Ricky Pascual

Ricky Pascual is the owner of this company and still owes us £700. We booked my sisters hen party in Marbella with him in 2020 for 2021 and paid a deposit of £600. Unfortunately we could not travel due to ths pandemic and the government not allowing us to travel. We were charged £100 by Ricky to transfer our trip to August 2022 which we happily did.
6 weeks before we were due to travel, Ricky stopped responding to my emails and were forced to book alternative accommodation and activities in Marbella. Ricky then contacted us out of the blue around 2 weeks before our trip saying he was sorry that he could no longer provide the trip and would refund the deposit we had paid.
After various different excuses, from his phone being hacked to his laptop being “lost” Ricky still hasn’t refunded our deposit.
Don’t know how he can sleep at night knowing he’s ripped people off!

Poor service and zero communication

I booked with this company to celebrate my birthday in Marbella with a group of friends. Our first activity was the life drawing and no one arrived. I contacted the company and when someone did answer I was told they would look into it and get back to me. No one called me back and they turned their phone off. Our return transfers also didn't arrive which left us panicked trying to get a taxi back to the airport. I've been contacting the company and no one answers or responds and we haven't been issuedna refund. Poor service will not recommend to anyone!

my daughters hen party to…

We booked my daughters hen party to marbella for July 2021 ,we choose our hotel and all the extras we had planned for her, everything was so simple and straight forward they offered advice and helped to make it perfect for her.
Then we had to cancel because of covid 19, we wasn't allowed to travel to Spain with them being in Amber and I couldn't thank Ricky and his staff enough for all his help and understanding through the cancellation, we were refunded our monies promptly ,we would definitely use his company again

Excellent service from start to finish

Excellent service from start to finish. Unfortunately our trip has been cancelled due to Covid, but the team have been brilliant and ensured we gained back as much money as possible. We will certainly be using Solisol Travel again in the future.

One star is to good for this company…

One star is to good for this company wish I could leave none.
Booked for 12 of us to travel for my friends hen do back in 2020 had to be cancel due to covid was told we couldn’t get a refund only option was to transfer to 2021 which we did to be cancelled again.(due to covid)

Really don’t understand why they have given some people refunds as stated on reviews below however we were told we couldn’t have one.

I am sorry I am unable to provide you with a refund relating to the non-refundable deposit paid to my company in August 2019 to secure a villa in Marbella for 3 nights. The villa was originally booked for May 2020 and rescheduled to Friday 04th June 2021 (ref 00509-6439).

On the 13th May 2021, approximately 3 weeks prior to your scheduled arrival you contacted us by email with the following:

“Hi Ricky,
I booked the above holiday with you back in 2019 which was cancelled due to covid19 at the time I asked if I could have a refund and was told no.
So the holiday was moved to June this year.
I have received no contact from your company re the current situation. As I understand we will not be able to travel on the 4th June as planned.
Could you tell me what my options are now as I note from Trustpilot you do offer refunds. Many Thanks

I replied to your email on the 16th May and explained in detail the current situation with travel to / from the UK and Spain as well as the situation with your booking. Unfortunately it was not possible to provide a refund.

Solisol Travel is not ATOL registered as this only applies to flights.
We do not arranges flights and it would be my clients responsibility to know whether they can travel to Spain to the location where we provide the service.

It is also their responsibility to contact us if their flights are cancelled and
to ask us my company any questions about their booking and not just rely on the Trustpilot website for information.

Over the past 14 months, what started out as a two week lockdown to flatten the curve has turned out to be a global mission to vaccinate the world population in a record time for summer.
I am sorry if the travel industry has closed down for the 2nd year running and the world governments are doing everything possible to destroy jobs, businesses and your holiday.

At the time of booking, we ask for a non-refundable deposit as this is required to pay the villa owners to secure the villa. This is paid to them shortly after you have paid us. My company is unable to provide a refund if you can not get to the villa and I explained all of this in my email.

The travel industry has always recommended everyone takes out travel insurance due to any unexpected events that may prevent you from traveling. It is on the UK government website and it´s also in my terms and conditions.

You did not reply to my email and you decided to give my company a 1 star review on here.

I apologise again for not being able to give you and your friends a refund or reschedule the booking. If it weren´´t for COVID, I would have been able to provide you with a 5 star service

Poor customer service from Solisol!

Booked in 2018 for 2020 - due to covid the holiday couldn’t go ahead - was told by Solisol the only option was to reschedule - so we were put under a lot of pressure to reschudule a hen party for some time in the future not knowing what was ahead!! We now realise they should have offered a FULL refund! In Feb this year I approached them as it was looking like we weren’t going to get out in May (our balance was due in Feb) - they said it was fine for them to go ahead with the booking and it was legal what they were doing but admitted if we got there then it would be illigal to go around in a group of more than 6 people - there were 15 of us!!!! So they were happy for us to do something illegal... after lots of back and forth they agreed that we could get a refund (a number plucked out of thin air) - I suggested everything but the deposit - I calculate a rough figure based on 16 ppl not 15 and didn’t realise until the refund came through ... they now refuse to pay the difference...(92.00) They believe their customer service starts at the point you get to Spain (not when they take your money to use their service) - they also accuse their customers of tricking them? And have said ‘there is no point speaking to our customers until borders reopen’ - sheer lack of empathy towards people. I get the industry is struggling but so are many individuals - I thought I’d found a half way mark and was being decent but they’ve thrown it back in my face. Absolutely disgusted by the service in the last few months and the tone used. I would strongly urge you to do you research and look around before booking with this company!

