Stay away from that scammer
Absolutely disgraceful treatment from Splend after being with them for 2 years. I never missed a payment, never had any PCN issues, kept the mileage low, and always looked after the vehicle responsibly. But the moment a very small incident happened, all loyalty meant absolutely nothing.
The Splend vehicle itself had basically no damage, and the third-party vehicle only had a small black tyre mark that could literally be wiped off with a cloth. Yet they still tried charging me close to £1,000.
To make things even worse, after I returned the vehicle, they sent me a separate damage report charging £705 for repairs that realistically could be done for around £150–£300. The pricing feels completely excessive and unreasonable.
After 2 years of being a reliable customer, paying on time, keeping low mileage, and causing no problems, I expected fairness and professionalism. Instead, it feels like they are just looking for excuses to take money from drivers.
Be extremely careful before signing with Splend because even the smallest incident can turn into a huge financial headache. Very stressful, unfair, and disappointing experience.

After reviewing the inspection report completed with you at the Splend Hub, several areas of damage were identified on the vehicle, including the offside front, front registration bracket, driver’s side, rear, and nearside sections of the vehicle. These damages were not present at the start of the contract and were documented during the inspection process.
As outlined within the agreement, charges are applied where repairs are required to return the vehicle to the same condition and standard in which it was originally provided.
We always aim to ensure our inspection and charging processes are transparent and fair, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
