great value and work done neatly and efficiently

Any good reviews about this company on here refer to the fitters who installed the windows/doors, but they are not actually part of the company StAndrewsHomeImprovements, they belong to their own companies who are just contracted by StAHI to fit the products. So, if you order products from StAHI you might not get the same fitters/company to do your house.
StAHI themselves went into administration (2017 I think), so if you bought your windows/doors before then you can forget about the "10 year guarantee" that you thought you had. We bought ours in 2014, and a main window has failed. I phoned StAHI only to be told they are now a new entity (but with the same name, same address etc!!!) and no longer fulfilling any previous guarantee promises. BEWARE!!!!!! This company is not a member of any recognised Glazing Federation, and you are leaving yourself unprotected and exposed to a very suspect company if you dare to engage with them!!!!

i Have just had my front windows replaced and i am very pleased with them.
The two fitters from Job Worth Doing that came to install the windows were brilliant. Dale and Ross (contract no:L003433) were polite and explained everything to us. they were very clean when working and made sure everything was hoovered and tidyed before they left.
Would use St Andrews again.

Pleased with my 8 windows and two doors. Fitters used dustsheets everywhere possible and hovered at the end. Would definitely recommend. Thank you

Bit worried with mixed reviews hope proven wrong

I mistakenly accepted a home visit from these guys. Quickly worked out that I was not interested and have since been bombarded with phone calls from them. We've been asked to be removed from their list 4 times now and not seen any response.

Utterly awful!

i have been pleased with work done recently by St Andrews/St Helens
Glass. I had an old conservatory dismantled and a replacement installed.
I had two windows and french doors replaced. The workers from "Job
Well Done " have all been excellent, helpful and clean workers.
The job numbers were LC 000110 Scott and Reece. T008685 C Deans
and C Cathcart. I do think there is room for improvement in the sales
promotional side, the telephone communication seems to carried out by
young men who do NOT pause for breath , and are hard for an elderly
person to understand.The practical work done was excellent.

Superb service start to finish Barry and Andy were great, very helpful and always tidied up left a neat finish on everything and explained everything thoroughly can’t comment on guarantee etc as just installed today.

I will give a true review when the job gets finished. Door ok, but can't use it as we are still waiting for the steps to be done.

He was clean and tidy when working and made sure it was all cleaned up after he finished and before he left.
He made sure we knew how to keep the seals in good condition with occasional wipe down. Many Thanks Kevin

Very happy with everything. Only problem is a cracked window but I've been assured it will be replaced.

SAR16441 - I had my roof line carried out by this company last year and they left my roof tiling in an unacceptable condition. Hey ho - I was told that the fitters went into administration and reformed as virtually the same company. A common enough experience as I understand it with this mob.

My issue is with the 'one off guarantee' payment I paid last year. I stipulated with my bank that I would make no further payments to this company, but they wrote to me recently stating that an entirely new company would be taking a new payment from me this year for the supposed 'one off' guarantee.

I contacted them, spoke to someone and told them in no uncertain terms were they to take any more payments from me. Guess what? They have used my bank details and set up a new direct debit to a company called 'CLEARWIN' that I have not approved or set up.

Outright theft and I have contacted my bank to have my £90 returned, but please beware of this company and read all of the small print. Pushy, dodgy salesmen, guarantees for work that they have no intention of honouring and numerous duplicate companies that are happy to play fast and loose with bank details!

Incredibly dodgy.

Having had a recent bad experience with a kitchen installation I was quite nervous about getting the windows fitted. However from the survey to installation the staff were excellent and I was able to relax knowing that they would carry out a good job. Workmanship is extremely neat and the windows look fantastic.

