Very thorough. Evidence based. Kind. Impressive process
Skylight Psychiatric has been so good to deal with, I waited over 5 years for an adult ADHD assessment on the NHS before discovering the Right to Choose Pathway, I chose Skylight simply because of of geographical location, but I couldn't be happier with the service, communication has been spot on, my assessment was scheduled sooner than anticipated and Jordanna who saw me was more than helpful, she made the whole process feel natural and conversational. I would definitely recommend Skylight to anyone needing their services.
Very professional, and so pleased I went to right to choose , and went with Skylight , very quickly as well , was nervous before video call , but once got going was fine and being myself , Hannah was brilliant, friendly and professional, was diagnosed today , but kind of always known , struggled a lot in my early days , and so pleased now I know , here's to the future
Shamir has been fantastic at listening and helping with my ADHD titration.
Shamir is a tentative health practitioner who asks on what you feel is best for your own treatment pathway. The ADHD medication Shamir has provided has been truly life changing. It is always a pleasure to speak with him.
Amazing service with wonderful and helpful staff. They have changed my life around and helped me through my struggles with ADHD. Megan is fantastic and I can’t praise her enough, she has guided me through the process, making it easy to adapt to changes I’ve made in my life. She has been very professional throughout but has also been very easy to talk to about any problems or worries I’ve had. Couldn’t have done it without her and skylights help.
They are always reply promptly and are very easy to get in contact with if there are any issues. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who has undiagnosed ADHD as it’s changed my life.
Thank you everyone!
Quick to get an appointment.
Thorough with assessments before hand.
Had a great assessor who explained things clearly including next steps and was kind.
I have nothing else but thoroughly positive reviews about the service. The before process was so easy and well instructed. The assessment was booked with minimal wait time and I cannot thank Edward enough for his time and patience throughout my assessment. NHS wait lists are so long. I would recommend everyone uses the right to choose.
I am incredibly happy with my experience with Skylight. I was only referred for an assessment 4 to 5 weeks ago and have already completed it. I was extremely nervous beforehand, but Jack was absolutely incredible. He immediately put me at ease, and even though I talked nonstop, he was so patient and understanding. I highly recommend Skylight to anyone struggling with their mental health. The experience helped me learn so much about myself and finally gave me answers to the challenges I’ve faced from childhood into my adult life."
I have emailed multiple times and not had a reply. 😡 I feel like the assessment time is great, that happened really quickly. But having to wait 5 months for medication or to start therapy is excessive. Also takes 5 weeks for the report to come back, and mines been longer than that. My friend went through another pathway on right to choose around a month after me, and she’s had her assessments and is already starting medication. I’m desperate for the help I need, as my mind is taking over my life. Please respond to my emails!
I had my on-line ADHD assessment yesterday. I was apprehensive about how it was going to be but Stephanie was very reassuring and it all went very smoothly. She was calm and described things that I didn’t understand with clarity.
I’m now waiting to have my autism assessments with less anxiety after yesterday‘s experience. Thank you Stephanie.
The whole process was very effecient. Once I asked my GP for right to choose. I had been waiting at least 3 to four years this started the process very quickly. From start to assessment and conclusion. Whilst the report will take approx 4 to 5 weeks, knowing my outcome has brought me relief, as I thought I was going mad! Now I can move forward with getting the right support come off my anti-depressants if no longer required. It will also assist with looking at coping strategies and managing myself in a better way. Until you have a conclusion or result its difficult to know what methods or support you need if you do not know what is wrong with you, and therefore are in limbo until you know your outcome.
Jordanna was really supportive as were all the people I had spoken to at Skylight Psychiatry, with questions and queries when I contacted them. Whilst wanting a face to face assessment I was very wary about an online assessment as I did not believe I would be seen as my true self. After speaking to the ADHD group about online versus face to face assessments I decided that trying to travel long distance to the nearest location would be in itself stressful. So happy I chose the online, assessment the appointment came through quickly within days and results were a lot quicker. From a right to choose perspective the only thing I would suggest is that for GPs to know that an assessment for Autism can only be done at Exeter not ADHD as this was the nearest venue for people in Cornwall listed for face to face assessment.
From start to finish, I have received such great service and care from the assessor, clinicians and admin staff at Skylight Psychiatry, with thorough titraition and clear treatment plans. I had questions about ADHD medication at the start, and throughout the titration stages that Shamir was happy to answer and explain in ways I could understand. He provided great information to help me make informed decisions, along with an array of knowledge and a polite and personable work ethic. I highy recommend the entire team and their service for anyone seeking to find out if they have a diagnosis of ADHD or not, and where applicable, information and guidance with medication choices.
Thank you all for your support!
Skylight were patient and understanding with me about getting questionnaires done and the gentleman I had the video call with was very calm and helpful and considerate the whole time. I realised I was going off subject a couple of times which helped me see that my condition had been long term .
The whole process was straightforward and relatively quick. I’m pleased that I didn’t have to wait too long . I’m satisfied with the outcome and Skylight services have been excellent.
Wioleta was lovely and a trustworthy clinician, explained things very clearly and made me feel seen and supported, highly recommend!
Very good assessment made me feel at ease. Process was good and assessor was kind and understanding
Very smooth and calm assessment, plenty of time and kind person. So happy in total. Thank you
Had a call with Chris who very quickly put me at easy. He was really kind and understanding, which allowed me to fully articulate my experience. Anybody feeling anxious about an upcoming appointment need not worry. I was relaxed and myself after just a few minutes. Thank you again Chris for your support.
Fast, friendly and thorough assessments! Kind, understanding, patient Assessors! Explained the whole process as it was happening, overall really good reliable service, would highly recommend! From GP referral which was completed on 14th July 2026 to a formal diagnosis on 12th August 2026! Unbelievably fast and dedicated team!
Psychiatrist was Great. Friendly, well informed about female version (masking and all the mess that only loved ones have seen), holistic approaches (encouraged supplements, etc), trauma informed; truly wonderful, better than I expected. Skylight Comms (emails, texts) have been Good, only I wish had more clarity.
So, the 'Next Steps' email means Skylight need 5 weeks (!!!) to write a Report, and until then, I technically have no written diagnosis?
Would also be nice if they'd explained more clearly in the email that at that point Titration call (with who?) can begin (I think?); something about GP something, something....???
Also they offered to send a PDF with holistic care tips but I didn't get anything; would be nice.
No mention of ANY support for CBT, counselling, therapy. Not surprising I presume as NHS RightToChoose means I'm dealing with a profit driven private provider, but if NHS paying, and CBT proven to ALSO be helpful (and maybe cheaper than endless meds), then why does NHS not make RightToChoose providers like Skylight also provide (or at least offer) that?
In summary, got Assessment fast, Assessment process seemed good, but next steps,.. not crystal clear and despite a great Psychiatrist who seems to think holistic approaches help, no help beyond him for them (yet).
Grateful to NHS to have gotten this support at all though; a lot of mess of life to date making sense now (scrapped through to graduate despite failing papers and low grades; achieved things at work despite lots of late, losing jobs, ending up in debt etc). Brain works different: Great at Ideas, Concepts, Vision, Innovation; never been awesome at detail... Now clearer why (dopamine something something- do wish Skylight would also send a PDF with the latest on that, for women).
From doing assessments to being seen and getting an ADHD diagnosis was less than 2 months which is amazing! Rhea conducted my clinical assessment and she was able to make me feel so calm and this allowed me to open up fully about what I was experiencing. I cannot fault the experience with Skylight at all and I would recommend them to anyone going down the path of right to choose.
