This company is involved in scamming and trying to steal people money. They have been trying to steal my money by charging my card for the last two years and I have NEVER used their service. I called customer service and explained that I had been for asking for over two years to cancel whatever account they have for me. This weirdo blocked my number and literally just attempted to charge my card again about ten minutes ago. If I find out who the owner of this company is he’s definitely getting sued!

Avoid if you print in volume.

We signed up as a fire department to mail our sponsorship letters. We were not able to print anything for numerous days. We followed all of their troubleshooting steps, called tech support which said "We are currently experiencing issues with some customers printing stamps" for several days, finally we made it through to customer support. We spent over an hour troubleshooting the issue. They blamed it on anti-virus software on a single computed although we tried it on three of our department computers that just ran standard Microsoft antivirus and it would not work. Anytime we tried printing envelopes it would just spin. The tech support team came to the determination that you should only print up to five different addresses at a time. Clearly if you are looking for a time-saving platform, this is not it.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration. We understand how critical reliable printing capabilities are and we apologize that the recommended troubleshooting steps did not resolve your issue. Your feedback about the envelope printing spinning and the limitation of printing only a small number of locations at a time is especially important. We understand that you rely on our platform to save time, and we regret that your experience did not reflect that expectation. Thank you again for your candid feedback. If you're open to it, we'd like to troubleshoot this further for you with a senior technician. Please contact us at social@stamps.com so we can set up a callback. -Sincerely, Paul

Hi Tad,

We appreciate your feedback and regret to hear that our service didn't meet your expectations. We believe our pricing is competitive as we support the discounted USPS Commercial Base rate for packages and the discounted USPS Metered Rate for letters.

We understand that pricing is an important factor, and we’re sorry to hear that the Stamps.com monthly fee hasn’t felt like a clear savings for you, especially when compared to your shipping costs.

We’re always looking for ways to add more value and make our service worthwhile for every customer. With  Stamps.com , you can save time, print postage online, avoid time-consuming trips to the Post Office, buy and print postage using your computer and printer, access all USPS mail classes and services including Certified Mail, and receive postage discounts you can’t get at the Post Office. You're also saving a ton of money when you use  Stamps.com  instead of a meter machine: https://www.stamps.com/postage-meters/hidden-costs/  We believe the monthly fee provides good value for customers who need to print not only just Priority and Priority Express Mail shipping labels, but also Shipping Labels for other classes (such as Ground Advantage) and shipping services (such as UPS), NetStamps, and postage printed directly on envelopes.

Sincerely,
Paul

They make it hard as hell to cancel. It's pretty much impossible from the app. It's just circular "are you sure you want to cancel" over and over again.

Don't waste your time or money

They offered a 'free scale' which never came in, they don't seem to disclose the price you'll pay for stamps until you actually print them, so I don't know if it's even a deal or not. Most importantly they signed my company up for a $21/month program that I never used nor saw we signed up for. It's 2026, I've seen adult content websites that are less sleazy than how Stamps.com treated us.

Hi Jessica,

Thank you for your feedback. You would not have to log in or close your account in order to request a refund. Our Support Teams are available via email, phone, and chat and offer support regardless of your account status or ability to log in. In regard to why you were billed, we bill at the end of the cycle, and we show that you were billed at the end of the cycle for January 13, 2026 to February 13, 2026. We do not bill after you cancel per se; it is a charge for the cycle you were in when you cancelled. Rest assured that we have refunded $21.20 to your credit card. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. -Sincerely, Paul

They are awful, businesses beware

They are awful, and honestly if I could give them a zero star I would. I rely on my shipping to continue my business, it's a part of entire business model. This past summer I had horrible issues with glitches in their platform, I spent hours on the phone with customer service. I was able to talk to someone in customer service, but being honest, know one wanted to actually help me. So I cut off the relationship, and swear I closed the account. So randomly in October of 2025 they just started billing me again, which should be illegal. I am now working on my year end stuff and realized they never closed the account, but didn't charge me between July and October, but in October decided to start charging me again. Honestly, your platform sucks, your people suck, and I'm surprised you get any good reviews. I would highly recommend a different carrier if your business relies on sending packages.

This appears to be a SCAM COMPANY

This appears to be a SCAM COMPANY. I clicked on a trial a while back and then was automatically charged $22.67 as I just found out today on my credit card! And they've done it twice already! My user ID is yarkadin78. I need a FULL REFUND as I never used stamps.com for anything. I sent a message online but got back an AI response and an automated message about my account persisting until the beginning of March even after canceled! It is February 7th as I write! This means that I will be charged a THIRD TIME. The website is buggy with empty popups and shows a cancellation date of "1969"! What the hell? I need this account closed ASAP! I already have two request IDs open: #9291243 and #9291221.

Hi Saint-Joseph,

Thank you for contacting Stamps.com. We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our fee structure. We hear your concerns and we fully disclose our fees before any account can be created. We don't advertise or offer a free or pay-as-you-go service, and as disclosed and explained during registration, we do charge a $20.99 monthly fee after the 4-Week Trial Period. Rest assured that we have refunded $22.75 to you today. We have closed your account.

The fee we charge gives you access to services of the Post Office and the license to print official U.S. postage. It’s a flat fee that is not determined by how much postage you print. Stamps.com is a vendor licensed by the USPS, and all paid postage goes directly to the Post Office. In order to offer our standard service, we do charge a monthly subscription fee, as stated in our Terms of Service: www.stamps.com/conditions

We never charge people without their full agreement during our online registration process.  Our service fee is not based on usage or activity.  The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer.  Our service is a monthly subscription service so it’s not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.

Hi Dylan,

Thank you for your feedback and rest assured that we refunded $20.99 as a courtesy on 1/19/26. We apologize for any misunderstanding. The $1.00 transaction you are seeing is a temporary hold called an "authorization" or "auth" and will not go through as an actual charge. This places the funds on a temporary hold while we wait for the credit card company to verify the information on file. The authorization drops off your credit account within 72 hours for most banks, although for some banks it could take up to 30 days.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our fee structure.