3 guys arrived at 1030 despite me being told it would be 830-9am, Noticed straight away the less than friendly reception from 2 out of the 3 men. Not even "hello or good morning" They then chucked a couple of dust sheets down that obviously had not been given a shake since last used & it was all over my floors, then when I was asking questions I was met with one word answers as if they could not be bothered. Noticed some scuffs on outside of windows which the friendliest of the 3 resolved right away. When they were almost finished 1 of the men asked me to sign some forms & "pay" for the windows, advised there would not be any payment until I had them checked by my Dad who had been in the game for 40+ years and ran his own building business & as the work was supposed to be done over 2 days not the 4 hours they completed it in, this made me worried to make any sort of payment until then, the guy with the paperwork said the paperwork was only to say they had installed the windows, given me the keys to them & the door etc. He was trying to rush me as I was looking through the checklist, which had already all been ticked "yes"? Anyway Dad arrived & gave all the ok apart from 1 wee snagging issue which was promptly fixed. When I went through the house to check..OMG I could not believe the mess..this was pointed out to the same guy ( 1 in charge i assume) he said it would all be tidied before they left...which it was not..the very few dust sheets they brought with them were removed & they then left. It has taken me nearly 4 hours to clean the mess they left behind them in their wake & I am still not finished...stour, plaster, bits of brick, expanding foam & also discovered were doing all the sawing of the upvc inner parts inside the house...despite the sun splitting the pavement!!! I had everything well cleared to the sides & away from windows before they arrived, along with all curtains & blinds removed, a double checked if I was to cover anything or do anything else, they replied NO. I assumed these guys would have professional type of dustsheets with them, instead of old curtains & bedsheets, if they were short they only had to ask!! Expanding foam was even in my toaster, in the cats food bowls & the TV was covered in dust and god only knows what.. yes maybe it was silly off me to assume these guys would cover everything that needed covered BUT never for a minute did I think there would be this kind off mess left behind. 20 years ago when last got new windows nothing & I mean nothing needed cleaned after the guys left. This is just a disgrace, luckily enough I am young & able to clean it myself but if an elderly persons house is to be left in this condition..how would they manage to clean it? The 4 windows & a door are fantastic quality, yes I may use St Andrews again for this alone BUT no way with the same fitters. Only 2 men's names on the sheet I have been left but 3 were here??

UPDATE 2/6/18 STILL WAITING ON GUARANTEE FOR WINDOWS & DOOR THAT WERE FITTED IN APRIL......7 TIMES I HAVE REQUESTED THIS.....quick enough to pester & bombard with phonecalls trying to get more business but cant send a bit of paper out!!!

I have had new windows put in at the front of the house, 2 new doors, and am in the process of getting a conservatory put in at the moment. I was so pleased with the workmanship and the quick time and efficiency of the work done that I had no hesitation in deciding to get St Andrews to build the conservatory. All the workmen were very pleasant and just got on with the work. I am just waiting on a few things to complete the job and am really pleased with it.
I could probably have got it done a bit cheaper elsewhere but you only get what you pay for and I am quite happy with what I got.

I can only say I am over that crescent moon right now thank you St Andrews and all the team including Kirsty (sales) I can't fault any of you - just me and my early doubts which David surveyor offered genuine reassurance. I must have had the best team Newhouse (NH) Scotland that's you Duncan (boss) & Davie installers, Todd & Callum (scaffold) just like magic they were in dustsheets down window out and fabulous new one in over two days done and dusted all checked. I think my cremated bacon butties went down well with the coffee? I shared photos of before and after on my facebook and had cracking comments. Extra bonus my paintings and weaving yarn will be protected from ultaviolot rays too and I now have a cosy back room to weave in yea!!! Flat's so cosy now, no drafts, less logs on fire cats happy too this was certainly a 'JOB WORTH DOING' thanks all

From my first encounter on the telephone with St Andrew's Home Improvements I was impressed. The offer seemed genuine and when I chatted to the two representatives who came to our home their help, advice and willingness to do their best for us was commendable. We kept them much ;longer than they anticipated but they were patient with us. The Installation Team came when planned and were a pleasure to have around our home. They got on with the job and left the place tidy. All in all it has been a positive experience.

Windows and doors fitted (by George and Graham) after a few setbacks. Fitting and finished to a great standard and cleared everything away when they were done. Great communication from the fitters to let me know what was going on.
