I normally don’t leave online reviews…

I normally don’t leave online reviews but felt I should give an honest review of my experience after seeing so many bad reviews. After not skiing for 20 years I got more into skiing this season and decided to buy my own gear and take advantage of end of season sales. I did a lot of research online and ended up buying an entire complete new ski package from skis.com for a total of $1900.
After I placed my order I found all these negative reviews and got a little nervous, but I didn’t have to wait long. I placed my order on Saturday, March 27, 2021, and all of the items shipped and arrived at my house today, Wednesday March 31, 2021. I received emails and tracking numbers for all the packages and everything arrived today.
I am very happy with my purchase and excited to try out my new gear next season!

My order has been processing for 19…

My order has been processing for 19 days and never shipped. Sent email and no response. Called their customer service and they told me my order was canceled yesterday. When I asked why they told me the product (ski poles) was unshippable and now out of stock. I checked my account and it the order is still processing. This was a gift for my daughters birthday and now I have to scramble to find these poles from somewhere else. I buy alot of things on line and this is by far the worst experience and customer service I have ever had. I would go somewhere else and pay more if necessary.

I wish I could give Skis.com a zero

I wish I could give Skis.com a zero. Worst customer service. They cancelled the ordered because they had sold out and never informed me. Charged my card so when I called to inquire about my order, and they informed me that they cancelled it, I had to ASK for a refund. Scam of a company.

I don't ever plan to order from this…

I don't ever plan to order from this company again. I ordered skis for which I received a confirmation of my order. When I didn't get a shipping confirmation, I reached out to see when I could expect to receive them. Lo and behold, I was told I wouldn't be receiving them after all because they were no longer available. Add to that, I ordered a ski and boot bag combo and when I opened the box, there were rollerblades in there -- I never ordered rollerblades. When I contacted customer service to tell them I never received my ski and boot bag but did receive rollerblades they told me that they wouldn't refund the cost of the ski bag and boot bag until I returned the rollerblades! You have got to be kidding me -- you screw up but yet won't refund my money! I should have just sold the rollerblades instead of being honest. This company is horrible!

This is the absolute WORST company on…

This is the absolute WORST company on the planet to buy from. Worst experience, I swear my 5 year old could conduct business more efficiently. They screwed up my order 4 TIMES, or I ordered and paid for something only to later get a "sorry not in stock" email after transaction, and the one item the did have, they didnt ship it on time so I dont even have it for my ski trip. I had to call THEM to remind them to ship it, and I paid for extra for expedited shipping. Avoid this company and I believe its affiliate Summit Sports.

Are any of their products actually in stock?

Their inventory management is a mess. I've attempted to buy 3 different items from them (ski boots, ski gloves and a beanie) in two different orders, however, my experience with Skis.com always ends the same way. After a week of my orders pending without being shipped, I contact customer service (easier said than done) only to be told that the item(s) I am trying to order is now out of stock. The most frustrating aspect of this is that Skis.com will not hesitate to charge you, but they will wait for you to contact them to determine that your items aren't coming and to seek a refund. At this point, even if I see a good deal on something at Skis.com, I'd rather buy it from one of their competitors for a more expensive price to avoid the headache of trying to contact customer service and seek a refund.

DO NOT ORDER SCAM Literally the worst customer service experience EVER!!! Do not buy from this company. I bought skies from them for my birthday. Two weeks later they email me to say that the skies were actually never in stock! They gave me a new 10% off coupon and $20 my next order. I wrongly decided to give them a second shot. The next time I ordered I called their customer service to verify that the new pair of skies was in stock. These skies were more expensive but I needed them for a ski trip. I wait another week and finally I email them. Guess what?? The skies are not in stock either. Oh, and this time they don't give me any coupons. Also, they wont let me post a review to their website....

Skis.com: misleading price match and unethical delays to avoid

I purchased a pair of Spyder ski pants from Skis.com. The DAY they arrived, Spyder announced a sale on the same product, for $30 less. I immediately followed the website process to submit an email with the link to the lower price and order information. I even took a screen shot of my cart with the date and time to submit! I had to CALL THEM after 3 days, to inquire about the match.

