is, a website where: 1) Recruiters post mostly fake jobs to feed their database with applicants to present to employers that are willing to pay a fee. 2) Where employers post jobs, not to hire at the time the job is posted, but to research the labor-pool, salary and experience levels, and if they are ready to hire, they may not disclose how little they are willing to pay. Your best bet as an applicant: Reply only to ads that are clear about compensation, where your research shows that the company really exists, and where they are offering compensation in line with their requirements. Stay away from the ads offering "From...", "Up to...", "Competitive...", and that go on for 10 pages of rhetoric intended to confuse, and attract applicants, under false pretenses. A real job, from a reputable employer, is Clear, Brief, gives you the company's name, and a clear numeric salary range. Ex: Smith Advertising seeks a Marketing Director, B.A. in Marketing Required, Master's a Plus, 5 Yrs. Exp. Required, $80K Yr." Notice... how brief and clear it is. Do take notice, that Simply Hired, gives a Salary Estimate for the positions advertised. Don't go by that. Go by what the employer states clearly in their job-description.

I clicked on a now hiring ad I saw on…

I clicked on a now hiring ad I saw on Facebook (my mistake I should've known better) and it didn't even have the job to apply for that they advertised and then all of a sudden i kept getting back to back non stop messages from them saying things like they deposited money into my paypal and to "click here" to go to my account. Another message saying the exact same thing only this time it was saying my Bank of America account and I don't bank with Bank of America and never have. I never clicked on anything but as soon as i hit the x to close it another one would pop up. This is a SCAM and even though I didn't click anything im feeling nervous cause I've been scammed in the past and I know how easily and quickly they can do it.

Horrible in that I wanted to advertise…

Horrible in that I wanted to advertise a position we have available in St. Louis. We pay exceptionally well and have been established for 40 years. We are the longest standing service of our type in the area. After taking the time to set up our ad we were emailed back and told that we were considered unsuitable to them. We were also told that is their definite answer and they plan to give us no reason as to why. This is really quite pathetic and I would recommend against any employer using them.

Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could. My resumes are all on PDF format but kept getting error messages when I tried to attach files to my application ( which was for a job I would have truly loved). Very frustrating job board to use compared to Indeed, ZipRecuiter and others.

I don't even understand how a company…y

I don't even understand how a company could still be in business that operates with no contact by phone. I am used to do doing things online but if I get stuck I can pick up the phone and contact cs. I was denied as an employer after submitting verifiable information to them. Have been in business for almost 10 years and we operate as an S-corp and they emailed and said not suitable information. Who is that wack company and why are people listing their jobs with them. I am grateful we were denied after coming here to see all of the other negative reviews. Horrible job search company and they need to be shut down!!

small company dismissed by arrogant SimplyHired!

As a small company, I tried to setup a account and post one simple job posting. After having me upload my drivers license, and face pic, I got an email to the company address that required a utility bills or copy of state registration of the company. I provided the registration of the company, then all of the sudden they wanted tax registration, utility bill, among other things. I am sorry as a small business, I am simply looking to bring on a apprentice on a contract basis for small construction jobs.

This company needs to list these things up front so people understand the process before having you enter a credit card for a $199 plus subscription. every step required additional info.

The website, the id, the state reg, the email everything is tied to me and my company. Even after provided this info, the last email was that my company was unworthy or unsuitable to have an account with SimplyHired and the decision was final, and no need to respond. Excuse me, who the hell are you to dismiss my legitimate company. Ten minutes later, I am setup on ziprecruiter. what a hassle.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Systems/website doesnt work. We could never get our account activated and then weeks later we got an apology email from their tech support team, but still no activation. Now we just got an email that our 'free' period ends tomorrow and they are going to start charging us - and their cancellation process on their website generates an error message. Horrible company, will never use again.
