SONY is PHONY

The playstation 5 controllers are the biggest piece of crap that I have ever seen.

After not even 2 years of use not only you get the stick drift, pressing the stick to sprint or run does not even work anymore.

For a 70 euro piece of hardware with bare to no usage this is completely unacceptable.

I have had an XBOX 360 for the past 20 years and I have never had this issues. Not to mention that my SONY TV that I bought back in 2015/2016 broke before 4 years and the replacement that they gave me (and that I had to pay for) broke a few days ago before 6 years.

I am definitely selling all my SONY crap and never buying from this company again.

My new TV is an LG, lets see how that holds up.

My next console is definitely an XBOX or Nintendo.

Bye bye PHONY for ever.

PS: They use LG chips in their TVs

crazy repair prices!!!

I just tried to repair a pair of headphones bought from Bol. I was asked 155 eur for replacing one of the hinges of a 200 eur headphone set. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Sony service but this definitely reflects on you. How is it possible to demand such a high price for this kind of repair? I'm sure you're trying to get the customer buying a new set, but I can assure you that this was the last Sony product I have bought. Unfortunately, Sony is not the brand it used to be some time ago :(

Lack of delivery assurance by Sony

We ordered a device from Sony.nl, but it was never delivered. After contacting Sony Customer Care, we were repeatedly told that an investigation with DHL was underway, yet over a week has passed with no resolution. We confirmed with our neighbors that the package was not misdelivered, but Sony continues to avoid responsibility stating that the investigation could take anywhere from a week to a month, without offering any clear timeline or solution. It's unacceptable that a company of Sony’s reputation would take payment without ensuring proper delivery or taking accountability when issues arise. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences we've had with an online purchase.

Order didn't arrive, they still took my money, and zero communication...

I ordered a camera a month ago and it just didn't arrive and the tracking on the website says "in work" while DHL tracking says "returned". The only communication was 3 weeks ago after multiple unattended emails, which said "we're going to inform you when we know more".
After waiting WEEKS, I wrote two more emails which have been left unanswered. How is that possible?? Does someone know the number of Sony.nl, because otherwise I am forced to initiate legal proceedings.

NEVER BUY SONY!

I have 2 identical headphones and 1 of them is not working properly. Bought via Coolblue.be, the headphone has been in repair 4 times (I suppose in Sony NL) So I've lost my device 4 times for 3 weeks and they're final response is to update the firmware of my iPhone and my macbook?
Also Coolblue does nothing (see CB review)

Sony cashback

To get my cashback for a lens I have to do a lot. As if Sony does not want me to do that.
The feedback is so bad that I am still waiting if I am successful or not. Sony change this procedure. There are many who think the same as I do

Terrible after sales support with PS5

My PS5 broke down just a few weeks after the 1 year warranty. Had to pay 270 euro in advance and send the PS5 to them. After 3 weeks of no communication I called them and all they can tell me is that they haven't received my package Even though they have the tracking from postnl and confirmed that I sent the unit there is nothing they can do and I should sit and wait until they receive the package.. I mean if you haven't got it after 3 weeks, there is a good chance that you won't anymore.. Now what? wait ..!? It's a replacement unit anyway. How about fixing the problem for someone who just paid an additional 270 euro after 14 months for a device that should work for at least few years?

STAY AWAY

Stay away from SONY, I bought TV for 1300 euro and after 4 years the TV stops working. so I contact the customer support and then they immediately say that the TV is broken and cannot be fixed and the only thing they can offer me is 80 euro discount ONLY if I agree to swap my "broken"TV with another TV which will cost me in the end around 800 euro in difference. While the newer TV value in market around 600 euro.
They also keep tell you to contact different departments and every time you do that they tell you to contact someone else.
Horrible company and the worst customer service ever! they do not give a ***** about you or the products they sell you.

Don't ever buy a SONY TV. The most expensive, very unreliable and with a too short lifespan

We were SONY supporters.
We bought our second Sony Bravia 5 years ago for 1800 euro.
Two months ago it had to be repair already: 450 euro of reparation performed by Sony and the TV is dead again less than 2 months after.
So sad witnessing your overall decline as a brand, not only in the TV market, but also considering the last PS for instance.
I don't know how you will regain people's trust, since I see I'm not alone.

Sony LED TV breaks down after 4,5 years

Bought a Sony Led TV beginning of 2016 (KD-55X8005C). TV fails after 4,5 years. After contacting Sony they hide behind factory warranty and presumably find it normal that such expensive devices fail after only 4,5 years. They offered me a replacement, but I basically had to pay for it myself.

There was a time Sony stood for quality products. Very disappointing!

Poorest excuse of after sales care ever.

