Soundsnap Reviews

Unlimted great choice
Never have any trouble finding the right sound for a project.
Great website/layout for browsing too.

Great sound library. Sometimes a bit difficult to find what I am looking for.

The quality of the sounds is outstanding, and the ease of search is perfect too. It made my life so easy on the past few sound design gigs I had.

Amazing website. Sound effects packs can be incredibly expansive for what you actually need when you don’t own a professional studio. The concept of being able to buy individual sounds is really nice and the sound library is fantastic! When I can’t find what I need from freesound.org (which is more often than not) I always come back here.

I like the fact that I was able to download the sounds as wave files and I didn't have to convert them like other programs I've used

I came across this website through a YouTube recommendation, and I was so excited to find so many specific types of sounds and the pricing for these sounds to be placed in your library forever, are a steal!

High-Quality Sounds and lots of variety of options. Streamlined, minimalist website is easy to navigate. After searching through endless low-quality sounds on shady sound sites, finding Soundsnap was a relief.

I use sound samples to create sound-scapes for young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties, so when we learn about "woodland", they can hear, as well as feel the environment. Sound is such a vital part of their experience, so thank you to all your contributors.
Also, having a link to the sound creator is awesome.
Cheers.

Found some very useful guitar power chords except for a couple of chords that I couldn't find and needed, which was frustrating trying to match sounds from different providers. So if I had a suggestion upload all the chords for consistency and use a generic tag that makes finding them easier. This a great service and I am prepared to pay for the samples so would appreciate more choices, cheers Peter

Great product! Awesome SFX

This site has everything I need and everything is of the highest quality and excellence.

I can't always find exactly what I'm looking for, but Soundsnap makes it easy by not requiring a subscription to purchase sounds. I'm not always in need of them, so it's way more economic for me and that's what has brought me back time after time.

Lots of great sounds

It is a very nice experience having this library of sounds, I think every sound editor needs to use it, it has a wide variety of sounds.

So, sound snap has a bit of everything but not a lot of anything. It's a great buy for a newer sound designer who just needs their first big library! That being said, for $200 a year, if you already have all the basics, you're better off investing in a boutique library.

I love the libraries, though there are holes in what's available and I think the search functionality could be massively improved. Even something simple like "modify search" would be huge. There could also be better ways of filtering or organizing results.

I love Soundsnap, has a great variety of sounds and they are all high quality.

Huge library, well catalogued, excellent quality and fast website. My first choice.

you say free ! but no ..