***I’ve seen Ricky’s response below. And it still baffles me that he has still not understood my complaint against his company. We accepted the loss of deposit - ive never disputed that - what I dispute is that his company still hold 92.00 of our money - that’s right 92.00!!! Not much for his company but someone in my party has lost out ... and why? Because he took my calculation (that I had to do because he pulled numbers out of thin air) - instead of doing his own calculations to determine what was a fair outcome - to date ive still not seen his breakdown. I’ve not accepted anything in full and final settlement, never received any documention setting out anything clearly. Always back and forth by email!! I don’t generally have the energy to pursue things and I’d have probably dropped this a while ago but the sheer lack of empathy and poor customer service needed to be addressed and so this review isn’t *fake* it’s 100% genuine and I have 14 other party members who could all jump on board too if we wanted to be awkward about it!! I think Solisol needs to accept poor feedback and use my case as an example of what not to do doing forwards!

Its actually disappointing that he has accused me now of
1. Telling him how to run his business! - I wouldn’t have the first clue so wouldn’t dream of it
2. Not Sharing the refund amount - I shared I got a refund...
3. Doing this in retaliation and calling me a bully!!! ... absolutely not - I’m doing this because it’s always been me reaching out to this company - they won’t call me to discuss - they do everything via email and clearly it’s not been effective as Ricky still can’t understand why I’m unhappy!! (This is probably the quickest response I’ve had from him too!!!)

I have full empathy for the travel industry - me along with many want it to thrive once again. THIS REVIEW IS ALL ABOUT THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Which as a consumer I’m well within my right to share.

I had a feeling Rachael would do this in retaliation to me sending her an email yesterday morning refusing her demands.

It is only fair I explain the situation to everyone seeing as I will have many existing and new customers read this and they are entitled to know the truth.

Rachael's booking (ref 00527-9163) was scheduled for the 1st of May 2020 and on the 08th February 2021 we received an email from her stating the following.

""Thanks for replying so soon. This is appreciated very much! I think our emails may have crossed paths. Again they keep going into my junk folder. We will accept the £1891.24 refund Thank you "

I agreed  the refund would be paid by the 31st April 2021 and we made the transfer on the 26th April for £1,894.24. After we sent Rachael an email confirming the refund she began criticising me and my company, demanding more money (£92.86) and telling me how to run my travel business during this pandemic. 

Rachael doesn't realise my company does not have the initial deposit paid in 2018 and it is the villas that have retained the non refundable deposit. We have refunded Rachael everything possible and it was agreed in February.  

Yesterday morning, I sent Rachael an email saying that I could not refund her any more and she should speak to a lawyer if she felt that she was entitled to more. 
Rachel has not shown any empathy towards my company and has resorted to giving my company a 1 star review in revenge for not getting more money from me.  Rachael failed to mention she received a refund of £1,894.24 from my company two weeks ago.

It is not illegal for me to offer a villa or other services for groups, but it is illegal for someone in the UK to go on holiday and there are many restrictions in place at the moment preventing travel. 
The service I provide (a villa) is in Spain and if you can not get to Spain there is no point me offering that service to new customers from the UK until the borders are open and until we know for certain this virus is gone.
Furthermore, I don't want anyone to book a holiday with me if they are not aware of the risks involved in travelling at the moment and your health may be at risk.

I have 15 years professional experience in the travel industry and I am up-to-date with ALL of the official news and laws in the UK and Spain
I will not be bullied by a customer's demands and I will get in touch directly with Rachael once I have spoken to my lawyers regarding these defamatory and incorrect comments made against my company Solisol Travel.

If you have an existing booking with Solisol Travel, please get in touch and we can discuss the next steps involved with your booking.

I will not bother getting fake 5 star reviews to hide Rachaels comments and I hope everyone takes the time to do some research before booking a holiday abroad.

Super helpful and seem to have great activities!

Unfortunately, we've had to cancel the stag do because of Covid - but Sonia has been super helpful throughout. The villas looked awesome, and she communicated really clearly and taking payment was simple. She also was really open and transparent throughout the whole Covid situation and did her best to help us make the right decision.

I arranged a Hen Do for 12 people to Marbella with Solisol for May 2020. I contacted Ricky about the Covid situation and how it could affect our holiday to which he was incredibly understanding and offered many options to try and help us and our holiday! Due to Covid we couldn’t go and eventually had to ask for a refund for the booking. The time and effort that Ricky put in to helping us get our refund deserves more than 5 stars!! I could not recommend this company more and I will be booking with them next year! thank you and see you next year.

