Once I got the right question the service is great. Not good thar every time I come back I have to relay the whole story from the start. Not easy for a lay person to communicate via text. Much easier... See more

Snakes in the Grass
I had a SolarEdge battery installed at my home, and it never worked properly. I reported the problem within the first month the system was turned on, and I continued reporting it to both the installer and SolarEdge over the following months.
Each time I contacted SolarEdge, I was told to work through the installer. After my original installer went out of business, I began working with a new installer. They evaluated the system and determined that the battery was defective.
SolarEdge then denied the warranty claim, arguing that the battery had not been installed within two years and was therefore out of warranty. They have claimed the battery was effectively “installed” only when I switched to the new installer, and that because the battery was manufactured in June 2023 and the new installer became involved in August 2025, the warranty was void due to improper storage. I have asked multiple times for documentation supporting this policy and have not received it.
What makes this especially frustrating is that I have documentation showing I reported the issue from the beginning, yet that evidence appears to have been disregarded.
Based on my experience, the process feels designed to delay, deflect responsibility, and deny claims. I would strongly encourage consumers to keep detailed records and get legal advice early if they run into similar warranty issues.

Terrible company to do business with
Terrible company to do business with.
I did not pick them, my installer did.
4 months after install, inverter failure.
Try calling, they only answer installer phone calls.
I need a new installer, they provide one 90 miles away that is not accepting new work.
I am on my own to find an installer that will work with their garbage.
Another failure and it is lemon law time

After supervision monitoring update, one string of my system was not anymore visible on the supervision app. After highlight to technical team, it took no more than 2 days to solve the issue.

The support I have had from solar edge has been bad and according to the installer the information and support they get is just as bad, there inverters are not reliable and the support for the homeowners when you try and contact them is the worst I have ever experienced. Be careful

SolarEdge support... What support is that?
My SolarEdge battery and inverter system stopped working correctly about two weeks ago. The installer has been providing me with good support and has been working hard to get SolarEdge to fix the issue. It appears that it has nothing to do with my system at all; it is a problem, a bug of sorts, in the SolarEdge software at their server.
They told me the problem has been escalated at SolarEdge, but two weeks is much too long for a system not to be working. They don't seem to be capable of fixing problems with their own software.
The system has been working well since it was installed some eight months ago, but it is completely unacceptable for it to be failing for over two weeks due to a problem with the SolarEdge server.
I am updating this review and reducing it to one star. SolarEdge appears unable to fix this problem. I have actually had the situation where the battery was charged during the day and then discharged back to the network. I paid the electricity company to charge the battery, then exported it for a lower price.
This is simply not good enough. I regret my purchase of SolarEdge equipment.

Infuriating and impossible lack of customer support. Seems consistent with many other reviews.
App support is written for other techno-needs.
Hopefully a class action suit, perhaps for discrimination against elderly, is needed.

Every year one optermiser fails with my…
Every year one optermiser fails with my solar edge system. It would seem its a batch problem. Solar edge replace optirmiser each time but i have to pay for the work including scaffold. That cost is £1000 each year. System makes about £600 a year. So if your thinking about getting a solaredge system be aware it will not save you money it will cost you extra £40] a year to produce your enery. With these extra costs. I asked solar edge and they said today its not a batch problem its what their optermisers do. So all their optermisers are faulty or only last a few years. I asked to have all original replaced as this cost every year is unaffordable but they are not interested. Not their problem. I am a pensioner and got this to save me money in retirement but its costing £400 more every year than not having and many thousands initial cost. So until solar edge make reliable optermisers i would stay well clear of them and their customer care is a joke. I hope they fix this once and for all if they do i will update here. Even if they cover all costs if occurs again. Its not sustainable at £1000 repair every year or so. Plus remember you lose solar power when it goes down
Well case number is 6746680 so you can contact me. I will adjust and update this being open honest and fair. Currently they are just replacing one optermiser again.

THREE AND HALF YEARS OF MISSERY
In three and half years my 14 kw system with 29.1kw of batery storage, has had all the optimisers changed 3 times, one new battery, 2 inverters. Numerous engineers to fix installed equipment and continual update soft ware, including a realinement of the original install. Whilst doing these repares they have broken many roof tiles (they did replace ,not the point) and at this point in time i have a battery, inverter and a whole bank of panels not communicating with the app and solar edge telling me there is no issue and contact installer. The installer wants nothing to do with solar edge anymore. Wish i had fitted tesla power wall takes up less room ,more reliable and feeds back to house in a power cut, solar edge does not. UP SHOT STEER CLEAR OF SOLAR EDGE.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life.
Appalling after sales service. My inverter fault was initially well managed and a replacement dispatched next day. This was held at customs by UPS as no valuation paperwork had been supplied. I notified Solaredge via WhatsApp and was told being dealt with.
Long story short, despite several attempts to get them to send the right details to UPS, the inverter was eventually returned to them by UPS. Over 2 weeks later I receive an email from Solaredge saying my inverter has been delivered! Wrong case number and wrong address. Hopeless. I raised a complaint - no response. Asked about this on WhatsApp - sorry, different department. You almost couldn’t write this!
Eventually, 3 weeks late after the initial fault was logged, a new inverter is approved for dispatch. That was 5 days ago. So far, this new inverter still hasn’t been shipped. Im at a complete loss as to how to get this resolved. I asked yesterday about raising another complaint and was told that this would only lengthen the process.
This company is behaving more and more like some dodgy cowboy outfit. I have honestly never received such an appalling level of service in my entire life.

27/04 responded to Solaredge response with case details as requested.

05/05 Correct inverter finally arrived 5 weeks after fault reported. Case resolved.

Attentive and careful my after sal s support has been one of the reasons why I would recommend Solar Edge.
Now that software upgrades are communicated to installers, this adds an additional improvement.
