Not everyone has the time to wait so try to hurry up with the e sim procedure cuz I will not pay for a SIM and wait for 24 hours to get a confirmation email 🤦🏽😒

Simyo is not what it was 10 years ago

Simyo is not what it was 10 years ago. Unexperienced calling employees dontbknow what to do or say. I ordered a phone and this could not be delivered die to wrong birthdate. They said i get my money in 2 days...still waiting. My new phone fm different provider is not accepted because Simyo says I still have a contract...oeps theyvforgot to cancel.

Mistake over mistake.....no customer service actions are taken.

Unemployed workers andxbad information...no more Simyo for me. Never.

Simyo Spain SIM card does not work…

Simyo Spain SIM card does not work abroad. I have been unable to receive calls or SMS from my bank since January. After two months of going back and forth with support, the final answer was simply: “there is nothing more we can do.”

My advice is that if you plan to travel outside Spain and need to receive bank SMS codes or phone calls, it is safer to choose a larger provider such as Movistar or Vodafone. I had to learn this the hard way. Simyo left me without service during my trip.

Their policy about overseas data usage…

Their policy about overseas data usage is outrageous; they use technical loopholes as part of their business model. If you accidentally turn on mobile internet outside the EU, you'll be immediately charged 60 euros, because they set crazy tariffs (5 euros for 1 mb). I did it once, that was my fault, agree (they catch you - tricky but according to the rules). But today my wife switched mobile data to a different sim card in advance, then turned on mobile internet, and was also charged. The support said: "The usage you see is recorded by the SIM card and the device on the network. Sometimes, a small amount of data may still be used after you've changed the SIM card, for example, because a session wasn't fully completed or due to a delay in the network registration." I'm switching to another operator and will never recommend Simyo to anyone, this is an unworthy way to earn money from your clients.

The rates for using data outside the EU are indeed high. Sometimes a small amount of data may still be recorded, for example due to delays in the network after switching SIM cards. We understand that this is not an ideal situation.

says super fast then you receive an email in 2 (TWO) days you will receive your login info etc to use the e-sim. It could be nice to mention that up front that it takes 2 DAYS for you guys to sort out an e-sim.

We always send two warning text messages: one when 80% of your data bundle has been used and one when the bundle is completely used up. Once the bundle has been used and data is still consumed, the out-of-bundle rate of €0.15 per MB applies. To help prevent high out-of-bundle charges, we recommend setting a data cap (dataplafond). Cancelled a few months ago

Warning; it takes 24hrs to receive esim

Thanks for letting me know AFTER paying money, that it will take 24 HOURS!!!! To receive esim. I dont need it after 24hrs i need it now thats why i ordered it ONLINE in the first place.

Aaand my prepay has been rejected because i didnt want to give all my personal details.
The email they sent conveniently doesnt mention how to get my money back.
God this company is AWFUL

UPDATE: it keeps getting better, besides this generic reply i got under my comment, i got an email saying it may take up to THREE WEEKS to send the €5 back to me. This is comedy

Regarding the rejected prepaid application: before Simyo proceeds with accepting an application, a risk assessment is carried out in accordance with article 1.4 of our general terms and conditions, based on the personal details provided. It’s important that the account holder’s name and bank account number match the details you entered during the order process. If these details do not match, the order cannot be approved.
