It is terrible for distribution. I was going to move from Distrokid and I kid you not, I will not be doing that and I will be cancelling my Soundcloud artist pro next year. They keep rejecting my art, even though I used my own photos for the art. They suggest you can release explicit and clean version of the same song and they then reject the clean version saying remove "clean" from description. No sense whatsoever. No response from the customer service either.

New uploading page is a mess - that grey cloud is loading forever just to show me their paid plan ad... Previous upload page version worked fast, fine and smooth, but now it's a nightmare.
In mobile browser desktop view mode green Upload button ofter is hidden (when you adding your audio, artwork, metadata - it won't scroll down to that button anymore!).
Mobile android app is trash - they only way I can go to my profile is by searching it! And I can't add tags there, plus many other things. Why I can't have same functionality in app as in mobile browser in desktop view mode? Why I must switch between mobile browser view modes / app each time I need to do something?
Mobile browser version also always driving me crazy - no features are available except of browsing/streaming only. All this nonsense exist for so many years and still not fixed.

My experience with this soundcloud for artists? Awful!
The first thing you need to know - if you want to contact with support, you need to wait 2 weeks to 1 month for answer. Second thing - i had a several problems with payouts. When the amount is low there is no problem with payout, when the amount is high they delaying a payout for 1 or 2 months and i had to text support everytime! Also, i had a problem with logging in. I was in inifinity refreshing loop and can do nothing with it. Deleting cache, history etc changed nothing, site wasn't working on any browsers. Of course you cannot contact with support because they changed submitting a request for AI chat bots...It feels like two people working in this company. Totally not worth it!
Edit: after this review immediately i got an answer from them. The banned my account without any specific reason. My money is frozen in account. I’m gonna Contact my lawyer

I purchased "Artist PRO" and was told i could "AMPLIFY" = (send my tracks to listeners) UNLIMITED TIMES.. However
when i try.. i get a Pop-up saying "You can only Amplify to tracks under 7 days old ??? WTF!
Which means you can only do it ONCE on NEW tracks ever!, So you have to keep making new songs for them, Also i never got PAID in 4 years, and i was never allowed Monetization my music Ever, i
believe this was because my tracks did well and they wanted to keep/steel my money, I gave my UPC of my release Album, my ISWC in a ticket, All ISRC per track.. So that they could see i am a 'Verified Music Artist' and my albums all over the internet contain these exact same songs & filled in all the request forms, everything, never left anything blank and STILL got refused Monetization everytime and NO REASON to why in 4 years.. LOL total joke... i had the last laugh.. REPLACED all my songs with "JIBBERISH SOUND" then i was going to delete my account, but thought no... "lets see if i get banned instead" Had enough of being treated like Sh!t ..and its to late for them to change as everyone else has caught on :)

Horrible service - DO NOT BUY
Horrible service- that is, taking over 2 weeks to reply. The distribution doesn’t work properly- meaning in your song does NOT get sent to where it’s supposed to. Also, it is impossible to log in to SoundCloud for artist on iPhone. Go ahead try it! You get put into an endless loop that’s asking you to create an account. Don’t write reviews often but hopefully this reaches you and you go with distrokid or something reliable.

SoundCloud does what it says on the tin. There are 1 star reviews on this site that are totally untrue and were either posted by idiots or by chumps who just like to N'yam! All my experiences with the site have been ...well 5 star. It's a simple User Interface that a small child could use.
There is one thing that I ponder however and that is, when it comes to SC sharing your track with other users for seven days, the number of listens always seems to level off at approximately the same amount.
Has any smart arses got an idea why this might be?
Horrible and no customer service
Year by year they became so bad, is full of scammers and fake profiles, it even became very expensive and with an horrible skin, not intuitive anymore as at its begin, and last but not least: is impossible to contact someone! I want to report a scammer that insult people he scammed leaving comments to their tracks, then he wrote privately insulting and menacing, but is impossible to find any way to contact the customer service, there is only a bot chat that is completely useless and on 2025 is a shame still use that bot that is useless since when has been created.... there is no way to talk to a human or to find a clear customer services address to talk to someone! My opinion? Sites that hide themselves from be contacted by customers or that make it very difficult as almost impossible, should be shut down!!! Any site should be forced by law to provide clear contacts, I'm really fed up with the fact that many sites hide themselves and is impossible to contact them

