Had a great experience
Had a great experience. Applied via a fb promotion for help to buy with windows and arranged an appointment with Penicuik windows. Price was a little high so we left it at that. We were then contacted by St Andrews Home Improvements salesman Colin was a nice genuine guy from trade department with a take it or leave it price. Price was good we got finance fine then cancelled as I got a better rate with another company. Then had to pay a 10% deposit as a cash payment now. There was very little paperwork/ phonecalls for the whole job which was a slight concern but all went well. Ordered on 26th Nov Windows fitted 20th Dec by 2 teams from Job Worth Doing, great fitters very professional, clean, tidy and slick. Special mention to John for taking the utmost care over our bay window. Paperwork signed and Job checked over. Great service for the end of year and so close to Christmas. All promises were met and we are waiting on our savings card which comes with the windows. Thank you for such a diligent professional service I will recommend this company to anyone as there is a great finish on all 8 windows in and out.

Had my old drafty windows replaced and…
Had my old drafty windows replaced and am very pleased with the new ones. It's much more comfortable now - less noise, no drafts and the new windows do look great.
One problem though is it took much longer than I was initially told by the salesman (whose pitch went on for hours - be warned!) - the original installation date was pushed back a week (not by weather but other jobs overrunning I presume) and the scaffolding was called off but not rearranged. The guys arrived but couldn't do any work and the next slot wasn't for another three weeks. The scaffolding then went up two weeks before the work actually started, blocking my neighbours as I'm on the top floor which was not ideal to say the least.
Despite this the guys who installed the windows (Team 29 is all I've got noted) did a great job, were friendly, tidy and got all the work done in a day. All the mess was removed and where some plaster round the windows had come off St Andrews sent out a plasterer to fix this which was done promptly and professionally.
Overall very happy with the windows and the guys doing the work but the delays and miscommunication by the management let them down.

Since my last review already been a whole week, the online customer services replied to the last review. fast to apologize and that's all.
Called phone customer services they said a manager will call me back it has now been over a week with nothing happening.
I would suggest no one makes full payment until the work is complete. And all the mess tidied up.
At the moment, my garden looks like a dump, and the guy damaged part of my garden wall that he said he would get fixed. I think this is going to be the worst Christmas.
I will contact my solicitor tomorrow find how to get partial payment back.

They were fantastic and very quick. The weather conditions were not very suitable and did a super job at clean up . Very rainy and windy but they continued to work through and finished in time that was given. Our experience with them was great and would defiantly have that team do any work for us again . We had 9 windows and 2 doors installed.

Easy to work with company that delivered what was expected
Easy to work with company, who arrived when they said they would.
The installer was called Barry Mcilwraith and he was very friendly, took all rubbish away and was a very tidy worker.
Pleased with my door, although I do have a small issue but the company have agreed to return on the 18th of December to follow up on my issue.

After initial confusion about the…
After initial confusion about the starting date due to scaffolding not having been ordered by the surveyor and the first offer to come back a week later the job got started a few days later and the work was carried out very efficiently and courteously. No complaints about the standard of craftmanship and the windows have made a big difference to the heat in the home.

