I recently bought a television online from Smits Arnhem. They had the best price for the model I wanted at the time. After placing my order, I received a call the next day letting me know that the model I chose was out of stock. They offered me two options: a full refund or an upgrade to the newer version of the same TV for a small additional cost.

The newer model was roughly €900–€1,000 more expensive elsewhere — I had already checked — yet the extra amount they asked was surprisingly minor. They were friendly, transparent, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. Honestly, I kept waiting for there to be some sort of catch, but there wasn’t. I received the upgraded model, brand new, and it’s fantastic.

The only “catch” was that they actually wanted to help. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I wanted to buy an Onkyo RZ70, which was out of stock, but the store called me on the phone, despite my foreign phone number. They very kindly informed me that the product was in the process of being purchased, but they couldn't promise anything for sure. They managed to get the AVR within a week, which I received a few days later. I am very satisfied with the administration, the helpful, kind telephone contact. I would definitely recommend the store to others, so it's natural for me to give it a 5*.

Another purchase (Hifi Rose streamer/dac), and as always it was an absolute pleasure to deal with these guys. They have always offered me an outstanding deal be it for audio or video but still upholding great customer service, always friendly, helpful and communicative, a rare thing nowadays.

What appeared to become a ‘standard’ on-line purchase, turned into a tailor made customer service experience. Where the offered product was no longer available, Smiths offers an equivalent functional proposal at the same price level. A very well appreciated offer and happy family were the result of that. Thx to the tem for contacting the OEM a negotiating this, where saying’no’ was also on my he table. I’m going back to this Smiths with my future musical requirements.
