I ONLY give my business to honest people/businesses/company's, and I'm proud to do business with Spokeo because they've been 100% honest about everything. 💯🎉

Every time I've called them (more than several times now over the years) they not only quickly responded to my issue, BUT ALSO made me feel like a valued customer/client, even though I was a pain in the gluteus maximus. I, *like many others I see on here, rushed and didn't take the time to read their agreements fully, and was taken aback at 1st when I'd failed to cancel, YET THEY'VE NEVER ONCE POINTED OUT "WHAT MORON DOESN'T READ THEIR CONTRACT/AGREEMENTS", ?!??
Instead? Each of the times I'd call and ask for a refund and cancellation of my subscription, they were swift, kind, and generous, when they could've told me to go blow it out my.. well..😂 ahem. They could've told me that I was at fault, which I was, BUT, instead they earned my respect as an honest business - treating their clients/customers with mountains of respect and courtesy, to which I immediately went to my Google review page and let the world know. ✍️🤓🤳

Now, Spokeo's "review/reply" person? Stop copying and pasting the same response over and over, and take the 2 minutes to respond to each review with your own thoughts and words. *Even if you have to "P.S." any legal stuff. Giving the job to different people in customer service on a trial basis is a great idea, because they SERIOUSLY ROCK!
Please don't make anymore generic responses because there are not SO many each day/week/month that you are too swamped to handle responding Well and Uniquely to each, (even the 1 stars😒☺️) and you'll see an IMMEDIATE difference. 💪😉

Subscription scam. I have been charged 29.95 every month despite having cancelled a subscriptionI didn't agree to. Still being charged, even though my account says I don't have an active subscription. This has been going on since December. So $120 down the drain so far.

I signed up for only a trial they stole money

I signed up for only a trial, paid the $5.95 for it. All of the sudden they charged me $29.95. I contacted them to say I want a refund I didn't authorize you taking more money from me. They said they couldn't give back the full amount of $29.95,I argued they finally gave me the money back. I removed all my cards from my PayPal and Then they took out $26.57, I argued again, they returned it. I got that back and they took $14 and change. I finally had to lock my credit cards and still they kept trying to take money. They claim it wasn't happening even after I showed them they claimed they can't even find my acct so it wasn't happening according to them

There's no viable way to cancel a trial…

There's no viable way to cancel a trial subscription. The email links do not work, the email address that is provided is returned as undeliverable, and when I call the provided 888 number to cancel, within the stated business hours on Pacific Time (and they should be open 4 more hours) the automated message says I've called outside their business hours. So I'm sure I"ll get a billing that I'll have to turn around and dispute on my credit card. I can't believe in 2026 this is my experience. I'll never do business with this company again (and the info they provide is pretty poor as well....) Now that I have their response, the email address they provide in the response is not the email that was given on their page. So apparently they need to update their page? At any rate, I got the cancellation to take, but I shouldn't have had to jump through the hoops that I did, and if they are going to post hours to answer the phone, they need to answer the phone during those hours--or change the hours on the website.

I was one of those user who thought I…

I was one of those user who thought I was using the site for a once only visit. After seeing that I was, in fact, being charged monthly, I called and was transferred to a representative who quickly ended my subscription. I couldn't have been more pleased with the way in which things were handled.

Used for work

I use this service for work to verify addresses and phone numbers. I find that 95% of the time the information is accurate and up to date. Many of the times when the information isn't current the people moved within the prior month.

Inaccurate info and attempted theft

None of the info I received was current. I declined the 7 day trial, but Spokeo tried to charge me for it. They attempt to steal from people in this manner so frequently, my bank automatically stop the transaction and froze my card.
Also don't trust Trustpilot. The majority of Spokeo reviews are 1. Mathematically it's impossible for their Trustpilot score to be a 2.5. It's much lower.

Nice lengthy canned response. They haven't changed since their $800,000 settlement in 2012. Years of crooked behavior.