As the main hen organiser

As the main hen organiser. Please ignore the bad review. The person who submitted this is a liar. Not one to air dirty laundry. But the 2 people in question, decided not to go as they didn’t want to quarantine and demanded a refund. It had Caused a lot of trouble within the group then demanded to go the week before (so could quarantine???) then to top it off stole the brides transport at the airport using my name. This list goes on and on. Back to this wonderful company. They have been nothing short of amazing. Rebooked the hen from June to September and had to endure many emails from me and then the other person. We managed to get the other 8 girls a very good refund. Not quite what they paid but with 2.5 weeks notice they’re were great. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again Sonia. You were fabulous xxx

Absolute integrity during Covid mayhem

I arranged a Stag Do for 12 people to Marbella with Solisol for June 2020. As soon as Coronavirus looked set to disrupt plans, I contacted Ricky and Sonia who were incredibly understanding and attentive, offering options to postpone and eventually refund the booking. I could not rate the customer service any higher, and the company showed absolute integrity in sorting a refund where so many other travel operators have withheld money - thank you guys and hope to re-book next year.

AMAZING company

Amazing company who were flexible and accommodating in supporting the organiser who was dealing with some very challenging party members - sadly 2 of which sole purpose seemed to be to want to cause upset and disruption with extremely childish and selfish behaviour ! Please disregard the 1* review- utter rubbish- and 1 of the aforementioned 2!
Solisol Thank you for everything -with regards to the alleged legal claim (which I doubt is as true as their review), if you need any screen shots of conversation where the claimant states they wanted a refund etc please let me know, I have them saved already!

Incredible company could not recommend them enough

I organised several hen do activities via Solisol and La Nueva Taberna. I could not have asked for a better service with the booking process and quick responses to all my questions from everyone. I booked a private room for 12 people at La Nueva Taberna for a 3 course meal with open bar and butler, a sparkling wine tasting at our villa and beauticians to come to the villa to give us each a treatment. Everything was faultless. The staff are so friendly and prompt and everything was at the highest standard. It really surpassed all my hopes (and my hopes were super high for my bestie bride).

I cannot recommend and praise solisol…

I cannot recommend and praise solisol highly enough. Fantastic company to book with. I booked my friends hen weekend and the girls were amazing from start to finish! fantastic communication throughout the booking process and helped with everything from transfers through to food for our villa!

Thank you so much for all your help the girls and myself will most definitely be using solisol in the future. Thanks for a great holiday!

Solisol helped me with some last minute cocktail making planning and also water park tickets. They were so helpful and really quick with their responses. Malaga Stag

Booked a stripper to arrive at the apartment on our last morning before heading home. The address where we were staying (booked with a different company) was changed short notice so I contacted Solisol via WhatsAp at the airport on the way out to relay the new address and I got a reply very quickly to let me know that they had changed the address on their systems and informed the stripper. The stripper was punctual for the agreed start time and even waited as the rest of us tried to locate the stag who as it turns out had actually run off. The rest of us enjoyed a good show.

Cheeky Butler experience

We hired a cheeky butler experience for 1 hour in marbella. He was very professional. It was a surprise for the bride and was a really fun, enjoyable experience. He was exactly on time. If you hire the cheeky butler experience or anything similar, please ask for Ivan/Iban. He was very good looking too!

Hen activity - Naked Life Drawing

Solisol Travel arranged a naked life drawing as an activity on my best friends hen party...it was amazing and such an easy booking booking process. The location was a private venue in Puerto Banus and the activity was great fun. Thank you so much!

Hen do party!

Amazing!!! Solisol travel were so helpful. Any questions or queries I had they were very quick to reply to and made sure everything was easy and simple to follow. They made organising a large group of 20 and activities in marbella easy and stress free. Thankyou and I will definitely be recommending solisol travel to all my friends and family.

Thank you Solisol, Superb

Great company to work with, as the best man organising a stag of 17 Solisol Travel were amazing, we had 2 drop outs and there were no problems getting a refund, we decided to do a last minute event and this was sorted 2 days before we arrived. The comms were great before and when we were there, there was a slight delay in one of our activities because of traffic but again we were kept informed so it wasn't an issue. I would definitely recommend the Marbella boat party, was great fun and meant we had a great stag.

Excellent service

I used the company to help me put together a three day set of activities. Cynthia was my agent who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and efficient.

The boat trip was for 14 people and 5hrs duration which included a free bar. The crew were excellent and the route was exactly what we requested

The restaurant was recommended by Cynthia and was stunning. Set in beautiful surroundings the Villa Mercedes provided views of the marina. This is a top end restaurant with tasty food and efficient service. An absolute delightful evening. The transfers were efficient.

Finally a booth at Ocean Beach again guided by Cynthia was outstanding. A fabulous experience.

So all in all a company that is friendly and efficient which I strongly recommend.
