Rip off pricing

They did fix the issues with my car. So that’s good.
Issues fixed were: 1)replaced one front wheel bearing and 2) refit air-suspension compressor springs and repair leaking pipe. No new parts on 2), just refitted.

The shocker: £900 bill for the above.

Further advisories they recommended needed fixing:

- n/s/f anti roll bar link dust cover split £160.44 all in fitted
- front anti roll bar bushes worn (part of roll bar)+clamps £515.04 all in fitted
- n/s/f spring link ball joint slight play £516 all in fitted
- both upper suspension arms £1099.20 all in fitted

So, another c£2,300. I don’t doubt these need doing but their prices are eye watering.

Finally, my car went in clean and came back with dust and stains all over it. They couldn’t be bothered to clean my car despite their astronomical pricing.

I’ve given two stars because they’re expert at diagnosing and fixing - they are Mercedes specialists so I’m not surprised. But how can anyone give more stars when you feel you’re getting ripped off.

This garage managed to get me a £90 ULEZ fine.

I took my Mercedes E36 AMG in for non-starting fault, which took two goes to fix and a wasted journey to collect it (it failed to start on collection, but they did run me home) They road tested the car within the ULEZ area, but failed to inform me, and as the car was trailered to them from another garage I was unaware they were within the ULEZ area (by about 500m...) thus causing me to obtain the £90 fine. I have now been requesting the refund of £77.50 since early February, and they have failed to engage with me; apparently its my fault they failed to tell me...
