My mum who has dementia took a fall recently and realised it was time to urgently get a stairlift. In a time of difficulty and thinking nothing could go right, someone was looking down on me when I found stairliftexpress on the internet. From the first point of contact from Hannah in the office, who moved heaven on earth to schedule a fitting before Christmas, to the incredibly experienced and genuinely nice guy Graham who installed the lift. To see my mums face shine and the relief for myself as a carer to have one step forward for a change was incredible. You genuinely make a difference to people’s lives with what you do. Highly recommended.

Broke my foot quite severely so needed a stairlift as a matter of urgency, Gary (Consett office) pulled all the stops out to have one fitted within 2 days , exceptional service, Graham came and installed on the Monday all working a treat at a fantastic price, would highly recommend the Consett team of StairliftExpress

I contacted Stairlifts express 13/10/2025 , the team
sent through a choice of available products then took the time to profesionally guided me through the best product option for the application, the team then arranged an installaiton the very next day. The starlift was installed just before lunchtime 14/10/2025 by a professional team who then tested and instructed on product use. I would not hesitate to recommend or further endorse the service levels.

The stair lift was a must, with out it I would never of managed to get up the stairs. The Stairlift engineer's were brilliant, no fuss, no mess. The chair itself, first class and quite.

Made enquiries regarding a reconditioned stairlift required for my in laws just before Christmas 2024. The stairlift was installed just after New Year and is being used to its fullest capability. The whole experience was simple, the information provided excellent and the fitting quick, efficient and professionally done. I would recommend the use of these guys to anyone who requires a stairlift.

I was only arranging and assisting my friend get a stair lift, but I was so impresased with the service we received I had to give praise where praise is due.

From start to a quick finish at every stage I was made to feel like I was dealing with a small family run business (which I later found out is indeed true) who really cared about giving their very best, Ben and his young side kick could not have done more for a very "challenging customer", without the slightest negitive feedback.

The price and attention to detail you cannot fault, pleased don't hesitate to contact them if you require either a new or very good second hand stair lift.

From enquiring to instalation Hannah and staff was very helpful and reassuring, Ben rang to inform what time they would here to install the stairlift, excellent service very helpful even sorting a problem that was not connected on there part, can't recommend them highly enough I ordered a reconditioned stairlift but to be honest it looks like new very pleased, I think being a small family buisness makes all the difference. I'm not too prone to give reviews, however in this case I feel I should. Had a lift installed some time back, and very good no issues at all. Since then I have had to contact them a few times for some info and advice. Their response has been 1st class, really helpful and quick to respond. In short real people who give a dam and professional. Unusual this day and age, Thank you.

I ordered a stairlift for my mother last week and it was fitted today. There were a number of options dependant on the and age required. We opted for a fairly old reconditioned stairlift, but quite frankly the lift we had installed looked brand new. The installers were just lovely and put my mum’s mind at rest straight away. The price includes a full 18 month parts and labour warranty and a free service the end of the 18 months. I can’t recommend this small family firm enough, from the first phone call right through to installation.

I had two brilliant technicians install my stairlift today graham and Ben I think his name was they were friendly professional and fast they talked me through using the stairlift and how it charges at certain points I’m so grateful because this has given me back my independence something I thought I wouldn’t get back so a really big thank you from the bottom of my heart Thank you

I needed a stairlift quickly for my parents. I was dreading the traditional sales person from the OEM companies. I spoke to a few on the phone, and the moment they said ‘they had an offer on at the moment’ my heart sank. Surely that old ruse and approach has had its day! Anyway, I spotted these people selling nearly new gear and contacted them. Straight away it was like talking to a normal person. They knew their stuff, what they were offering, how much, and how long it would take (less than 10 days). So I went with them for a <1 year old lift that was a third or a quarter of the new price, with an 18 month warranty (OEM gives 12 months) and a free service at 18 months. Installation was to the letter, and after a couple of days when a minor gremlin had developed they came to make an adjustment with no fuss within a couple of days. The guy who fitted it was very pleasant and friendly and did a good job.

All in all I was very impressed with this company, in an industry that seems to be still dominated by OEM salespeople from yesteryear.

I can not rate STAIR LIFT EXPRESS highly enough. If you require a stairlift go no further, much better than the multinational companies on the market. My stairlift was installed from start to finish with no problems whatsoever. I give a 10 out of 10 rating.

Technician Mark installed one of your reconditioned systems yesterday. He was polite, friendly, very efficient and explained all the controls and functions. The equipment was as described, the installation neat and tidy and the price was reasonable. I can wholeheartedly recommend Stairlift Express.
