The course was really well structured taking me through all the fundamental elements of coaching with both theory and practical workshops. My tutor was really supportive and knowledgeable helping me to develop my skills underpinned by theory. He also made it great fun and was always there if I needed an extra bit of help. When it came to the EPA, he was really patient in going over everything so I knew what to do helping me secure a distinction. I don't think I could have done this without my tutor's support as he kept me on track when life and work took over.

I have had a very positive experience completing my Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship. At the beginning of my programme, my tutor was Melanie Langdon, who supported me in settling into the course and understanding the structure of the apprenticeship.

After some time, Emily Schramm became my tutor and provided excellent support throughout the remainder of my apprenticeship. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and approachable. Emily explained payroll concepts clearly and in detail, ensured I fully understood each topic, and always adapted session timings when needed to support my work schedule. Her guidance helped me build confidence in both my technical payroll knowledge and practical workplace application.

Alongside the apprenticeship, I also completed Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English, which were taught by Debbie Seiles. Debbie provided clear explanations, structured lessons, and helpful practice materials that supported me in successfully completing both qualifications.

Overall, this apprenticeship has been a valuable learning journey that has strengthened my payroll knowledge, compliance understanding, and professional skills. I appreciate the support and dedication of my tutors, which made the programme both effective and enjoyable.

Fantastic help from my tutor to help me gain my apprenticeship! Any time i needed help or struggled with a part of the course Mick always gave me extra support or sessions whenever i needed it.

The support I received was very helpful and steady all the way through my NVQ5. My tutor JS was always there to guide me and made sure I understood what I needed to do. They were patient and clear, and I felt well looked after from start to finish. I did not have any issues, and the help I got made completing my NVQ5 much easier. I am pleased with the service and how everything was handled.

Overall really good experience completing the level 3 payroll administrator apprenticeship, always provided really good support to me during the course and always happy to provide extra sessions if needed to help.

Smart Training have provided me with three qualifications since I started my role over 10 years ago, and I wouldn't be where I am now, without them.

They have supported me with face to face training, functional skills support and even phone calls during the pandemic.

Never again will we be enrolling any of our staff onto a apprenticeship with this company. The poor tutors get absolutely snowballed with work to the point we have had some many different tutors we don't know what's happening. Poor communication and how the hell can you complete the qualification with a learner in the health sector without actually visiting and doing observations???? I smell a rat.

Worst Apprenticeship Provider. They don’t actual care about their students, they just want to fob you off and get the money for the courses. My advice. Do not touch this company! It’s so unprofessional!

Advice to other companies - This company is unethical and is run by bullies and I wouldn’t associate with this company at all.