If you log out your account, you won’t be able to log back in. Customer service is shocking was no help whatsoever. Not even worth the hassle. Don’t log out or get a new phone if u want to loose everything 🤷♀️ poor app.
Terrible customer service
paid for soundcloud go+, however something went wrong since I didnt have soundcloud go+ on my account. contacted customer support, took them 2 weeks to reach back, then they replied with 'have you tried signing out and in again'. I like soundcloud but the customer service is terrible. I do not recommend buying soundcloud go+, since you'll have to wait a 1 month+ before you can actually use it.
Amazing streaming service.
Soundcloud has proven to be so beneficial for making music. It is honestly sad how many low ratings this great website receives. Unlike Spotify and basically every single other music streaming service, Soundcloud lets you post songs without needing a distributor, which saves a ton of money. They also have other features that allow your music to be recommended to people who listen to your style of music. Also, Soundcloud has a reposting feature, which allows artist who want to support you to essentially promote your song on their profile.
Uploading has never been easier, and I would highly recommend this website for all music.
Absolute joke
Absolute joke. They take your money, you will find yourself trying to distribute tracks but they constantly find a way to reject them, even if you made them all by yourself. It is my original music, i am the vocalist, i wrote the lyrics, I played the guitar, I did the recording, there are no other people involved yet they constantly find ways to not upload my song, to not let it be distributed.
This is disgraceful considering its all my own work. I am the sole creator. Choose anyone else. You will waste hours on trying and days waiting only to have them repeat the same knockbacks.
Not worth a cent, useless and there is non existent help you can not get any help from their so called ticket service no matter how many times you try.
Run there are many other places that are better, i will be looking into them.
Horrible Customer Service
I have been a member of Soundcloud for years. I quit making music for a couple of years. During that time, soundcloud updated their membership options. I came back to find some of my tracks had comments turned off, which I never did myself. You have to purchase the highest level subscription to be able to turn comments on and off. I asked for help and they refused. They said if I wanted to turn them back on, I had to buy the highest level subscription. Which is dirt in the face when I never turned them off myself. Seems like a scam to me.

Soundcloud used to work
Soundcloud used to work - now they have found something to justify their employees' existence and have changed the format so it no longer works. You could run out of oxygen trying to upload a track these days, despite claims the change now makes it super easy. It isn't. Like all platforms that carry a burden of staff who need to justify their existence and so redesign everything that works so that it does not, the system now asks questions at every juncture. I uploaded a 6min track only to be advised it was "too short". You now need two-stage verification to access your site. Drop and drag images don't upload - you have to open a file on your PC and select them, it seems. As for customer services, they used to respond quickly. Three weeks later with tracks I uploaded "still processing" on my site and no response, despite two emails to them. I got a standard response saying they had a lot of tickets and would respond when they could. So, not at all, it seems. I had to delete the tracks and start again. And so at 3.2am, I am writing this while my track cannot be uploaded because at 6min, it is "too short" - and another I tried to upload and deleted when it got stuck halfway is now showing as still uploading and I cannot upload anything else until it is finished, even though it no longer exists on my site, except in SoundCloud's mind. Whoever redesigned the site to make it "easier" did what all programmers do - they think being over-clever will earn them Brownie points at work and never mind the UX for those who are really paying their wages ie us. Really annoying and no customer services at all, apparently.

I don´t understand why the rating for SoundCloud is so low in here? Personally, I am super satisfied with it using it. Its easy to use and you can do all kinds of things in it.
