They're always cancelling the events
I always signed up for Slow Dating events but never had any luck with any of them because they keep cancelling the events, even when they don't need to. They are building up hope and then letting people down, which is a terrible way of promoting a dating event.
There were at least a few times where the team promised an event was going ahead, only at the last minute... they cancelled it. Unbelievable. And they don't offer a refund when they cancel. You have to ask them for it.
I honestly feel so sorry for the people that were really looking forward to meeting their ideal partner, only to have that opportunity completely ruined because the events never happen, just because a few people drop out.
I get that sometimes it's difficult to get the right amount of people and to get the numbers even, but the more this happens, the more people will lose their faith with Slow Dating. Not everyone finds online dating successful, and sometimes people can't find someone or have no social life because of the lack of decent social venues, so having something like slow dating is a great idea, but it never achieves anything because it rarely happens.
Extremely disappointing.

We are sorry to hear you have been unlucky in attending an event, we can confirm we have lots of successful events across the country every week so we apologise you have not experienced one yet!
With regards to a refund, as per our Terms and Conditions, if we cancel an event we always transfer you to the next available event, however our team are on hand if you cannot make that date and require a different event or a refund and get back to you as quickly as possible.
As you have stated above, you understand that it can be difficult to get the right amount of people for events and we would never want to run a heavily imbalanced event as that is not an enjoyable evening for anyone.
We would hope that in the future you may change your mind and consider returning to try one of our events and have a better experience, as we help so many people every week to have a great dating experience and meet lots of new people!

First attempt at speed dating
This was my first time speed dating and was not sure what to expect thankfully I was not the only first timer the host was outstanding made everyone feel comfortable and explained everything she definitely made things go more smoothly and made me feel comfortable from start to finish I will definitely be attending again now I know what to expect

Very disappointed
Very disappointing first attempt at speed dating. Unfortunately of the 9 men that booked on the Portsmouth event, only 4 turned up. As there were 12 women we chose to postpone and go to another event. Although after this experience, it has made me wonder how successful this really is.

An enjoyable experience- Amy the host in Sheffield is excellent!
Amy really gave a warm welcome to us all, she is a great host and really makes the event special. Please please please may we have some large singles parties arranged for Sheffield. It seems to be for all other cities but not Sheffield. So please some large mixer event with 100 people at least, Halloween parties/ Christmas parties would be amazing! Thank you again to Amy for excellent organisation, and her professional manner! Will definitely go again.

High volume... dealing with the Public is not am easy product. Keeping Business simple is easy for all the Staff......Title...ORGANISED.....
This was my first opportunity to use this company. My early approach was to visit the Venue.They immediately put me in touch with their contact details.Within an hour or so I received all the information.
Now I am delighted & looking forward to the event...

Event was 'postponed' the day before it was due. Got a text saying we have emailed you with all the details. But they didn't. Had to contact them. New event isn't for 2 months! Now trying to get a refund.

Only 6 men turned up so a total of 24 minutes was spent on the whole experience!
The host was also a step in as the original host had bailed.
The customer service after the event is even worse with no refunds offered as the event was attended.
Save your money and try dating in a different way!

We can confirm that the host looking after you on the evening is one of our most experienced hosts and was covering the event for another host as they had been unwell.
As we stated in our email to you, we are sorry for the lack of attendance at your event, we find it frustrating when we have no-shows and can only but apologise for this, as we are sure you can understand this is completely out of our control if people do not attend an event.
As per our Terms and Conditions:
"We guarantee a minimum of 6 dates at any regular speed dating event. If you meet less than 6 people at any one event, you may, at our discretion, be offered a discount voucher towards a future speed dating event (no refunds).
If you attend an event, utilise our services and request a refund following this, no refund will be given."
We can see that you have entered your choices after the event meaning you have utilised our services. Please note that you can amend your choices for up to 28 days post-event.
Once again we do apologise that this happened, wish you lots of luck with your choices and we sent you a code for money off of an event in the future which we would hope to redeem ourselves at!

Didn’t get to go Speed Dating due to meeting someone before that day. I wrote a quick email to cancel my slot and I got a really lovely reply from Lauren. In my email I didn’t ask for my money back but as a good will gesture Lauren said I would receive it back which I was so appreciative. She also wished me the very best for the future.