During that time, Spyder sold the product out, so since they couldn't verify, in real time (despite my screen shot), they wouldn't honor the price match. Seems pretty fishy and downright misleading to simply NOT respond to requests, in order to not honor the price match. Total BS! All of the reps were lovely on the phone and sorry, but their hands were tied.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Wish I would have read the reviews…

Wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. Same story different day. I ordered ski boots for my husband 2/23. Received an email 3/4 stating theboots were out of stock and the order was canceled. However, upon reviewing my account no refund has been given. I emailed and called several times over the last week and was told each time my refund was coming. No such luck. It's also worth noting that each time I call I experience the same time suck which is they customer service representative puts me on hold for over 14 mins then the call is "disconnected" as they supposedly speak to a supervisor to see where the refund is. Also, another huge red flag, every time I request an email (proof in writing) that my refund is being processed I am told they do not do that. This is a nightmare company. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!!

Ordered 3 day shipping and we tried to call 3 times and got their voicemail . Also emailed them about the order with no response. After callings fourth time a week later they told us that the product was sold out. Don’t order from skis.com. #skis

Avoid the summitsports.com group of…

Avoid the summitsports.com group of websites. I have (unknowingly) ordered from two, both with the same M.O. most people have described above. No product actually in stock, no email replies, you have to call to beg for your refund. bothwateroutfitters.com and skis.com were exactly the same process. Buyer beware.

Skis sold out after they charged me

I'm not sure how this company is still in business. I ordered a pair of Skis from their website & the order status was "processing" for 4 days. I finally called for a status update, they said they were sold out. They went to ship them from the warehouse & the skis no longer had the bindings on them. No one cared to contact me & they put a hold on my card. I would stay away from this company for your outdoor needs.

Do not pre-order from this site

Pre-ordered a pair of skis a month ago, estimated ship date was a week ago now. The estimated ship date came and went, nothing. I emailed twice asking for an update or estimated ship date, nothing. Meanwhile I watched as the skis I ordered were listed as available on their site in my length, and then quickly sold out again. Called today, found out they're sold out again and cancelled the order. Pretty awful experience, won't be shopping with them again.

Bad reviews can be deceiving

I was worried because I placed a time sensitive order for ski pants & saw the bad reviews on here after I had already placed my order. I ordered the pants on a Thursday evening and called that following Monday for a status update. I was only on hold for about 2 minutes & the service rep was super nice and accommodating. I never received tracking initially, but he confirmed the item had shipped the day after I ordered it & emailed me the tracking info on that same call. I received the item the following day, ahead of when I needed it to come in.

Very satisfied with my experience!

Wouldn't Recommend

As others have noted in recent reviews, this company has been listing items for sale that they evidently do not have in stock. I ordered a pair of ski poles and about a week after they were supposed to arrive, I was finally notified that they would in fact not be sent at all. I wouldn't trust that the products listed on their website are actually available for sale... and having read numerous other reviews I suppose I'd consider myself lucky that I at least got my money back given this company's apparent lack of concern about customer service. Save yourself the trouble and by ski equipment literally anywhere else.

Order placed with expedited 3 to 5 day…

Order placed with expedited 3 to 5 day shipping. Credit card charged. No product received 3 weeks later. No tracking number received. Numerous emails to "contact customer service" over 9 day period without any response. Telephoning resulted in message call back during business hours when it was business hours. Does this business still exist? Will have to cancel through credit card

Happy Customer

I ordered a new pair of Salomon ski boots on late Monday evening. SKIS.COM had a 10% off for new customers, so the price was the best I could find. Then I read of some of the reviews and was a little concerned. Not to worry. SKIS.COM shipped the boots on Wednesday (2 days later) and they arrived on Friday via UPS (total of 4 days from ordering). Probably would have arrived on Thursday but weather in the midwest has been delaying shipments. The order was correct. I would have prefered an email saying shipment occurred, but I did track the shipment on SKIS.COM website. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I would order from SKIS.COM again.

Skis.com is not reliable.

As many people have said before, skis.com isn’t worth your time doing business with. Similarly to others, I ordered skis and boots and didn’t receive them for over 2 weeks. I contacted the customer service team to check the status of my order and was told the only solution was to cancel my order and start over. No discount for lost time, no compensation whatsoever. Please take this advice and shop for ski gear elsewhere. You deserve better.