Handed over my Xperia XZ Permium for a basic repair task: broken button, not functioning fingerprint reader and a failing speaker in the bottom. All known issues if someone opens up the forum and actually reads the article.
It was repaired under warranty, and communications seemed initially really good - within 10 business days the repair was done and the phone was sent back. Neatly packed, with instructions included and a list of details of what they repaired. So far it seemed like a top notch service delivered. This was until I unpacked, unwrapped and tested the phone. The back wasn't glued in straight, the corners forced in (signs of stress on the plastic). And the adhesive was not correctly placed causing the back to partially loosen itself. Then the next big surprise came when I turned on the phone - the screen was damaged (underneath the glass so this must have happened during re-assembly)....

I expected a bit more from an official representative of the SONY corporation in the Netherlands. Now it's been handed in for a second time, more than the initial periode has passed and I only received a status notification that "they have received the phone in good order and are starting to work on it".

This means that my phone is now long for 20 work days... unacceptable for a company like SONY.

Another thing that is beyond my believe - is that I have been warned to check the phone upon return in order to report any issues with it within the first 10 workdays - otherwise there will be no warranty on the repairs!!!! Who the hell comes up with this stuff?

Sony, in all honesty - I have been a long time customer in home entertainment, photography, gaming and telco - but if this is your way of dealing with the customers in the NL. Then it doesn't justify the price tag that you put on your premium line of products.

I am disappointed to say the least!

Unprofessional, no customer service, feels like a scam

We had a terrible experience when buying an expensive TV set (worth 2800 EUR) through Sony's official webshop in NL (sony.nl). See the timeline of what you could expect if you buy anything in this webshop:

- Just after the purchase I was unable to track the status of my order on Sony's online system. The links were broken. The tracking number that we got by phone from Sony's customer service was not recognized at all by the logistics provider (Dynalogic). From the beginning neither Dynalogic nor Sony had any idea of the status of the order.
- The automatic email that we got after the purchase said that we would be contacted within 3 days by the logistics provider to arrange for the delivery of the TV. We were never contacted and 1 week after the purchase we contacted Sony's customer service.
- During the following week we exchange several calls and emails with Sony's customer service. In every case the staff that attended us continuously failed to give us any information. Not only that but also continuously failed to call/email back when they said they would. At some point we were even told to try to sort out the problem with the logistics provider ourselves (!). My wife was nice enough to call herself several times to Dynalogic to just be told every time that our order was not in their tracking system.
- More than 10 days after the purchase we had absolutely no info as to when it would be delivered. Only after telling Sony's customer service that we wanted to cancel the order they admitted to us that the TV was lost. They also told us that we could not cancel the order until the TV would be found and that this could take 10 working days (!). I told them then that in that case I would exercise my right to return the TV as soon as it would be found. This didn't change their view that I could not "cancel" the order until the TV would be found.
- When the TV was finally found (just 1 day after I explicitely told them that I wanted to cancel) we told Sony's logistic provider (Dynalogic) that we did not want it any more and that we rejected the parcel. Thus the parcel never reached our home and we were told by Sony's customer service that we would be refunded "automatically".
- 10 days after we notified Dynalogic and Sony that we were rejecting the TV we had not been yet refunded nor contacted by Sony to explain the delay. I contacted at this point Sony's customer service to get information on the status of the refund and to remind them of the 14 days legal limit to refund our money. I never got a reply to this email.
- 14 days after the withdrawal notification I contacted by phone Sony's customer service. I was told that I would be contacted by email shorly. By email I was then informed that the TV got lost (again...) while being returned from Dynalogic warehouse to Sony's warehouse and that they could not refund me until the TV would be found ("probably" in a few days time). I emailed back explaining the legal requirement of 14 days to refund, and that since we never received the parcel Sony was responsible for the return of the TV and therefore there is no exception in the consumer law for the 14 days limit. I asked for confirmation that they received this email, but never got any.
- 15 days after my last email I called their customer service again. Literally the person on the phone told me that he had no idea why the money had not been refunded and that he would "reopen" the case. I guess for Sony.nl the case was already closed: they got the money and the TV so why not. I asked him to send me an email stating exactly what he told me on the phone, and he promised to do that right away. Of course I didn't get any email. I sent a reminder email, but didn't get any response to that either.
- It has been now 30 days since the withdrawal notification and it is becoming increasingly clear that Sony is planning to not return my money (or even return my emails) unless a court forces them to do so.
- FINALLY Sony.nl has refunded my cancelled order. I cancelled the order on January 23, 2015 and I have got my refund on March 13, 2015. Almost two months delay. According to the European consumer law an online retailer must refund a cancelled order within 14 days. But, aparently, for Sony both its consumers and the law are completely irrelevant.

Summary: Never again Sony. Not worth the risk.