Great windows dodgy financials
We recently replied to a facebook advert about discounts on replacement windows, within a minute a female called and said she could book a surveyor in to give us a quote. The appointment would only take one hour and there would be no problem if we didn't want to take the quote, when asked which company the surveyor was coming from she said Wetherseal.
The day of the appointment a salesman ,not a surveyor, turned up he made himself comfortable and gave his sales pitch. We made it quite clear we were not in a position to pay a deposit but he was comfy so called his boss to ask him to add his tuppence worth. His suggestion was that we take out a credit agreement that way we wouldn't have to pay a deposit. We told him we didn't want a credit agreement and were quite happy to pay in cash but we didn't have the cash at the moment. He said he would reduce the price if we signed the agreement and agreed to the sale. It was a quite lengthy conversation. After the salesman had sat in our couch for 4 hours ( remember it was a surveyor appointment for one hour) we agreed on a price.
The next day a surveyor turned up seemingly for a 40 minute appointment which lasted over two hours and I got his life history, we agreed on the format for the windows.
The window fitters turned up at 8.30 on the duly appointed date were clean and efficient and did a good job. When they went away I noticed that one of the windows hadn't had seals fitted to the outside sills, a five minute job. In the meantime I had a call from the sales team saying I qualified for a discount and would I like any more work done, thanks but not at this time I said. I told them about the missing sill ends and they said we 'll get someone on it. The windows were completed on the 18th Oct, on the 25th Oct I called head office and spoke to a female, who I've nicknamed Female I'll call you back in five minutes, to pay in full. She gave me the bank details and I paid by faster payment and confirmed that the contract with Shorebrook Bank would be cancelled.
Since that happened I've had six calls asking how happy I was with the windows, did I want anymore work done, could they send out a surveyor etc., each time I pointed out that these two little sill ends had still to be fitted. Yawn!!!!!! By this time I was getting bored repeating myself!
Fast forward to the 22nd and Shorebrook took out an instalment out of our account, I duly cancelled the direct debit as we had already paid for the windows in full. I called and spoke to "Female 5 minutes" and she said they would sort it out........still waiting.
We've had so many calls asking if we will buy any more products from them but now not a chance. I would have given them 5 stars based on the work alone, but due to dodgy financial dealings they are lucky to get two.
They confirmed at the time we paid them that they also had received the balance in full from Shorebook. The salesman came from St Andrews, the surveyor and fitters came from Job Worth Doing, the contract came from Clearwin. Now we have a credit agreement on our credit report for a sale that we had paid in full by bank transfer. They seem to have an endless flow of companies. Make your own mind up. Our contract number is L005486 If anyone would like the full cost and pictures of our windows I will be more than happy to provide them. They have said I'll get a £10 amazon gift card as a thank you for my review, not holding my breath.
Missing sills fitted today. Fitter was in the house 4 minutes! But still no refund from Shorebrook!
Replacement velux windows.
Excellent communications from beginning to end, work completed by Andrew and Kenny, very clean, efficient and friendly. Will get a call when next lot of replacements are considered.

House transformation.
Recently had six new sash windows fitted. I was extremely pleased with the excellent standard of finish and workmanship. The transformation of the appearance of the house is wonderful. The friendly fitters were also very clean and tidy and used dust sheets.

Windows
Mr Wylllie and his team have been at my home for the last 3 days, they have been exceptionally professional, helpful and courteous. The Windows are great they were very tidy dust sheets as appropriate and treated the home with respect. Only issue is one of the Windows have been measured wrongly so we have a boarded up window at the front of the house this certainly was not the fitters fault. Great work would happily recommend once my final window is installed.

Firstly the Sales Person told us that our new blinds we were just about to get fitted would fit our new windows so we proceeded to pay £500+ on new blinds for our house. Then when it came to the day to get the windows fitted I had turned my house upside down for the workers to get easy access to the windows to make it easier for themselves then 30 minutes before they said they would arrive someone from the office called and said that someone had called in sick and they wont make it today - understandable but not happy been told such short notice. I had to wait another 2 weeks after this - not my fault someone was sick. After got windows done all seemed okay until I went to put my blinds up on my new windows and they were too big - as you can imagine I was very angry - called St Andrews Home Improvement customer helpline day 1 - told someone would call me back that day - no one called. Day 2 called again - told someone would call in next hour - no one called. Day 3 after leaving it for few days incase someone would called, I called again and was asked to explain the situation and they would email the sales team to contact me , a week past and nothing. Called again very very angry by this point explained situation person on the phone not helpful at all asked to speak to a manager turns out he was a manager !!!!! he was so unhelpful and once again said he would speak to the sales manager who would then speak to the sales person who said out blinds would fit. 2 MONTHS AFTER and I still haven't heard back from this company - I have paid off my windows and its as if I don't matter anymore because they have got my money. I had to pay for new blinds out of my own pocket, overall - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -
I have not received any private message as stated below please send again.

Contract - L006935.
It's now 4 WEEKS since I had 6 windows installed. Still waiting on the 6th one to be installed properly! Despite numerous calls & emails, I just get told that it will be passed on to Installation. Jim Leslie is ignoring my calls - I've left 4 voicemails but NOTHING!!
Anyone else using this company - Do NOT pay the full balance if there's a problem. I so wish I had held back £1000. I no have no option but to go to Trading Standards & the newspapers.
