So disappointed
Wow… to say disappointing would be an understatement
A table for 9 was booked well in advance to celebrate my sons birthday, upon arrival the restaurant was busy with a loud happy buzz to it and seemed ideal for an informal family get together. But unfortunately that was as good as it got, Although a little late arriving we were told our table wasn’t ready, not ideal but life is, we were then informed that our table was downstairs and that is when alarm bells set in.
No wait at the bar sir whilst we prepare your table here, oh no. We see asked to wait on the stairs whilst table was sorted! Unfortunately these stairs were also the route to and from the male toilets, and we had to inform various guests that, no we weren’t queuing up for the loos. Anyway we were then told table was ready and we followed waitress only to be shown into a dreary basement room a million miles away from the busy buzzing atmosphere of upstairs. I should say our waitress was lovely, welcoming and friendly but drink and food arrivals at our table were disjointed to say the least. We had the feast menu for 9 and whilst the food was nicely cooked, it was totally underwhelming and seriously overpriced for what it was. Would certainly not recommend.
