I have found Groupy to work extremely well. In fact I have a group of programs which I open with Groupy in their respective tabs and it works great. Saves time opening each program every morning when starting work. And closing them all at end of day. I also have found the colouring of the tabs a valuable feature.
The only negative is that it affect my VBA editor by removing the last-entered space character, which shifts the caret back to being hard up against the previous character. When using the VBE (not too often these days) I have to turn Groupy off.

I had a problem with Stardock Fences and sent an email about it to the support email address.

This was their reply:

I posted my question to their forum and got no reply. So basically if you have a problem with their software, you are on your own. There is no technical support available.

stopped working properly after one of the windows 11 updates. Explorer crashes. Windows freezes. Wallpapers get darker when click on right menu

I like Groupy2 very much. The only thing I kind of find it a bit annoying is when using the browser Vivaldi and I want ot switch to one of its tabs, Groupy will show up. I also would suggest Start11 as an Start menu alternative, if you are not happy with the Windows Start menu.

Great effects! I only wish there were more Dreamscapes that had 1st person starship points of view.

Great tool with some specific programs.
Lack some proper binds :
total custom bind, be able to choose specific window (for example i want to choose window 3, first one, last one and previous one.
Very reactive but can be a bit buggy sometimes

I've found Groupy is a nice solution to a very common problem, and tabs in almost any app definitely simplifies my workflow a lot. Installed it for the first time a few years ago, never went back.

Using Start11, Fences and Groupy. All are extremly helpful and productive and cover missing Windows functions.

A great gadget for staying organized and removing clutter.

I love this app, but find it VERY buggy. Constantly moves and resizes windows when new app instances/tabs are opened -- particularly challenges with Microsoft Outlook. Tabs are often unclickable too requiring me to force-close the app.

Works well, no bugs. Program helps me organize my desktop.

Even if it is not 100% perfect (some quircks in the behavior), it deserves 5 stars as it is the only software that I know to solve my use-case, not only my use-case, but I believe a prevalent use-case in the modern desktop interface for multitasking = a truly intuitive and efficient way to multitask, reducing the overhead by giving an overview in one look and a shortcut to other tasks in one and only one click.

I have been using Stardock products since 2001. They are very innovative. In fact so innovative that Micro$oft has ripped off so many of their products you would think Bill would be in jail! Aside from the Desktop Application side they've created a very lucrative gaming franchise.

I thought Fences was a perfect solution for organizing all the icons on my desktop, but if anything goes awry or you pick a wrong option, there's no support and you have to live with the screwed up desktop forever.

I have been a customer of Object Desktop which includes Groupy for years. The software adds missing functionality in Windows.

It really helps speed up multi-tasking, especially in situations when you have only a single monitor/screen to work with. I have multiple browser profiles for different accounts and often need several profiles open at once. Groupy really helps switching between profiles easy.

This is perfect for using animated desktop backgrounds. Can also be used as a screensaver if you want that option. Has a handy editor for creating your own dreams, but some special effects (lightning, fog, etc.) don't seem to be included in the editor... unless I'm missing it – I see a lot of dreams others made that have those types of effects in them, so they're either in there somewhere or they used some other method for the effect. Overall, I love this program & hope they'll continue to support it in the future... :D

They have been harrasing me about annual payments, i have been a good customer of stardocks fences program for many yearsand alot of my friends have bought the product on my recomendation. Stardock a few months ago offered me a lifetime serice of their fences prOGRAM< I p[aID THE fEe, now a few months later they threaten to close my account, i've sent them countless times the reciepts but they keep on threatening me, i'm a disabled vet and can't afford to be scammed by a huge company, please ask them what more do they want, thnk you,

I bought Galactic Civilization IV and initially loved it. But then it mysteriously quick working and now crashes every time I try and load the game or start a new game, making it unplayable. Stardock does not respond to any help or even provide any real way to get any help. Do not buy any games from them.

Although it took a bit longer than I would have expected they did resolve the issue.
