It fills good quality and has nice operation of handle and locking mechanism. Pleased at moment.

We love our new door
We are extremely pleased with our new Solidor front door, it looks great and is a massive improvement on the one it replaced. I intend to maintain it as per the recommendations, however I am concerned with the large number of 1 ⭐️ reviews Solidor has received. Pebble Grey composite door
I had an independent door fitter and he reccomended i go for a solidor door as my choice for a composite door. The colour choices and options for hardware were great. I opted for pebble grey with black hardware and I am delighted. The quality seems very good obviously only time will tell. My previous composite door started to crack but it was well over 10 years old so hopefully this solidor will last even longer

Cracking Front Door (no it's literally cracking)
If your front door will have prolonged exposure to the sun, forget about purchasing a composite door from Solidor. It will most likely start to crack and warp within a few years.
Our front door was fitted in 2022 and within the last year it has started to significantly crack in various places (last count was 7) and looks like it will only get worse.
Extremely disappointing given the cost involved when purchasing and fitting the door. If I had known beforehand I would not have purchased this type of door from Solidor.
Waiting to hear back from Solidor to see what options we have to try and resolve our issue.

The after sales service as been excellent all the way through our communications. My door is 9years old and the company I bought it through, have been bought out and Solider still replaced it, I cannot praise them enough they have been excellent though out.

Update to Solidor review posted in March
Update to this review. Wed 9th July 2025. Masonite ( Solidor owner) has offered to replace the slab/ door. It has taken some time but I am pleased the issue is going to be resolved.
We had a Solidor fitted in 2017. Cost £1700. Now it’s cracking badly. “ Due to sunlight, expansion and contraction”. I contacted Solidor.. No response. We contacted the insurance provided by the fitters. No joy!
It’s a front door !!!! If it can’t stand UK weather it can’t be fit for purpose. I would expect a bit more durability. Solidor promote their 10 year guarantee ( with the supplier not the customer)
My advice . Don’t touch Solidor with a barge pole !!!

Issues with the door installed in October 2024
Bought their door in October 2024. We had multiple issues with the door. It does not open smoothly first and then started locking us out. It’s not door is swearing. The latch is not moving. We called the their installer who fixed temporary but the same problem came back in a few weeks. We needed to call emergency locksmith and pay for it one night.
We contacted both the installer and solidor. We DID NOT hear from solidor. Their installer denied issues and did not investigate why this keeps happening. We are now in a position to keep worrying if we might not be able to enter our house anytime again and wasted a lot of money for poor quality of door and emergency calls to locksmith. We installed another composite door from different company and it has no issues. Do not buy doors from Solidor!

Great experience…
I needed a new front door and ordered one through Solidor. I spoke to Rhea who talked me through all of my options and I finally agreed on what I wanted. The whole process was very smooth and the communication from Rhea was excellent. She kept me informed of delivery and fitting and everything went smoothly.
I love my door and would recommend Solidor and Rhea 100%
