I would not recommend this practice…

I would not recommend this practice based on my recent experience.

I was advised that a tooth required assessment by a root canal specialist and that extraction with implant placement may be necessary due to an alleged abscess and failed root canal. This was presented alongside a significant amount of additional proposed treatment, amounting to thousands of pounds.

I sought a second opinion from a specialist dentist where I was informed that the diagnosis provided by Sky Dental was incorrect. While an onlay was recommended as a precaution, the tooth did not have the faults that had been suggested and the more invasive treatments discussed were not required.

In addition to this, I attended a hygienist appointment at the practice shortly afterwards. My composite bonding had been in excellent condition for nearly three years. Following the hygiene visit, I was left with visibly roughened, dull surfaces on the bonding, which had not been present before. I have since been advised that the likely cause was the use of an overly abrasive instrument or polishing method. As a result, I now have to pay for a composite refresh at additional cost.

Overall, I was advised to have thousands of pounds for treatment that was not necessary and have been left with damaged composite bonding that will cost hundreds to repair.

This experience has been both financially and professionally disappointing.
